Dad and I back in 1980 must’ve gone on that thing 20 times over the course of two hot summer days. The fun was on as soon as “dispatching”. came over the com. I was a 11 year old coaster junkie. Best memory ever.
Dude this ride is a sneaker. I sat in the last row and really wasn't expecting much from this ride. As I haven't ridden it in 20 years. It was so much fun
Fun Fact: This was my FIRST ride ever- I had my eyes closed the entire ride, and when I was at the top, near the end: I opened my eyes and that was my only scream the entire ride-
I’m a coaster enthusiast, and this is still my favorite coaster at the park. Admittedly Ghost Rider is a VERY close second, but I love the intensity of the loop and weightlessness on the spikes. It’s also fantastically smooth and the ride has a very charming Schwarzkopf roar. The launch is also decent.
I went to knott's back in the mid 1980's this ride was there back then I was barely tall enough to ride it it looks exactly the same except the whole track was all yellow but this ride has been there for a minute! Still a fun ride
I was 7 when I first rode this ride and I passed out I’m about to turn 13 this Monday and I wanna go on it I love fast things so hopefully I don’t pass out again 😂
Your memory is playing tricks on you...it was at the park from 1991 to 2005 but the Bullet was not a straight track like this one...it curved around - here's my video of it th-cam.com/video/IK7ahXN6iQ4/w-d-xo.html
I’m pretty sure there is one in California and one in South America. We used to have one in great America park but it was removed. Japan had one but it was removed because of the noise.
Glad to see it is still there. Ahead of their time, my parents wisely moved us away from California 34 years ago. I was ten, and never got the nerve to ride it. If I ever find myself in disgusting California again, I'll surely head straight for this coaster.
I went on this in '83 as a 16 year old. . . scared shirtless, but closed my eyes & made it, then at bottom, sdaw a pretty girl around my age & offered her the comfort of my presence on the ride -- we went twice before my crew was moving onward. ..
I rode one similar to this called Tidal Wave at Six Flags Great America where it ran from 1978-1991. The only difference is that one used a cable pulley launch instead of the flywheel shown here.
this ride was so fun and it was my first upside down ride! in real life, it’s not that scary, i was only 10 when u first rode it and my sister was 7/8, and we both loved it so much we kept going on it! i recommend it, because now i’ve gone to six flags and have loved going on upside down rides, when i used to be SO SCARED of doing it
There are differences...the view is the obvious one...but you will feel the g-forces at different times in relation to the speed of the train, so actually there can be quite a lot of difference...perhaps not so much on this type of ride but on coasters in general the front and the back can be completely different ride experiences.
Infinite gamer98 the front seat doesn’t show everyone’s head. Personally I like the back seat only because 1 it goes slower on the loop and 2 when u go backwards your higher than the rest of the car
cool - my best riding day was on Nemesis at Alton Towers...32 rides straight in the morning...had lunch...32 more rides in the afternoon and then drove home! @@montezoomasrevengefanboy6477
@@leonardosanchez9879 well, it really depend where you are sitting. there was a g force reading on another shuttle loop that once operated in japan and, although it did pull high 4 gs in the front, it could sometimes pull 5.5-6 gs in the back.
shawn phillips its me again and i havent gon to knotts in 2 months and i will go again soon but wathing this brings back memories.and this was the very frist ride i got on at knotts😘😊😊😊
One time I went there I rode it at least ten times. The line for it was probably the shortest in the park.
Brian Washington true the line was the shortest one
Brian Washington jh
Zxck,

When I went it took like 20 minutes cause there was a lot of people.

