Luke, it was said that he was the only guy that could walk in to a club with makeup & high heel shoes. & Walk out with your girl. Amazing talent & so missed. R.i.p. 💞💞
I love it when people who aren’t up on Prince find out just how unique and dope he was as an artist. There’s lots more of his music to explore. Check out “1999”, or “Kiss”. Great reaction btw!
There will never be another Prince, he was truly one of a kind. Unbelievably talented, androgynous, sexy, he lived and breathed music. Your reaction was amazing, I’d love to see you react to Darling Nikki! It’s gloriously raunchy, and the reason why the “Parental Advisory Explicit Lyrics” was created to put on album covers 😁
For a lifetime 😂. Been a causal prince fan since watching pr around 12. But since he died i feel a piece of my love of music died too. We lost the greatest intrumentalist.
@@godsson7787 For me, it was just the opposite - I got sick a while back, so, after Prince died I was stuck in bed; I started deep diving into his material and it brought back my love for music in a powerful way
Was so lucky to have heard this song live with a much slower beat. A stadium full of people and he had the magic to make it feel like he was singing just to you. 🎸💜
me too, I heard I wanna be Lover in NYC radio but didnt have a clue who he was till I came back home and bought my 1st Prince album Dirty Mind and I was S O L D
You described his energy PERFECTLY when you said the word “androgynous”. Everything about Prince is when both master energies are synced perfectly. Beautiful
Prince was brilliant - he mastered so many musical instruments, he could dance, he could sing, and he broke barriers. He was ahead of his time and that is why so many people did not see his true genius, if you dig further into his catalog though you will see what a prodigy he was. Very missed.
All the dancing the way he did it- jumping off parts of the stage into the splits, etc. for all those years is what caused his chronic severe hip pain and subsequent addiction that eventually led to his death.
He was fairly short for a man so he wore two inch heels. I cannot imagine doing all that jumping around in heels. It makes my feet hurt just watching that.
I think him becoming vegan or vegetarian, later in life, also added to his death. I know they say he took an overdose of pain pills, but by eating more nutrient rich foods, maybe he could have survived the overdose. He would have had more nutrients for his body to remove the drugs without so much dehydration.
Prince was always re-creating himself..always (all ways) evolving...a genre-less musical master. I would suggest exploring all his eras right up to 2016..it's debatable he was human 💫💜
He also "feels a little ill when he saw all the pictures of "the jockeys that were there before me" " yep, she's been round the block a few times shall we say?
When you were my age at that time, you were either team Prince or team Jacko. I was and always will be team Prince. He gave me the best concert I ever saw plus so much more.
"Need to find a love that's gonna last" The dicothomy in most all his songs. They sound so sexual but in the end he is for monogamy and TRUE relationships not flings, if your paying attention to the lyrics. Your one of the first I've seen to point this out. It took me a while to pick up on that, actually after he passed it sunk in how he was not into 'crazy sex flings' just the opposite, but he portrayed the wild sex in his music and vocals but what he really wanted was layered in his lyrics. That’s deep....but that’s what she said. xD
price is awesome. you should try reacting to 'Erotic City' by Prince, if you can find it. Haven't found it on TH-cam yet, maybe his estate don't want it out there. That song came out in the mid-80's and packed the dance floor. good luck, hope you find it!
I think that Little Red Corvette is one of the best written pop songs by anyone ever! Prince is awesome in the video for this song and the lyrics are brilliant! I often wonder what amazing music Prince would be doing today if he were still with us.
I was 12 going on 13 in 1983. This video came out on MTV and it was mind blowing to see that kind of "sexiness" by a man. To this day I still think it's one of the most sexy songs out there. My black cat that I rescued a few years back is named after this beautiful icon named Prince. Try the song 'I would die for you' and the naughty song 'Darling Nikki'.
Great reaction! Prince was the best. If you want check out some different sides of his genius try Kiss or Raspberry Beret. Both of these are extremely unique.
It's actually from 1982. Ppl always say there's so much more Prince music and yet don't name that much more music. These ppl stopped listening in the 80s and don't wanna admit it
If you want to be seduced by another male singer, check out 18 & Life by Skid Row. It's an 1989's hit rock song and Sebastian Bach was truly a beautiful man.
