The restaurant owner, people call her Jazz. She is so sweet and an incredible cook. She’s been on Guy’s Grocery Games a few times, has won, and has also been featured in Diners Drive ins and dives, and a few other food-related content. She’s always the sweetest and happiest. It’s nice to see her on here.

Asian spice (including Indian and Thai) is a different level lol. I’m used to spicy Mexican food since I’m from Texas but it does not compare to the spiciness of Asian food.
Yes south east asia are the most spicy, east and south asia are still manageable.

I ate at a thai restaurant in Allen,Texas, and I thought that I was able to handle a medium amount of spice. Turns out I wasn't able to. At the restaurant there were spice levels from 1 to 7, so I choose 4, but my mom insisted that I chose level 3. I ate my food, and it was really spicy. My parents got like level 7, and they weren't even breaking a sweat. My parents have mouths made of steel

This might be some of the first Thai food in challenges that looks legit. Usually it's so bland and pale looking, but this looked so vibrant and dark with the spices. Well done from Thailand.

I love spicy but I can’t handle it at all. One piece of hot pepper is already too much for seasoning the whole chicken BUT I LOVE THE PAIN
The spiciness in my mouth resolved by repeatedly sipping on the hotter soup. Using suffering to offset suffering, you will soon recover from spicy food or eat together with fresh vegetables is the way that Thai people use. White turmeric will help take care of your stomach from spicy things.

I think the zucchini from the first dish was actually a Thai eggplant. Similar texture and appearance after being cooked, could be easily confused.

Papaya salad is a Thai food (north eastern Thailand).
@@user-ev9qp3yl3s Laos and Northern Thailand share many cultural and culinary traditions, Khao soi is also common in both, as is laab (larb). Its common to find similar things in both places.

Hahahah.. I'm from Southern Thailand, and I gotta say that was quite impressive. I mean Southern Thai food is known as the spiciest food in whole of Thailand, maybe even somewhere on the top 5 of the spiciest food on earth. Some people in Thailand believe that if you can enjoy Southern food then you can basically enjoy any spicy dishes anywhere in the world hahaha. But what most people don't know is that if you go to Thai restaurants, you can always tell them how much spices you want.. In Thailand you can always do that, and if it's not spicy enough then you usually find these condiments sitting on the tables in almost every restaurants. That's the proper way to order and I think it's the way most foreigners can enjoy Thai food more, most people will just order it and try the original flavors but trust me Southern Thai food is awesome but not for those who don't like spices

Pause eating spicy food for a moment, eat veggies, sip some water, eat rice or other non spicy till you coll down.. then get back to the hit 😆😆😆 when going to thai food restaurants, we normally order various types of dishes; spicy, mild, fried, curry etc., and eat them all together. Thai food is a social food. We share, we experience and have good time together. Sawasdee 🙏

You guys are so good at being able to eat southern Thai curry (Gang Phak Tai).
When I was in thailand I was actually disappointed about the lack of spicyness, but then I headed to the south. At a market I saw a dish I haven´t seen before, so I wanted it but the lady actually really didn´t want to sell it to me, saying it would be too spicy for me. I almost had to argue with her! It was actually really spicy, but I liked it a lot. It´s very deep and earthy and they add fresh and dry chillies a looot. It´s the combo of fresh and dry which makes it last a lot longer haha
Sounds like my kind of place. There's a Thai restaurant near me that grows their own green chillies, well, I may or may not have ate some of the peppers while waiting outside.
