Thank you so much 🙂 I'm really pleased my videos are helping you and you are sharing them.
I am basically recording them in the order they are listed in the Anthology 'Poems of the Decade'. I am trying to get into a routine of putting a new one live each weekend.
The next videos due to be shared are 'A Minor Role', then 'The Gun'.
I am planning to record and upload the rest over the next few weeks 🙂
I hope this helps, and thank you again for the lovely comment.

Hi, thank you so much for this video: it is really helpful! I noticed that although this poem does contain an idealistic depiction of childhood this is tempered with elements of the sinister and macabre, such as the "cesspit" and the "scared-lanes", as you said this could represent the 'encroaching adulthood' but I think it also has the effect of unsettling the reader and perhaps Dunmore is commenting on how we can, at times, unhelpfully idealise past versions of ourselves through the way she mentions and then sidelines the negative aspects of childhood? Thank you!

Totally, that's a great interpretation! As long as you can explain and support your ideas then it's great to make your own critical interpretations of the poems 🙂

Hi, yes, of course. My aim is to record all of the poems in the Poems of the Decade anthology for the Edexcel exam, so I will definitely be covering Genetics. I plan to record and upload them in the order they are listed in the anthology.
      I hope this helps 🙂
