I'm not sure but I think this is Paul Robeson. A New Afrikan (or "African-American" as the US colonizers call them) communist, who used to be very famous until he became a communist, and then the US system cancelled him and destroyed his career, with the FBI and CIA constantly harassing him, which led to him developing serious paranoia and depression. He tried to get treatment in the socialist countries but he eventually died of a stroke (possibly from his mental health problems). His story is a sad one; yet one more of the many crimes and abuses of the capitalists against our comrades and class. But while he was alive and healthy he recorded many songs about the struggle. He was very talented and sang in many languages. I know he sings "Song of the Plains" ("Полюшко-поле") in both English and Russian, where even though the accent is very noticeable he still does a very good attempt at singing in Russian. He also sang the song "Zog nit keyn mol" (a song of the Warsaw Ghetto and Holocaust survivors) in both English and Yiddish.

Duuuude. Its a song of polish socialists writen in 1880's, sung on many occasions later became hymn of polish workers protests durring 1905 revolution. PPS - Polish Socialist Party that emerged from those working class movements in 1892, existed in conspiration in partitioned Poland, and after regaining independence on 11 November 1918 became a base of first independent polish government. In 1920, when polish-bolshevik war started, PPS actively opposed the invader, using its structures on bolshevik ocupied lands to carry out diversion and collect inteligence. Its members formed voluntary workers regiment that took part in defence of Warsaw. PPS was major opossition after 1926 coup. Not before WW2 PPS split to PPS and pro-bolshevik RPPS, but still PPS supported polish governement in exile and took active role in forming underground state. PPS members made aprox. 10% of AK and AL fighters. In 1944 communist RPPS formed sth they called "Reborn PPS" and members of original pre-war PPS got the choice - reconcile, emigrate or be arrested. In 1948 pro-communist PPS (RPPS) was united with communist PPR, forming PZPR - rulling party of communist regime for next 40 years and PPS existed only on emigration. In 1987 PPS reactivated itself in Poland and communists tried to intervene and supress this move on the same day. Looks like PPS was pain in the ass of commies from the begining. So as you see, it doesn't have much to do with bolshevik puppets that ruled Poland from 1944-1989 or any other organisation backed up by komintern/kominform and ilustrating this song with hammer and sicle in kinda insulting.