I saw him perform at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas in 2002. He was the most mesmerizing artist. Hot and very sexy and good looking. I fell in love with him for his musical and singing ability and overall artistry❤
Nice T-Shirt, in harmony with his Royal Badness. And glad you're starting your Prince voyage with his starting/coming into fame era. Please check out "Lady cab driver" from the same 1999 album. A song almost no one reacted to, if you're into raw raunchy funk you'll gonna find your match there. Sick analog drums, bass, guitar, keyboards plus "natural" sounds that aren't still so common to this day on songs (courtesy of a sound bank from Sunset Sound Recording studios in LA where the album was recorded), and also the incredible performance of Jill Jones. "Automatic" from the same album has a very explicit video and a futuristic sound, even by today's standards. And "Delirious", still from 1999, is a wacky Prince take on rockabilly (he was a Stray Cats enthusiast, the word "fan" wasn't in his vocabulary).
And remember that he was wearing high heels whilst strutting his stuff. So many women have problems just walking in them let alone trying to dance like he does in them.
ALERT: BETTY DAVIS, QUEEN OF FUNK ROCK JUST PASSED at 77. HUGE Influence on PRINCE, all the way! She's the groundbreaking trailblazer Sista who knew Hendrix & loved Clapton, married Miles Davis and named his album Bitches Brew. Her raw gritty erotic Blues Funk Rock must be heard!!! Sadly she never achieving success of fame in her lifetime. Maybe she will after death. With only 4 albums CHECK HER OUT especially her debut with an ALL STAR band with members from Sly Stone, Santana & Journey. PLEASE PLAY SOME BETTY in Tribute!!
A point of history Little Red Corvette and a couple of the other vids were recorded at a Military base hanger they rented for a couple of days.Notice no audience.
Prince does take mannerisms from others like Jimi Hendrix, etc. But starting at 3:30 on this video where he does the thing with fingers across the eyes, I think he got that from the 1966 Batman tv series bcuz when Batman was drugged & dancing he did that movement. Unless it was something dancers did before either of them; I dont know for sure.
Prince always knew what he was doing. And he nows very Wel what he should do……to get all completly crazy….he had said self, Yes I did all with purpose……and laf…….try Queen with Freddie Mercury he was almoust the same. And many I have heard at interview said that Prince took much after Freddie. And Freddie loved Prince he had one vid he look over and over. They never met. In my mind I think that was maybee the best, I hope they are together in heaven 💜♥️ if you will try Queen I recomend Dragon attack and Sombody to love from Montreaul -81, you wil not bee disagrimvments…….
The boy was a mess. His music saved my life...And he wasn’t an addict. Defendant, maybe but not a full blown addict. I’ve known addicts, I’ve buried addicts (RIP unc) Look at Amy Winehouses final performance and look at his...I got questions.
Believe it or not, Prince was a Jehovah's Witness and actually did the door to door thing they do for a little while. Don't know if he rode a bicycle or not, but can you imagine your doorbell ringing and it's Prince standing there with a "Watchtower" tract?🤭🤣
I don't know if it is true or not, but he never wanted to sing. He only wanted to write the songs. I guess he had too much charisma to stay hidden in the background.

Slow down........yes in live ils even better
They say that Princes music sounds better when he performs it live which seems unbelievable because usually it's the other way around.
Old lady here...been a Prince fan since Dirty mind. Great songwriter, great on all instruments...but gee how I love his guitar playing!

His voice can range pretty much everywhere.
You described his energy PERFECTLY when you said the word “androgynous”. Everything about Prince is when both master energies are synced perfectly. Beautiful

Luke my daughter saw prince twice,. She was so in love with him❤️❤️❤️❤️. She's 54. Now & is still so hurt by his death. 💔💔💔😢
Little note...when Prince was younger he took ballet...he loved to dance...he use to jump from high speakers into a split...love this man forever...💜

'She had a pocket full of horses, Trojan, and some of them used'. Trojan is a well known American brand of condoms.
Prince was fearless. Preformed a song about sexual identities called Controversy, and in a leather jock strap and trench coat. Like I said. Fearless.
Yup, sis was for the streets😂
He also "feels a little ill when he saw all the pictures of "the jockeys that were there before me" " yep, she's been round the block a few times shall we say?
That little move you did when Prince did the mic stand whip at 6:15 cracked me up! Loved your reaction -- do more Prince!
