Another setting I would recommend changing is turning Hold To Swing on! I thought this was default but I guess not haha. It allows you to do some more advanced combos! As time passes, peopel are figuring out new tech and combos so I will be doing a more advanced guide in the near future so stay tuned for that!! I'm also noticing I didn'te explain the keybind switch well. When swapping your pull keybind to x, e still remains as your self pull keybind. X to pull towards you and E to pull yourself towards them! Having it on a different bind enables this and adds flexibility!

This is actually a really good guide for beginners! Here are some things I've picked up being Spiderman main on controller who is ranked silver ll atm: SINGLE DOUBLE JUMP: if you spam your jump button 3 or more times then QUICKLY hit ur melee button, you'll end up above your target's head to do Spider-Man double axe dunk move which dose alot more DMG. you can follow up with a web cluster before or after for double DMG too ALWAYS! WEB ZIP ANIMATION CANCEL: if you follow the guide in the video, and turn the automatic swing off you can web zip, but you get the cartwheel animation Spider-Man does which leaves you open to take incoming damage. You can instead cancel it by quickly doing web clusters to bunny hop and quickly get around the map even faster, so it should be in this ORDER! web zip then web cluster (in unison) which Yu can follow up as a combo as well. I also play claw so maybe this explanation sounds confusing so if you're someone trying to get into ranked and your on controller Im happy to help with any additional questions I can go in more detail on! Considering the first character I decided to main is a 5 star difficulty and is as squishy as Venom looks, I can say I’m in for a hell of a learning curve with Spidey, but honestly, it fits his lore so I’m cool with the uphill fight lmao
I'm kinda happy he is this difficult and once you get him down, there's no other character that is anywhere near as fun as him imo. He is definitely the hardest character to learn in the game tho imo

Great guide, but I don't understand why changing the keybind from E to X makes you able to use "get over here" to pull them even if they have the spider tracer on them. It's just a different key - why does it allow you to alter the properties of the ability? What has changed there?
I don't really understand what you mean. But if you mean that 'E' still appears above a sticky enemy, there are actually 2 "get over here" settings. The one displayed in the video is the standard ability setting. The other is the auto lock on button for sticky enemies, so you can make a choice to zip to the stuck enemy or pull someone in without it auto-ing to the stick... I guess.
@@WebbsyPrecisely! Like you said there is two different Get Over Here’s, one for people who have a tracer (i.e the little web symbol above their head) and people who don’t. Essentially you change it to where each one has their own binding that way you can still pull in people even if they have a spider tracer on them. Otherwise by default they are both bound to E and you have to wait the 3 second timer for the tracer to wear off if you wish to pull them, which isn’t exactly ideal lol.

@@DJHeath-bc9ot I’ve gotchu, so you’re gonna see one for “Get Over Here Targeting” (This is the one where you pull into someone with a tracer on them) and if you scroll down a bit lower you’ll see the keybinds for like his m1 and m2 and eventually you’ll see “Get Over Here” (this is the one where you pull them towards you). This is the one you want to set to a separate binding. Hope this helps!
Point towards crosshair is actually much better for wall running imo. You have much better control of your character when the terrain gets cluttered with weird angles and things like that, especially if you're upside-down. I would honestly give it a try, my wall-run escapes have gotten much better because if it and i regularly spend time upside-down in some common flank routes, ready to snag an unsuspecting duelist

