Everyone can rest easy, Timber has made a full recovery! It's too bad we had to cut this one short, we cut out right before the good stuff! It just means that a redemption trip is in order! Thank you again for everything that you did for Timber and I! I had a really great time hiking with you and I really hope we get to do it again!
Great effort guys!...so glad Timber is doing well...My red heeler Ding can't do the longer treks anymore...rear hip problems, so these days I shut him down at about 6 miles...just not the same bagging peaks without ol Ding along...I greatly enjoyed watching you and Travis hiking together...hope to see more!...MTwoods
Thanks Woods! It was a lot of fun (except the hiking, like Travis said). 🤣 Did I ever mention that Shasta and Bubba were the names of two of my best canine companions in the wilderness? So sad when they can't join anymore.
Glad to hear that Timber has recovered (I suppose the same goes for Dan and Travis 😉). I enjoyed the collaboration and looking forward to Travis' video, too.
The spotted Louie trail is a tough one to follow. 55 if i remember correctly. Theres an unmarked trail in the Montana creek drainage that is roughly a mile long and pretty vertical. And gets to a 4x4 accessible road, use it to access and fish below the Oxbow on the LNf. Glad you guys got out ok, since you’ve seen the snow peak to trappers portion, you should drop into Foehl creek off buzzards and head up larkins crk to continue the journey where you left off. Best to do a through hike in that scenario leaving a shuttle vehicle at table or smith ridge. Thanks for the video!
They flew in a compressor and a couple workers to repair some communications equipment that is placed next to the LO tower. It was damaged over the winter, the pilot told us.
Enjoyed seeing the two of you together! Disappointing that y'all had to split up and cut the trip short but it was for all the right reasons. I'm as big a fan of Timber as I am MW, but don't tell Travis I said that. Nice scenery from the lookout towers and hope to see you two together soon. Maybe packrafting if Travis is willing😉

Redemption Trip!!!! Absolutely up for that my friend! Happy for Timber's recovery (and yours and mine too).
So happy Timber is better.
Absolutely! He was a trooper, but had us both really worried for a while.
Never a fail when you're helping out your best friend....Glad to hear Timber is feeling better.
Tom
You and me both!
Nice trip. Always love the videos where my favorite channels converge. Looks like a gorgeous area, but one where you really have to earn the views.
Thanks and you're certainly right about working for the views! We'll be trying this trip again, I'm sure.

@@ShastaBubba No I didn't know that...but a fine tribute to Shasta and Bubba...I once had a four legged friend named Shasta and think of her often.

Thanks a bunch and me too!

Thanks for the video!
Thanks for the great advice! Pretty sure we'll be back to try again and get to the really good parts.
Glad to see Timber doing better. His breed may have issues with carrying a pack.
He's a trooper, for sure. Thanks!
Cool video. I wonder what the helicopter was doing up there?

That would be fun. I'll see what I can do!
@@ShastaBubba I'll work on him from my "end." 😉
