The green cable sweater is looking so good. Just the garment for the chilly days ahead. Your Dad's sweater is looking great. Love the colour. Rest and have a successful week. 🇬🇧

Thank you so much, Elaine!! I am so thrilled to be making so much progress on the green cables. Hopefully my dad's sweater gets finished quickly too because it's getting so cold in Vermont!! I am resting and staying in a bit more this week. It feels great. I hope you have a great week too!

Your green cables sweater is so beautiful! Cables are luxurious and the yarn you chose is the perfect yarn for cables. Well done! Have a good week!

Truly this is the greatest cable yarn I have ever worked with! They just sit so perfectly in the fabric. Thank you so much!!

Who knew you can talk even faster than usual!😂 I love your style Emma. You inspire me always! I love the marling you are getting from Felici and hand dyed. I have lots of Felici in my stash, I’m going to try that…❤❤

I know! Thank you so much - I hope you LOVE working with the Felici held double. I am so addicted! It's so refreshing to knit socks so quickly and to have them look so cute!

Shetland all the way! So lofty and bouncy. Plus you get all the gorgeous natural colors and it's not bad to knit with either.

Thank you so, so much! They are actually quite simple but they look so lovely - I fully credit Brooklyn Tweed.

    Those cables 😮
Love the spin too! I'm not yet spun Romney, however current fave is BFL.

Fave fibers to spin are Corriedale and BFL. Anxious to try more breeds!

I bought the minis, but I was not very experienced and should have gotten the smaller set. My most used sizes are 2 and 3, so the minis are sort of useless. I don't ever knit socks, but live in a fingering climate so almost every project is fine gauge. I ended up getting fixed Chiagoo 32" in 2 and 3 instead.

Ah - annoying! I love the blue minis but I really don't like the red ones because the cables are for some reason incredibly flimsy. But my friend Monica feels the opposite way - she prefers them that way!

Those cables are lovely, squishy! Gorgeous sweater (to be…!)
Joji’s S.S.S. sweater … love it, but I’m worried about circular yoke increasing. Raglans fit my wider shoulders, and looking (not actually making…) at circular yokes…seem like they wouldn’t fit comfortably…. I know, I know…how would I find out if I don’t try…
Of course, i “could” get Soana, or another worsted wt yarn and try… I need more yarn like a hole in the head!!
I’m very interested in making a top down, V-neck, in the round w steeks. Or even the Vanilla. I’m not sure how many bridge sts, and would those bridge sts be seed st? All purl sts? Looks like yours is 2 P, 5 K, 2 P, then cut up the center of those 5 ??? Are the V increases one or two sts from the st st edge… meaning when you pick up for button band I’m assuming at least one st away from any increases. ??? I haven’t found much (TH-cam) converting pullover into cardigan. Maybe I’ll try another day of re-searching …
Rather knit than purl, faster anyway !
For my v-neck, to shorten the V, I could easily increase every 3rd row (if cardi knit flat = increasing on a Purl row…do-able yes, but …)
Thanks! You’ve given my brain a workout!

Great questions. For my steek bridge, I knit 1 purl stitch, 5 steek stitches, and then 1 purl stitch. I increase at the very edge, but I pick up stitches one INfrom the edge, if that makes sense? I will try to finish the cardigan this weekend and discuss how I designed it (including the steek) next time on the channel.

Thank you! I would appreciate any tips you have! I don’t “really” mind purling on a cardigan, especially if it’s in worsted weight. But with fingering…ugh! And I don’t mind a pullover, however, I realllly like a cardigan…fussy me …lol

I just discovered you and I’m catching up with your podcast. Your knitting is amazing. You mentioned that you knit in an unusual and ergonomic way that has to do with some Ukrainian traditions in your family. I wonder if you would demonstrate the way you knit on one of your podcasts, for those of us who have issues and would really appreciate a more ergonomic solution 🙏

Sure! That's a great request. I can definitely show a video of myself knitting sometimes. Thank you so much - yes, I knit Eastern Style, which means through the back loops instead of the front.

Your hoodie is looking 👌 Can’t wait to see the hood go on. Would highly recommend a cheap hydration vest for running. It makes carrying stuff so easy that I use it even on short runs. I run with my dogs so end up taking water, treats, poo bags for them, but it is great for having your phone easily accessible and being able to tuck away bits of clothing when you get too warm, or having a jacket if it starts raining. I sometimes use it to get one or two things from the shops while I am out too. 🌤🌧💨🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

That is SUCH a good piece of advice, Janice! I am going to get one! Especially because sometimes my long slow runs now take more than an hour and I really need to be able to carry water and energy gels. Thank you so much!
