I was born in '93, just before this came out. My ex brother-in-law gave me a SNES with a bunch of games in the early 00s, with this included. Played the fuck out of all them, but DKC was the absolute peak. I've still got that SNES and all of its games. That piece of plastic holds a special place in my heart ❤
One of the most magical OSTs of the whole trilogy. I like how you enhanced the restoration compared to the previous one. I thought it was perfect, but now i'm surprised that it could be improved. Thank you for the hard work that you're putting in this project. PS.: I love the random videos that you put in your restorations hehe...
I’d like to think they’re motorized. You never see where they’re attached to, and the next cave level has motorized platforms and saws in it. Plus, there’s a similar mechanic in DKC3 in 7-1 with the conveyor ropes.

I dont think I've ever beat this level. I always ended up using the shortcut at the start of the level to skip it entirely... I guess it's time to replay this game to challenge myself

It only plays in one level, and that level is the only one with the ice cave aesthetic. The game had more caves and mines. At least the other games avoided the problem, right? (Haunted Chase) Oh, right.

I discovered the Norwegian electronica duo Röyksopp from a Geico commercial 15 years ago and they have a ton of fun songs. You shouldn't just write an artist off based on where you hear the music!
So the extended restorations are also the most updated ones? I thought you had both regular-length and extended versions of the most recent restorations.

Love the music the level is beautiful with that sparkling ice, and love how they kept to the cold atmosphere by using blue Kremlings.
