I totally get why solo entertainers prefer Ketron over others. They might lack latest tech but the people behind creating the sounds, samples and most of all the midis must be themself solo entertainers exactly knowing how to fulfill party crowds expectations. Yamaha et al never went this route of really listening to their costumers.

I HAVE OLDER KETRON AUDYA 5 and YOUNGER YAMAHA TYROS 5 ON THE STAGE AND RARELY USING TYROS, SINCE KETRON GIVES MORE REALISTIC SOUND, FEELS LIVE, UNLIKE YAMAHA WITH DARK SOUND AND LOTS OF EXTRA NOTES INSIDE PATTERNS WHICH MAKES MUSIC TOO BUSY, LESS GROOVY. THINKING OF REPLACING TYROS WITH SD-9

I'll wait for a keyboard who can 2000-2020. All styles Pop, Trap, Edm so on and so forth. This would be amazing. The Ketron sounds good for these styles of 1980-2000.

It works on SD7 and SD40 too. Good value. It's the price you would usually pay for 10 songs and you get much more.
