I bought a pair of rods of Ritchie in the early 80's when he worked in Arnolds Rods in Waltham Cross. Still use them sometimes.

When casting to a show or an area where you have seen activity on the solids bag method how long do you leave the rod out for ? . Just to clarify I don't mean on a baited spot just a bag alone

Depends really mate, if I feel I should be catching then I’ll happily recast every 30 minutes. On other lakes I’ll leave for hours if I know it’s in the right zone.

It’s a Korda Compac 140 pouch mate. Perfect size
couldnt have a bigger blank then me, super tough lake stock of 60 to 80 fish and to top that off my rod snapped for no reason

Spoons or Anybody know a good method for fishing a solid bag with rig tube rather than leadcore/leaders ? As my place has a ban on leadcore/leaders and I've tried messing about to do solids with rig tube but am struggling

How stupid to keep the fish out of water for another several minutes to apply an antiseptic ointment to a fish that lives in silt, clay, and sewage. Wake up ya clowns before every fishery in the country demands you use this nonsense. The only way this should be used is each fishery gives every paying angler a sessions worth of “medicine” 🤣.