you can cancel the swing on the ground animation with web clusters, so you can swing to the enemy, web clusters (if hits, its great), primary, web clusters (cancel primary animation), uppercut
a great guide but why all spiderman players doesn't mention the small detail that is: u can animation cancel with his left click and right click, u can throw a ranged attack very fast after a melee, but u cannot do it the other way, it mean that if u are close in melee u definitely should abuse it and try to chip in the range attack after the melee.
animation cancels are more advanced things. There's a TON of animation cancels that spiderman can do and all of them are in my Advanced Spiderman Tech Guide on my channel!
I learned from watching Necros. He hasn't put out an advanced tutorial yet. First of all, automatic swing OFF. Jump -> ground zip -> shoot Web-Cluster as you land -> jump during the shot. You can't buffer the last jump. If you do it right, you won't flip and will carry a lot of momentum. Add an uppercut at the end and cover insane horizontal distance at a high speed.
There’s an easier way to than the other comment. Just by canceling your swing half way through and then timing your jumps to keep momentum. There’s more advanced methods that let you do it in tighter spaces but they’re more advanced.
@@zetten4109 It doesn't sound like you are talking about bunny hopping. There is also ground zip -> uppercut for speed, escaping, and a sudden attack. Btw, after the initial bunny hop, you can do a second bunny hop with shoot and jump if you time it right. You generally start losing momentum after the second one, so then you can tack on the uppercut for distance.
I didn’t include it in the video as I wasn’t sure if it was a bug but all you need to do is cancel your web zips with your web cluster (right click) and jump when you’re about to hit the ground 😁
Dude this is so helpful i really want to be a spider man main i while i did know these combos and easy swing off this is so helpful but one thing you missed is after you web zip you can use your web cluster and jump at the same time and you go a little farther and it cancels the animation

By default, the same button to pull yourself and to pull the target are on the same keybind. When a tracer is on the target, pulling yourself becomes the priority. By making a keybind specifically to pull the target to you, you no longer need to worry about the priority system
Let me try to explain it. I just switched it to something else right? And even tho I did the original button input still exists (even tho you think it wouldn’t). So you use the original button input to pull yourself to them, and the new one to pull them to you! Hope this helps!

HI! Just watched the video myself. Idk if you are still confused but I figured it out. It confused me too. In the settings If you scroll a bit upwards from spider mans "abilities" you'll see a section called "Get over here targeting" thats the you cluster them and pull yourself to them ability. In the ability section the "Get over here" ability is pulling them to you. They share the same input but when you web cluster them it stays the same input by default. Changing "Get over here" makes them have separate inputs even if they do become web clustered!@@EnmaEnthusiast

I keybound the Ability 1 "GET OVER HERE" to one of my mouse buttons. So I can pull them with the mouse button while still being able to pull myself with the E button if I hit a tracer on them.
I guess by beginners I meant beginner to the character not online games 😅 However CC refers to Crowd Control, which is any ability that physically stops your character from doing something like Luna’s freeze or Mantis’ Sleep. Magnito’s push back ability is also cc however that is soft cc as your character isn’t locked!
how do you cancel the flip into an uppercut when you use get over here? I can't seem to stop spidey from doing the backflip and the uppercut comes out slowly
You can still use the previous button to pull yourself to the enemy. The whole point of changing the keybind is to be able to have your enemy pull on a separate button to your self pull!
It’s difficult to swing on controller with easy swing off. Them long swings are too fun. When I turn east swing off I often just don’t reach the walls and just end up looking stupid.

I've played against Necros a few times before, he's an insane Spidey, I think the highest rated one rn but he plays at different times of the day so I rarely see him. We're the same rank though :D FFame plays on NA and doesn't put out any actual gameplay so I have no idea if he's just a training range andy or an actual good player I have no idea who wante is though sorry haha
I think they NEED to add a spidey and iron mans team up where spider gets the iron spider suit and tony gets extras damage or hp or something but instead of more health for spidey he should have a dif move set. And temporary flight or sum hover shit
Great video but how do you preserve momentum after you web the floor and he does the front flip? I've seen some pro players somehow cancel the frontflip with a jump and still go crazy superfast without doing the uppercut
Is there any way to separate the “get over here” binds on controller? Where one input pulls them in and another pulls you to them? Also curious if anyone has any good button layouts on controller for this specifically because I couldn’t really think of anything

Squishy means that the character is easy to kill. That could mean anything from a low healthpool like spiderman with 250 hp or no defensive abilities to allow the character to take less damage. In this game, most characters are squishy outside of the vanguards!
I’ve seen some great spideys on console! I haven’t ever played a game like this on console tho so I can’t give a recommendation. It seems harder but if they can I don’t see why you can’t too!

also i just tested it and it requires 4 web clusters + pull yourself in + uppercut. if i use just 3 web clusters i have to end with a mellee attack (250HP) targets.

Know where the health kits are. Don’t be that Spider-Man that spends 90% of the game respawning or on critical health. It’s not your supports responsibility to keep you up either unless you go to them which you shouldn’t.
If it didn't bother you... I'm having problem to do the We Zepping... I change to the way you oriented in the video, but instead of I got it. My Spider man just Anchors his web into a random build when I'm not locking up directly to the edge o want... could you help me ?

