The Royal Rumble has always been one of the most insane matches in wrestling history but throw in some sports legends outside of wrestling into the mix and we’ve got something exciting to bear witness. Imagine the most iconic athletes in all of sports history, even a noteworthy referee, and stack them together inside the squared circle for an opportunity of a lifetime. We are not talking trophies or billions of dollars, but one of these competitors will have an opportunity to enter the ‘Stanley Cup Finals’ of Ricky J. rumbles so to speak (Given Ricky J. is a big hockey fan). It would all come down to a very close match between two very different, yet iconic sports stars aiming to make the biggest impact of the season. And in only two short eliminations, it would all end with one star standing as a cut above the rest:
Randy Moss, who for fourteen seasons has been widely regarded as one of the greatest wide receivers of all time. At an all-time level, Moss ranked second in career touchdown receptions as well as fourth in career receiving yards (Even leading the league five times in touchdown receptions). From a man who’s gone from playing college football for the Marshall Thundering Herd, to the trades with teams like the New England Patriots, this was a man born to leave a mark in football history. Although he’d lose two Super Bowl games, his accomplishments would have him inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, as a well as a member of the NFL 2000s All-Decade Team and 100th Anniversary All-Time Team. Although he spent the remainder of his time as a studio analyst on ESPN, Moss’s performance proves he is one of the toughest men to ever set foot in the field.
But who was my MVP of this random sports rumble? Let’s get down to the numbers:
Of the thirty men featured in this match, FIFTEEN competitors secured the most eliminations (Making up half the roster). The highest count of the day reached up to ‘7’ eliminations, which is six points higher than the average ‘1’ elimination.
I give the Golden MVP Award for ‘coolest’ performance to:
Wayne Gretzky
Not only was this one of Ricky J.’s personal best performances of the series, but there was a moment that I thought Gretzky was going to win this rumble. Piling away more bodies than ‘The Goon’ in his WWF days, without having to enter the penalty box, this fight reminded us of why he’s one of the best hockey stars in history. Although one mistake would cost him an important spot in the finals, at least we can say he wasn’t ‘Mossed’ during this rumble.
The Dull Participation Medal for the ‘lamest’ performance goes to:
Bo Jackson
Athletes like Jackson have their bad days when it comes to sports, whether during his baseball period or his run as a football star. At least his elimination was not as bad as a hip injury that ended half of his sports career. If there’s a worse case scenario for Bo Jackson, he could end up going back to small roles in television shows just to make another couple bucks (Not exactly appealing for one of the greatest athletes in history).
Football reigns supreme in sports history as Randy Moss prepares to leave the finalists of the Ricky J. championship rumble ‘Mossed’. But in the meantime, we ask a couple questions: Can another football star feel inspired to compete due to Moss’s performance? Are there any particular sports athletes some feels as though they have been overlooked? Can we expect some iconic faces in other media, like television or movies? And the biggest question of them all:

Hard to believe I mostly made a majority of these. For Basketball, I made Charles Barkley and Patrick Ewing. For Baseball, I made Ken Griffey Jr., Cal Ripken Jr and Frank Thomas. For Football, I made Joe Montana, Lawrence Taylor and Bo Jackson. For Hockey, I made Wayne Gretzky (which you were playing as). For Boxing, I made George Foreman. And for NASCAR, I made Dale Earnhardt Sr. Yep, that's all true. So glad I wanted to see this Rumble happen.

RUMBLE IDEA:
An entire Sports Rumble Season. All-time greats from certain teams of NBA, NFL, MLB, & NHL. Example- One match would be NHL (Blackhawks) versus NFL (Dallas Cowboys). Each team can send the MVP of the rumble to be the representative in the final rumble. Or it can be broken into divisions and have an actual playoff system.

Here's a Gretzky story I once heard so Gretzky, Jordan and other celebs were playing blackjack in Vegas and Jordan just won like a big big hand and he tipped the dealer like a $5 chip so then Gretzky reached across the table and grabbed one of Jordans $100 chips and gave it to the dealer then he said This is how we tip in Las Vegas Michael ! Wayne Gretzky the true great one!
I would love to see a rumble with the wrestlers from Pro Wrestling from the NES. I know there's only 7 total but I think that would be an awesome rumble integrated with actual wrestlers.
Randy Moss' victory was a shocker to me at first, too, Ricky. Then I read this from his bio:

Quite the list of accomplishments there. So it's great that these skills were on display in this match, especially during the finale against Larry Bird.

JD: Or *maybe* it's because in his case, the word "Pump" means somethin' sexual? I mean, given his attitude with the girls, it would make sense...
*The other Judgementers make comments like "Gross, JD/I didn't need to know that/Why'd you put that image in my head?" Then, R-Truth shows up out of nowhere*

*Cut to outside the locker room, where R-Truth and The Miz are waiting, wearing gas masks. A few seconds later, a deafening fart can be heard from behind the door, and an explosive force blows the door off its hinges, releasing a cloud of noxious green gas. The Judgement Day then come staggering out of the locker room, coughing, gagging, and waving blindly at the air and/or clutching their noses, eyes streaming. R-Truth turns to Miz and nods smugly*

Did a lot better this time. A word of advice regarding elimination attempts: i find it's better to go with punches. They're less likely to miss, even though you need 3 of them, but even if you're countered, you'll recover just before they do, so it's easier to maintain control.

Should do a season with all sports but do individual rumbles with 1 sport at a time and then the championship rumble decides who's the toughest out of all the sports

Or i am super surprised by this you have not done a Good vs Evil Rumble, you never from (what i recall) in all your Rumbles have at least Jesus, Satan and God the rest you can put people that did real good in the world like Martin Luther King? and also people who done very bad things like Adolf and Stalin (if you are allowed) i think it would be fun.

Congrats to Randy Moss on winning. You playing as Wayne Gretzky are the MVP. And Brady may be the GOAT of the NFL, but here, he was nothing but a loser and chump. And after seeing this, an actual MVP Rumble would be great. And by that I mean athletes who have won at least 1 league MVP in their career.

Overdone lasted the longest in this match. Iverson had the most eliminations in this Rumble he made it easy for Moss to win because he did majority of the work. That’s how the Rumble goes smart wait for your opportunity and bang.

@rickyj and @mortal Monk: Boxing picks for the week: I am going to go crazy and say that Gvozdyk Upset Benavidez. I think David doesn't respect him, plus Gvozdyk is the natural bigger man and former Light Weight Champion of the world. The big drawl back being he hasn't fought in 4 years, but David is a pressure fighter and if your going to come after the bigger man Gvozdyk with bigger punching power and being that he was a sleek counter puncher, I believe he make it dangrouse for David. I have him winning in an upset, and a really good chance by KO.

You shouldn't be concerned or underwhelmed by Auston Matthews. Only one team wins the Stanley Cup per year, so the chances are never on your side. Just enjoy the ride of watching one of the very best player in the league play. A sure first ballot Hall of Famer. I bet you'll enjoy it more that way.
About the rumble, the game should let you enter the correct heights and weights and being shown realistically. I mean Larry Bird was probably as big og bigger than Shaq. It's just a small annoyance. Otherwise AI was the star of this rumble.

I don't personally like Tank Davis personally nor do I think he is anything special, however sadly I don't know much about Martin and don't get to watch more than one fight this week of his. I just ran out of time. I like the fight to go the distance and I believe Tank will win a close decision by no more than 3 points. I believe Martain is soundly skilled uses his jab, and that makes life a bitch for anyone, as that is the core foundation of being a good boxer. Jab sets up the punches
