To anyone confused by the concept in 1:16:00 Assume there exists an equation k a(bar) + m b(bar) =0 think of it as a machine which shows that the vectors substituted in it are parallel if they give the output zero To satisfy this equation there are three possible cases Case1 both the vectors are null vectors ( vectors are not non-zero) Case2 i.e. a||b:- when the vectors a and b are applied in the equation the output received is zero which tells us that a and b are parallel Case3:- when applied the equation isn't giving the output zero.
