    I can’t wait to fish mine this weekend. I was very surprised at the tip recovery when I held it at Big T’s. Thanks for the video!

    Good honest review on a new hot rod. It’s hard to find unbiased rod reviews, so thank you guys.

      I love it man, me and ben are not sponsored to fish these or Thomas and Thomas we just buy new stuff so when we do talk about these rods it’s definitely all real and honest!

    Thanks for the review, guys. BTW, the stream you were fishing is absolutely gorgeous. Do you feel comfortable identifying it?

    Great footage guys. I LOVE the review and can't wait to get one of those Diamondback Ideal Nymph rods. Every time I watch videos like this where you're catching and releasing fish I always think that more fishermen should check out the O'Pros rod holder as it makes it SOOO much easier to stow your stick when you're dealing with your net and trying to release a fish ESPECIALLY if you're filming in the process. Just a thought but Tight Lines regardless and much thanks for the beautiful footage.

      I’ve thought about getting one before but 80% of the time were in water deeper than what they are on a wading belt, we’ve got so use to putting the rod between our legs or under our arm, compared to most people the fish we catch are handled and released faster, I’d say on average from the time we touch a fish to un hook it it’s back in the water in 5-6 seconds or less, that’s one reason I like having a big net it’s deep enough to keep the fish in the water at all times when I’m not picking it up for a picture or video

      I got you on your reasoning there much thanks for the reply and again you guys have some GREAT content. I have always had an issue juggling with my net while trying to release a trout in the smaller PA waters I fish and that O'Pros rod holder has been a game changer for me. I always try to use my Ketchum Release tool when possible and the O'Pros holder is Def helpful there. Keep up your great work guys you have a delightful channel that I watch all the time Tight Lines to all 😀

    Great looking rod. A bit too rich for my budget, but sweet! I'm thinking of fishing Blairsville or Helen either tomorrow or next week. Any suggestions?

    I'm hoping they will have blanks available for custom builds as I would LOVE to put a CFX Carbon handle and a skeleton reel seat with a matching small Carbon fighting butt on one of those 10' 1 weight Diamondback Ideal Nymph rods.

    Awesome video. Could the 1wt land a 18-20 Brown trout on a slower river? Thanks, Kevin

    Seen these rods everywhere on social media! Nice reviews ! What made y’all pick the 1 weight over the 2 and 3 weights?? How do y’all wade in that fast tailwater like that? Looks crazy lol

      I’m very impressed with them, and well a 10’ 1wt with a fast recovery as well as a good backbone it was one of those I gotta have it things haha

      It’s an older Ross’s evolution lt2 in a limited run of purple reels they made, I fish a Ross evolution ltx 3/4wt on it and my contact ll rods too, they both do good on them!

    How do these rods compare to the T&T Contact II's?

      They aren’t as sensitive in my opinion everything about the Diamondback is perfect except it lacks in sensitivity, I can feel more with the contact ll

    Is the T&T a much better rod considering the price?

    • @creekninjasfishing
      @creekninjasfishing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The Thomas and Thomas is a much better rod. I actually ended up selling this Diamondback, I love everything about the Diamondback except it lacks in sensitivity, the Thomas and Thomas is a lot more sensitive so I went back to it

      @@creekninjasfishing Which contact 2 has the most flex of their 2 wts. Probably the 10’9” I suppose. Wanting the contact 2 10’ 2 wt but curious about it not having enough flex for light tippet. Any info I’d appreciate,if ya could!!!!

    • @creekninjasfishing
      @creekninjasfishing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@wvlongshooter3912 so I’ve not actually been able to fish the 10’9 2wt Thomas and Thomas. I would imagine it has more flex than the 10’ 2wt, but I fish 8x tippet on a regular basis on most of our wild trout water and have also landed fish over 20” with my 10’ 2wt on 8x tippet. I primarily use 7-8x almost all situations except big fish on private water, the 10’ 2wt has plenty of flex to protect tippet, you do have to adjust your hookset with it being a fast action rod but it actually helps drive a better hookset, softer rods sometimes lack in driving a hook into a fish especially a heavier gauge hook. So I’ve actually really come to love the faster action of the Thomas and Thomas. It gets better hooksets yet has the flex once hooked up to a larger fish to protect the tippet, yet have control over that fish!

      @@creekninjasfishing thanks for the info. I fish the Sage esn hd 2 wt and 7-8 x and the t and t contact 2 10’ 3 wt and normally use 5-6x depending on situations. I just ordered the Diamond back 10’ 1 wt. I’m hoping it handles 7-8 x tippet well. Thanks for replying!!!!!

      @@wvlongshooter3912 I own the contact II 10 ft 2wt...I have caught over thirty 20 to 22 inch bows and browns on it down to 7X tippet...it does everything I want. I would love to try the diamondback 10ft 1wt to see how it compares.
