The thing is... if it was an attempted coup then it's the most inept in history. Once the protestors are in the Capitol, then what? How do you get from there to Trump getting a second term? As Beau says, you need the military on board - at this point you'd declare martial law and rerun the election, this time with the "correct" result.
idk, I just think that Trump is utterly incompetent and playing with forces he doesn't understand, and can't control. He's just a dollar-store dictator. Either way, it's still 25th Amendment or impeachment time. Get him out before he causes any more damage.

We shouldn't be scared, we should be upset. And this should make more people get involved and write to these Republican Senators and ask them Why, Why are you helping this behavior from T. You didn't do anything to help the people. You are taking our money as taxpayers we expect you to be protecting us. But you have failed . If they can't do their jobs, they need to step down. They have failed us.

I was scared already when a group of top military guys found it necessary to declare that the military will not interfere with the democratic process. They would not have said that if there was not something going on behind the scene.

I watched the chaos on tv and still can’t get the images out of my mind. I never thought I’d see Americans attacking the capital and yes I believed that it would never happen here. It is heartbreaking that we’ve come to this point.