What was happening, is that when u go to the configurantions, and switch do Spidey, what happens sometimes is that it will give you the selection for not just spidy but for all heroes, making the configurations for the specific changes of Spidey do not save. And then to solve thos, you have to go again on All heroes and click again on Spidey to now have just one simble of configuration on the top, wich is Spidey, wihtout All heroes anymore. this solved my problem, and now i having a lot of fun and aplliying the combos on sups and flying characters lol, it's so funny and good fell to land it. Speciely on the flying characaters cuz it's difficult the second interaction of the combo
It refers to “crowd control” effects. This is any effect that hinders movement and/or vision. There’s a number of things like stuns, slows, grapples (on enemies) like spidey’s pull. Basically stuff that isn’t specifically for damage but has the ability to hurt an opponent via affecting their effectiveness to fight in battle directly.
Crowd Control, which is anything that stops you from being able to play your character like Mantis' Sleep, Luna's Freeze, Wanda's Bubble, Groot's Ultimate
For some reason Spidey doesn't pull himself towards the opponent even though I've attached a web to them beforehand anyone else experiencing this? Am I missing something?
In the video I mentioned that you can have two different keybinds, one that pulls yourself to the opponent and one that pulls the opponent to you. Maybe you’re mixing up these keybinds?
Wanna love Spidey but despite getting decent with him it's glaringly obvious that you have to put in waaaay more effort to get the same results that you could get on other characters. Just doesn't seem worth learning my boy when I know even if I get really good at him he's just gunna wind up getting banned once Hela and Hawkeye get the nerfbat applied to them. 😔😔
I feel your pain, there's quite a high skill floor to spiderman. Might aswell play Hela and two tap people haha. I don't think he's currently worth banning, even if Hela and Hawkeye are banned, although I will say people have started recognising my name and banning Spidey when I'm on the enemy team lmaooo

Doesn’t “fit his lore”. Spider-Man is extremely durable. He can take hits most marvel heroes can’t.

@@Arek_1 no, I’m talking about bunny hopping. You can do it off a web swing then bhop like normal quite easily. I do it to get from spawn to point

I'm confused on how changing the keybind of Get over here will allow you to pull them towards you if they already have a tracer on them? I can't figure it out. I've tried holding back while doing it (assumed thats why you changed it to x) but no luck. Someone please help!
I keybound the Ability 1 "GET OVER HERE" to one of my mouse buttons. So I can pull them with the mouse button while still being able to pull myself with the E button if I hit a tracer on them.

For a guide that is ostensibly also for beginners, it would be helpful to actually explain more about animation canceling and what "CC" means.
I guess by beginners I meant beginner to the character not online games 😅
However CC refers to Crowd Control, which is any ability that physically stops your character from doing something like Luna’s freeze or Mantis’ Sleep. Magnito’s push back ability is also cc however that is soft cc as your character isn’t locked!
how do you cancel the flip into an uppercut when you use get over here? I can't seem to stop spidey from doing the backflip and the uppercut comes out slowly
When you already changed the button get over here and it cant pull you to enemy anymore but later on you can still do it how?
You can still use the previous button to pull yourself to the enemy. The whole point of changing the keybind is to be able to have your enemy pull on a separate button to your self pull!

It’s difficult to swing on controller with easy swing off. Them long swings are too fun. When I turn east swing off I often just don’t reach the walls and just end up looking stupid.
Definitely takes some getting used to but once you do it opens up a whole new world of advanced techniques and possibilities!
@@Tephrite really. It feels nice to hit like 3 people with an uppercut then huge auto swing away. I’m always missing stuff to swing off of when I turn it on. Will I get better at that or is that the way it is?

