Great idea for building stairs in a side hill. I really like how these turned out. Any questions about the build please ask. Simple to build design anyone can do. Thanks for watching. Dave.
We used 12” construction screws to join them together starting at the top/ patio portion. You can also use rebar by drilling a half inch hole and pounding them through into the ground in a few places. Also we use metal stakes sometimes to hold from inside the box. Thanks for watching. Dave.

How are the boxes fixed in position

I like the look. What would I use to protect the pressure treated lumber after it dries out? Do I need to stain it?
Thanks!!
You certainly could stain it like you said after it dries. It would help with the life and look of the timbers.
Dave
Thx for the advice 😊
