    hey bro, at 4:41 how did you made the jaeger soloist sing above the allowed range?

    • @existentialquantifier
      @existentialquantifier  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Basic DAW tricks: I transposed the phrase down, recorded it into a wave sample and then tuned it up. I don't remember the details, but it involved FL Studio's Newtone plugin.
      Yeah, it was a pain in the butt, but my perfectionism made me do it. On the other hand, now I know how to do it 😏

      I used Jaeger's Merethe Soltvedt vocals, but I had to tune it up in pitch, because it didn't have such high notes

      Jaeger library has a solo vocals patch by Merethe Soltvedt herself. She's the singer of this track as well as many other tracks by Thomas Bergersen

    What's your synth arps?

    • @viacheslavsipakov1623
      @viacheslavsipakov1623 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are 2 synth arps in this track, I recreated both of them in Serum. They are represented as ghost notes in the video. By the way, there are stems for the track on Extreme Music website, where you can listen to orchestra, vocals, choir and synth with guitars separately. I did that to understand what's going on in the background

      @@loot6 In the end he always records a real orchestra. He told it in his interview. Besides I doubt that a midi mockup could sound like that, it's too live and soft

    • @loot6
      @loot6 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@viacheslavsipakov1623Lol you obviously know very little about him, he's the most famous in the world for his incredibly realistic midi mockups! He uses his own custom samples mainly.
      I've known about him for more than 15 years and even spoke to him directly. He has had some of his stuff performed by a real orchestra but normally he says the opposite "there's no way a real orchestra could perform this so I leave it to my samples". Check out him talking about his track 'that's a wrap' for example.

    • @loot6
      @loot6 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@viacheslavsipakov1623 He also used to do all kinds of demos for sample libraries which obviously had to be mockups. He was doing stuff with samples 15-20 years ago that sounds better than anyone else could do now even.
      Check out 'Soaring over Hollywood" and "An Awfully Big Adventure". The first was made with EWQL samples and the second was to demo the samplemodelling trumpet. They were both made about 10 years ago and sounds insanely realistic. Also 'Evolutionary Progress' made for VSL using their oboe and his custom samples.
      Check them out...all 100% midi mockups. If he could do that so long ago, imagine what he can do now...