I've played against Necros a few times before, he's an insane Spidey, I think the highest rated one rn but he plays at different times of the day so I rarely see him. We're the same rank though :D
FFame plays on NA and doesn't put out any actual gameplay so I have no idea if he's just a training range andy or an actual good player

I think they NEED to add a spidey and iron mans team up where spider gets the iron spider suit and tony gets extras damage or hp or something but instead of more health for spidey he should have a dif move set. And temporary flight or sum hover shit

Great video but how do you preserve momentum after you web the floor and he does the front flip? I've seen some pro players somehow cancel the frontflip with a jump and still go crazy superfast without doing the uppercut
you can animation cancel with your web tracers, shoot a tracer then bunny hop
Is there any way to separate the “get over here” binds on controller? Where one input pulls them in and another pulls you to them? Also curious if anyone has any good button layouts on controller for this specifically because I couldn’t really think of anything

I hear a lot of people use the term; "squishy" can someone explain?
Squishy means that the character is easy to kill. That could mean anything from a low healthpool like spiderman with 250 hp or no defensive abilities to allow the character to take less damage. In this game, most characters are squishy outside of the vanguards!

that button is still the same. You only changed the bind to pull the enemy towards yourself :D

How does changing a Key bind allow you to ignore the sticky effect?
you're setting 1 keybind to pull the target towards you and another keybind to pull yourself to the target so you have more flexibility!

I’ve seen some great spideys on console! I haven’t ever played a game like this on console tho so I can’t give a recommendation. It seems harder but if they can I don’t see why you can’t too!

I think i might just change all my controls for Spidey to the ones i use for the Spider-Man game on Ps4 so it feels familiar.

it's not clear how you choose between web strike and pulling ppl if they are traced with a shot
When swapping your pull keybind to x, e still remains as your self pull keybind. X to pull towards you and E to pull yourself towards them! Having it on a different bind enables this and adds flexibility!
also i just tested it and it requires 4 web clusters + pull yourself in + uppercut. if i use just 3 web clusters i have to end with a mellee attack (250HP) targets.
which character are you trying the combo on? I just double checked it now on a Spiderman bot who has 250 HP and the combo is still 3 web cluster

Know where the health kits are. Don’t be that Spider-Man that spends 90% of the game respawning or on critical health. It’s not your supports responsibility to keep you up either unless you go to them which you shouldn’t.
I turned off auto swing but the game still does auto swing, like the change never happened.

You need to have Automatic Swing Turned Off, which should be to the left side! If this isn’t working it might be a bug
You might have switch the bindings for controller, go to the keyboard tab rather. I did that myself so.
@@SpawnPirate Soooo i figure it out. What was happening, is that when u go to the configurantions, and switch do Spidey, what happens sometimes is that it will give you the selection for not just spidy but for all heroes, making the configurations for the specific changes of Spidey do not save. And then to solve thos, you have to go again on All heroes and click again on Spidey to now have just one simble of configuration on the top, wich is Spidey, wihtout All heroes anymore. this solved my problem, and now i having a lot of fun and aplliying the combos on sups and flying characters lol, it's so funny and good fell to land it. Speciely on the flying characaters cuz it's difficult the second interaction of the combo

What’s CC?
It refers to “crowd control” effects. This is any effect that hinders movement and/or vision. There’s a number of things like stuns, slows, grapples (on enemies) like spidey’s pull. Basically stuff that isn’t specifically for damage but has the ability to hurt an opponent via affecting their effectiveness to fight in battle directly.
Actually surprised there was no team up with iron man.
they mentioned that teamups will be changing as the game progresses so I wouldn't be surprised if we see it in upcoming seasons!

For some reason Spidey doesn't pull himself towards the opponent even though I've attached a web to them beforehand anyone else experiencing this? Am I missing something?
In the video I mentioned that you can have two different keybinds, one that pulls yourself to the opponent and one that pulls the opponent to you. Maybe you’re mixing up these keybinds?
Wanna love Spidey but despite getting decent with him it's glaringly obvious that you have to put in waaaay more effort to get the same results that you could get on other characters. Just doesn't seem worth learning my boy when I know even if I get really good at him he's just gunna wind up getting banned once Hela and Hawkeye get the nerfbat applied to them. 😔😔
I feel your pain, there's quite a high skill floor to spiderman. Might aswell play Hela and two tap people haha. I don't think he's currently worth banning, even if Hela and Hawkeye are banned, although I will say people have started recognising my name and banning Spidey when I'm on the enemy team lmaooo

the difference between them imo is you can out damage Wanda, but not Namor. You can also cancel Wanda's ult super easily!
