- In this video I show the TronixPro beach seat box and the Breakaway backpack adapter.
Based on the popular Beta Box design concept, the number one beach fishing seat box preferred by the pleasure and match angler. This design has been the mainstay style of tackle box used by anglers for years. Due to this popularity, several accessories and modifications have been developed over the years, when professionally fitted, they can enhance the tackle box to be the ultimate in organisation and carrying capacity.
The design is lightweight but tough, taking the original line to a different level by using tougher plastic than previous versions of the box, increasing its longevity and making sure the tackle inside is protected.
Although we’ve called it a Beach Seat Box, it is a general-purpose tackle box too. This same timeless design is used by coarse and fly anglers, the perfect storage solution for all their tackle and a comfy place to sit during a session too.
The Beach Box comes with a comfy padded strap that makes life easier when walking long distances over a beach, it is also the perfect size to slide onto the Tronixpro Beach Trolleys. There are optional side trays available which are handy for storing bait and other close to hand accessories during a session.

Brilliant video Mark, some really useful advice as always. I’ve always struggled with taking too much gear when I fish so I try now to limit what I take. I like using the Shakespeare Box Sherpa as well, this has really helped me on long shingle walks.
It is so tempting to take that “just in case” or pack that because “I might need it” but in reality a lot of the time I’m hauling kit and not using it. There will always be that time you wish you had something but hopefully very rare.

Great video mark. I must admit with the different shapes of kit i have there is a lot of waisted space in my box.
The weight bags help make sense of that.

I had a Shakey beta box and someone gave me a pair of trays for it, but they don't fit side by side inside the beta box so have upgraded to the bigger one. Usually goes on a trolley anyway so size not an issue. I also looked at Gas struts but that would have put me back to square one, so bought a sprung kitchen door hinge, and screwed to the centre at the back of the box with a 40mm x 200mm strip of 5mm ply, lift it up & that keeps the lid open!

Ah, the little box. I forgot to return to that didn’t I?
It is full of many wonderful things all of which are shiney and bright 🪄
In short it has a sample of anything small I may need, swivels, clips etc. The only thing worth mentioning that might help is I’ve super glued the partitions in so nothing creeps underneath and mixed together.
@@seaangling Supergluing the partitions is something I hadn't thought of, and a tip-top suggestion! 👍👍 I usually carry two boxes like that - one similar to your for links and swivels etc, and another slightly larger one for Lures. Always take the Lure rod, even if bait fishing.

There is something refreshing about decluttering but then there is the anxiety of maybe needing something. I think I am almost there for my fishing. 🎣
I much prefer to make my rigs in the workshop than on the beach.
I use Velcro on the inside lid and have a few bits velcroed to it so easy at hand ie lighter, nail clippers bait elastic 2 rig winders that kind of stuff
I’m always losing my bait elastic 🤨
That’s made me think about how much junk I carry to go fishing Mark , thanks I will now have to slim it all down …. And that includes myself 😂
It was my recent 3 sessions at Chesil that made me rethink everything. I’ll be down there through the autumn/winter.
Good review Mark👍. I've been looking at some tronixpro luggage lately,🤔 and it looks ok, and decent prices. Using public transport though🚌🚌, I have to use a rucksack now.😟😟
Before I go out the door I always check with rods, reels, rigs, weights and baits. Then clothes and food for me.🤞🤞
This was after a trip years ago when I arrived and found I'd left my bait at home.😲😲
Luckily the 2 lads I was with had enough for me.👏👏

There have been early signs of cod up here in the NE, but there has, just this week, been another mass of crustaceans, and apparently fish this time, washed up on the shores of Teesbay. We will have to wait and see the 'reports' on this one.
Great video and review mate. I highly rate Tronixpro products (have the Competition Performance rod, what a tool!) however how would you say this box would stack up with 3 x Surfcaster fixed spools in the bottom?
I have the Shakesphere Beta box and find that I need the extra room due to the bulkier reels (bulkier than multi’s). I would be interested to hear your view mate.
3 x 8000 series surf casting reels are certainly bigger than multipliers but thinking on it I would configure the box differently.
Maybe use 1 weight bag for weights only and use the space for the other 2 for your reels in FS bags. You could even stack another weight bag on top of each other for all your tools, elastic, scissors, knife etc.
In short I think it could work but I would suggest a deep sort out and see what is necessary and maybe weigh your box with your scales and see what could be streamlined. 🎣👍🏻

Great video Mark can you tell me what size the bait bag is please as i have just got one of the boxes .
I believe it is the standard size for the box.
I know you said you only carry 4-6 leads, but how many leads have you fitted in one? And is that with or without the grip wires sticking out?
6 x 6oz grip weights would easily fit in one bag.

What’s your recommendations for beach clothing for winter warmth and waterproof comfort.
A very good question and something that has a few variables in my opinion.
Layers are key and a heat source.
Nice tracksuit bottoms and a T-shirt for starters, thin fleece zip up with a hoody for your core. It then depends if you are going for goretex top and trousers which I like or waterproofs.
A hat and a heat source. For the coldest weather I use the zippo hand warmers but there are now the battery rechargeable types that I’d like to try.
Some go for chest waders and smock but I find those cold.
Thermal suits have their place but are hard work as single layer and make me sweat which in turn makes you cold.
In short I would get something wind and waterproof and layers for warmth.

I don’t have a cushion on this smaller box but I did have one on the larger version. I haven’t really missed it and have gotten use to the reduction in space. It sits better on the back and is less cumbersome.
It's perfect for the type of beach fishing I do, I'm genuinely well organised and I think most of my gear will fit in that lovely.

@@kevincarter4163 if you like the box well organised have you seen the 3 weight bags that fit perfectly in the bottom? I love the way they keep everything sectioned. They keep the centre of gravity low and the box is less tippy.
Would the breakaway conversion kit fit this smaller box, greate vid mate. 👍
I’m not 100% sure if the break away weight storage fits as I don’t like it and haven’t fitted it. The back rest has 2 different mounting types so you have to get the right one for your box.
I much prefer storing weights lower in the box in the Tronix bags, makes the box more stable and less tippy.

Where do I get the weight bags mate ?
They are made by TronixPro so their website and I think Veals stock them. 👍🏻
Be aware . There are two types of breakaway back rests. Make sure you buy the correct one for your box. I made the mistake of trying to fit the one with red fittings to my beta box.,when i should have bought the one with black fittings. Lesson learned the hard way.

It does and I use it all the time. There are 2 different kits for the 2 different size boxes.

They are very similar but there are 2 sizes that sometimes catch people out. I’m using the smaller of the 2 with the breakaway back rest which makes it very portable especially crossing beaches.

I'm looking at getting a seat box and breakaway backrest to replace my current box
I've got one of the small ones that sit inside a backpack attachment but find it's not very comfortable especially when trudging a road chesil
Fishing Chesil recently on 3 separate occasions focused my thoughts towards this change and I’m really happy with the result.
@@seaangling fished chesil last night and really need to lighten up my gear, you make a good point about not taking so many leads I always end up taking more than I use

Love your channel mark but it's just a very overpriced box. It might be suitable for fishing but the price is a joke...
It is “just a plastic box” but I think the price is comparable and there are others a lot more expensive.
@@seaangling I wasn't having a pop at tronix, all the boxes are overpriced, all probably made in China for peanuts. But the choice to buy is respectfully with the consumer. Good luck. I do enjoy the channel.