Lena Tortilla lol ..i probably was screaming its so weird how u can be scared and excited at the same time

This ride never disappoints. So fun! Love Knott’s.
This past week at Knotts, Montezuma's Revenge is getting repainted back to its original Yellow color scheme.
I saw it! It looks really good.
When I got on this I was so scared and then after I got so hyper I went like 5 times 😂
DoraWeaveFell
Yeah same the lines and waiting gives you butterflies but it’s so fun
Lol same me and my friend went 13 times on a school field trip
Same my heart was beating so fast my friend could hear it

It's a great coaster - shame so few of them remain
davidjellis Luckily I only live 6 hours away from this one!!
Still one of my favorite rides ever! Best in the back seat! Great rush!!!

finally i can see what actually happens during the ride
Now that's a shuttle loop coaster.
Once I rode that thing 20 times in a row. It's the best coaster ever.
It's a fine ride indeed!
This is my favorite ride at Knott’s
Marathoning this is the best
Dog9040 100% agree

When I’m on the ride: 😳🤯😭😢😱😨😰😥😥😅🤪😭😭😭😭😭😭😪😴
Super fun ride! Love Knotts Berry!
It was closed Tuesday. Glad I have a pass to try again. I haven't ridden this since about 1985.
Hope you have better luck next time!
This is so fun in the back 👌🏻
We had a ride exactly the same as that at flamingo land called the bullet
This was about 25-30yrs ago
I think it was moved to fairground in Mexico

Wasn't that long ago lol and again it wasn't exactly the same, twas a shuttle loop but the track design was better than this one.
do not open ur eyes on the loopy loop part backwards it makes u dizzy
Didn't make me dizzy :-)
It made me super dizzy lol
nah it just makes you fall forward
Friday15AJ cotaa yea probably why I didn’t like this ride
flan same
My first upside down roller coaster! So good!
It's a great ride!
Oh this is my favorite ride I went on 5 times I think
Still my favorite Schwarzkopf ride.. there are only two of these left. Feel lucky
I am aware of 4 currently operating (this one, one in Mexico, one in Belgium and one in Japan)
I’m pretty sure there is one in California and one in South America. We used to have one in great America park but it was removed. Japan had one but it was removed because of the noise.
There was also one in Kentucky.. it’s gone too

Props to riders who can do hands up! I know how forceful the ride is even when it's going backwards in the loop! O_O! Awesome! :-)
It's a great ride!
This ride was so fun
and still is, of course!
I went on that ride and it was so fun!!!
Totally agreed - shame so few of these kind of rides are left
Was that you favorite ride?🤔

I hope the next one goes so far.... First ever launch style coaster and they need to check the loop

Lovely story - thanks for sharing
I love this ride so much if u can go on it i recommend it so much
Do you get that feeling in your stomach and what parts of the rride do you get it?
@@MrGoat-yt9xr i mean i Don't get that feeling in my stomach because their isnt a huge drop. Some people are different. But its a really fun ride!

Still great fun though
This ride may not look intense trust me it’s a swarshskopf ride and those rides are usually intense and this ones no different
It caught me off guard today. I ended up riding it about 4 times lol
Yeah baby!!! ❤ ❤ ❤
nice video bro
Thanks :-)

Try riding the last seat on the rear that's even more scary I found that out myself. Ha! Ha!
I come from the future
what's the weather like?
@@davidjellisglobal warming is messing around
We had the same ride called the golden loop
Was that at Gold Reef City?
To the people who have rode this before, is the bar tight enough??
Yes - but gravity holds you in anyway!
Thank you. I'm kinda nervous about riding it but I want too lol
It's very safe - just do it :-)
this was my first upside down ride.
toxic chxrii i’m scared to go on it i never went on an upside down ride and i’m going october 13 (my birthday) so do you recommend it
I passed out I only remembered being upside down but after we went up and dropped I remembered
If remember riding this with my friend she keeps saying weee me saying ahh ahaha it was soo fast
Whoah that looks epic, even though it looks faster than 55moh
this was on a Highway to heaven episode
whats the difference between the front seat and any other seat your gonna benefit the same thing nomatter what

bro why is the voice so deep it be fr sounding like the main villian or some sort of steriods 😭
There's a scary video of the cable breaking on this ride and injuring a couple of riders. They changed the maintenance schedule as a result.
Oh dear - that's not good!
Was it this one, or Xcelerator ? This is a fly wheel launch, but Xcelerator is a cable launch.
Sean Lewis It was on Montezooma's Revenge. A father and son had cable come up through the floor at them.
Docktor Jim I'm pretty sure that one was Xcelerator.
the loop is so fast it hurts my head
I mean, it does pull 5.5+ G's
