Wool dryer balls are one of the most effective ways to save both time and money when drying your clothes in a dryer.
They help make room between the clothes so that more hot air can get in between the clothes and dry them faster. They are said to help reduce drying time by up to 25%!

I needle felted several from wool roving, and I was amazed at how well they work. I also learned how to make my own washing soap. The combination of the home made soap and the dryer balls was truly amazing. My grandmother really knew these secrets, for sure. Thanks for the tips, I found them very helpful.

It is really handy, and friendly for both the wallet and our environment
Not a good feature if you have a mix of fabrics in the dryer. Example: I put towels, t-shirts, underwear, jeans in a load. Dryer shuts off. Clothes are dry, but towels still damp. Very irritating!

I add lavender essential oil to my dryer balls as well. They’re so helpful to decrease the drying time with sheets and towels!
It smells so good! I have really grown to love using these balls. The only drawback I have noticed is that it can be hard to fish them out of the blankets after they're done drying

It depends a lot on what oil you're using. I generally add every time or every other time
Can the essential oil be put on the water 1st vs the dryer ball and then dip it in the water ? Would that make a difference on the smell(if you want your clothes to smell like the essential oil? Random thought
That would work fine :) I'd suggest putting it in a spray bottle instead so you can have it ready for the next time as well
Drier balls still leave my gym shirts with static cling. How do you avoid this?

Drier sheets that are all chemical wouldn't leave static.
Thanks for the suggestion but I'm trying to save some money and use less chemicals in my laundry. Im sure it would work though. Sheets do when I used them in the past.
5:35 5:35 Do I have to run the dryer only or can I run the laundry with the dryer and put the balls inside and they are washed and dried after that?
I'd throw them in during the drying programme as they will absorb a lot of water if you let them stay in there during washing. If you want to use dryer balls in your washer/dryer combo machine plastic balls may be a better option than wool ones.
So I can save 10 or 20 cents if I check to see if my clothes are dry 2 or three times towards the end of the cycle,,,,, I don't think so.
Just until you get used to how much faster they dry :) After you have familiarized yourself with them it's easy savings in my opinion

If you’re struggling with lint I’d try the tip in the video. If that doesn’t work, i recommend some great woolen balls that doesn’t shed lint in the video description
