Beachhead is one of the best GI Joes, Former Army Ranger and Delta Operator. Trained in CQB and Weapons. Been in the service for a very long time, was always the first one thur the door on raids. Duke always said he wished everyone was like beachhead. Hawk always wanted beachhead as a cadre
According to his file, Beachhead is also extremely level-headed and cool most of the time. The reason he acts so annoyed here is because the thing that pisses him off the most are slackers...soldiers that don't give their 100%. And he got a big fat dose of that here with these "rawhides."

Rocket, not gun The vehicle malfunctioned and didn't shoot the projectile, so he BECAME the rocket launcher and shot it by hand. He was one combat knife away from being Brock Sampson.

What I've read is that the makers of this movie changed Duke's fate because this movie came out just a few months after the Transformers Generation 1 movie and they were still in shock over the death of Optimus Prime.
I always figured that, and someone from the production crew said you could tell if you looked carefully. Well, of course: everyone ACTED as if he were dead, while the mitigating stuff was heard OFF-SCREEN.

Hahahaha. Tunnel Rat's toting a sweet revolver (hand cannon), and all he has to do is crawl through a pipe, emerge, and blast the shit outta the laser-turret with one shot. Big Lob's journey to successful completion of this evolution seems a little tougher, lol. Interesting factoid: I read that actual tunnel rats in Vietnam preferred revolvers because they were more reliable in filthy, muddy, confined spaces than magazine-fed auto-type pistols. Less rounds, but more likely to work through malfunctions and the horrible conditions you'd find in a tunnel system. Love this attention to detail and this video.
Honestly, as much as I didn’t like the movie, this is one of the few things I loved about it. Just watching Beachhead train the new recruits is just nice to see Edit: ok I lied, this movie is bananas and I love it
Very good retro scope animation on the dog when he first came in. Jinx is awesome! Big Lob and Tunnel Rat were hilarious. Any army soldier that can hurl a large missile with his bare hands deserves an honorable mention .
Big Lob was technically the hero in all this....he was the one to crash the vehicle into that plant that held the rest of the Joe's captive later in the movie.
There are so many masked characters in GI joe, Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow, Beach head, Torpedo, Firefly, the Cobra Troopers and Cobra Commander. As a kid, I used to think that they were all ninjas.

Full Metal Jacket came out around the same time as this movie. R. Lee Ermey would have had to tone down his language for the cartoon. But if they eliminated all restrictions, I would imagine him saying to Tunnel Rat and Big Lob, "quickly. God damn, you two move slower than old people fuck".
yea but he wants them to stick to the training regime. most drils are like that. but i think that he is secretly proud of his recruits when they pass. he is the type of guy that you hate at base but your glad he is on your side in combat.
@@xrosswilson1793 This is true. Drills are generally prepared to improve your overall health, endurance and stamina as well as prepare you for whatever you face. Them not following it kind of defeats the purpose of going through drills. On the other hand, in actual combat Beach Head is way more accepting of individual quirks since results are what matters on the field.

Ya gotta love that this film not just had bits for the kids... but also for the adults *and* those in the Military. Beachheads line of "AND DON'T CALL ME SIR!" might seem off, given he is her (Jynx) superior... but he's _not_ an officer. He's an NCO... and he's Army as well. Army NCOs are *never* called "Sir/Ma'am". They're referred to either by the their full rank (in Beach's case, it'd be Staff Sgt), or an abbreviated version of the rank where possible. Also I love how he completely fails to notice that Chuckles did in fact try to use the weapons correctly... but they suffered a misfire. Which means that if he was trying to use the ATGMs on the side and that's the one that misfired, getting it off the tank was the correct move (since its warhead is now live)... yeeting it at the HISS may have been a bit much... but it worked.
Ben Geiger In the comics he actually is like a undercover agent who works behin the scenes a whole lot. In the movie I'm not sure what they were going for but he's basically a strong silent type lol

Y'know, when you think about it, JOES were ahead of their time. Of the five recruits you got a black guy, a Japanese woman, a Chinese American (not sure if they had made the back story for TR at this point, but whatevs) and... whatever Spanish speaking country Law came from.

Also I love how he completely fails to notice that Chuckles did in fact try to use the weapons correctly... but they suffered a misfire. Which means that if he was trying to use the ATGMs on the side and that's the one that misfired, getting it off the tank was the correct move (since its warhead is now live)... yeeting it at the HISS may have been a bit much... but it worked.
So I presume "Chuckles" is a mute.

Ben Geiger In the comics he actually is like a undercover agent who works behin the scenes a whole lot. In the movie I'm not sure what they were going for but he's basically a strong silent type lol

Y'know, when you think about it, JOES were ahead of their time. Of the five recruits you got a black guy, a Japanese woman, a Chinese American (not sure if they had made the back story for TR at this point, but whatevs) and... whatever Spanish speaking country Law came from.
