I had tennis elbow for almost a year, tried the various exercises, finally landed on Mike Carroll's Fit4Golf and did his strengthening exercises using two golf clubs - hold 90 degrees to the left (for right arm) for 30 secs, then two mins rest x4- every day, it works a dream. Sounds v similar to what you're advising. Good stuff!

I got tennis elbow 2nd time. The theraband flex bar is key. I strengthened it using the heavy flex bar. I later took it and tested my situation by using max force. Yes I reinjured it. Got the medium flex and it helped restrenthen it. Stretch and message as well.

The flex bar is an awesome tool!

After a single workout 7 months ago, I now suffer from golfers and tennis elbow in both arms. I've not been able to identify any repetitive motion leading up to that point. I've been doing the wrist curls and hammer exercise, but it's not gotten better. I'm only curling 5l bs as 10 lb hurt after. Should I be doing much more weight? 57 yr female

I have had Golfers Elbow for over 6 months from Tennis. I took the last 4 months off due to a hip injury and did physical therapy for both my hip and elbow. I went back to tennis today for the first time and the elbow is still hurting during play. I'm set up to try dry needling next week. Any other suggestions. You did mention Shockwaves in your video.

Shockwave therapy does have some early research for resistant cases. It’s also good to know that we have research showing that these issues can take quite awhile to fully resolve (up to a year).
My book does have comprehensive rehab programs for both of these conditions. The programs guide you through three phases of rehab and have pictures of me doing the exercises. Here is an Amazon link, if you want to learn more about my book.

can i use your book as a pt or is it just for public?

I wrote it specifically for two groups: 1. Movement and medical practitioners who would like an evidence-based therapeutic exercise resource and 2. The general public. It has almost 500 research citations, so I think you would find the book to be helpful as a PT.

Thanks Tom and Kirsten! I've never had this condition . I do rotate my arms when I'm exercising with dumbbells. I rub castor oil on my arms every night.
Did your daughter let you win the match?😊❤❤

Glad to hear you haven’t had these issues before! Both of my girls are getting so good at tennis and I know they will be beating me easily soon!

The tennis elbow program in my book would be a good option. It guides you through three phases of rehab and has pictures of me doing all of the exercises. Here is a link for the book, if you want to check it out.
