I don’t generally recycle my shower water for drinking but you can in a survival situation by using a practice of keeping your shower water separate from your drinking water and using a biodegradable soap. Then if you have to use your shower water for drinking you simply run it through the filter a couple of times to sanitize the water and make it safe for drinking.
I purchased my tank from Plastic-mart. They have many different sizes to choose from and they will customize the location of the inlet, outlet, and vent location for you (and size of fittings) or you can accept the standard locations.
