    I got one cause IDM and the promo vid gave a good idea of what's possible. Just got to the clock manipulation section (my mind was already blown) and you said "that will get you through the basics" I'm like there's more! I'M TOO DUM FOR THIS! Really incredible and you clearly have to be a genius to dream this up. So sick. Great walkthrough too. 10/10

    Since starting in Eurorack 5yrs ago Ive been wanting a module just like this. The closest one Ive seen is the Qu Bit Pulsar. I never bought one as it seemed too fiddly, and with button combos which I cant stand. Good work! Its in the cart

    • @MysticCircuits
      @MysticCircuits  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you so much! I try to make things that I want to use in my own music and I just know that if a module has a ton of button combos or a screen which can't be mostly ignored I'm not going to use it as much. IDUM isn't quite one-knob-per-function as there is a hidden menu but I tried to make it as "set and forget" as possible.

    • @MysticCircuits
      @MysticCircuits  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes this is definitely a goal that I don't see any issue in doing but it might take awhile as there are lots of small decisions that need to be made in order to do this effectively and then lots of testing to make sure everything is working right. Goal for next firmware is to iron out any bugs that pop up, increase the looper resolution and add 16 step sequencer support. Then after that I'll be working on the split mode and whatever other ideas come up by then.

      We plan on expanding on this concept with CV sources and pitch sequencing in the future. Gates were just the most simple and obvious place to start.

    • @MysticCircuits
      @MysticCircuits  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Hannes, apologies for the late reply. I was hoping to have the github page up and running by now but I've been so busy simply trying to keep up with IDUM orders that it has taken longer than expected and so it is still private while I clean things up a bit in there. I am very close to having the first firmware update ready at which point I will be opening up the github and the error message will hopefully go away. This is where the list of friendly sequencers will land as well.

    I don’t typically do percussion in eurorack, but I’m trying to envision the best way to use some thing like this with melodic sequences and voices. I’m thinking clocking inputs on Renee or sending different gates out to different voice modules…what do you think?
    Also, sorry if I missed it in the video, but does it modify incoming sequences to change notes in its output?

    • @calendries
      @calendries 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      My understanding is this module manipulates gates and triggers, not pitch CV.

    • @MysticCircuits
      @MysticCircuits  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The module mainly takes triggers in and out but can modify note sequences with the "clock" output which can scramble the order of steps in a connected sequencer.

    is the Param knob position saved for each mode independently or is always effecting all modes with the same range? I could imagine that I find a Param range 8-12 useful for one mode and a 6-9 range for another mode. I read the manual, excellent written btw., but I´m still unsure about this.

    • @MysticCircuits
      @MysticCircuits  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Apologies just seeing this, the param setting is shared across all modes. I did my best to make sure that turning the knob right makes things crazier and turning it left makes things less crazy but yes sometimes the sweet spots do not line up between modes.

    This is such a tough choice. Can it run more than one mode at once? Kinda between this or a Pamela’s new work out, but the fact Pam’s workout has been out there awhile makes me know I won’t ever have trouble finding one of those, but $295 is slightly rich for my broke yet into modular self… BUT…. damn those modes are the things I’ve been trying to find

    • @MysticCircuits
      @MysticCircuits  2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Currently only one mode is accessible. We will be working on adding multiple modes to a future firmware but its not going to be as simple as on Pams where you get a screen and encoder to set exactly whats going on, more like modulating the parameters will let you do more than one mode at once. Its important to keep in mind that the difference between Pams and IDUM is that Pams actually generates the triggers and IDUM only processes them so I hate to say you might get the most out of your setup by using...both.

    • @MidiFister

    • @MysticCircuits
