We have one exactly the same on an 07 plate. 1.2 same engine. It has only 47K miles but the power steering pump has failed and we are having a nightmare time trying to source another. Discontinued part and struggling to find a decent secondhand part to the point, we are going to have to scrap the car when it comes to MOT time. Fingers crossed, you don’t have the same issue otherwise a good car.
@ been round so many places. The PAS is a common issue but it’s also the lines themselves which have ruptured on ours due to corrosion. Four local garages plus Skoda themselves have told us it cannot be fixed .. not even at a high cost 😳
This was my first car but it had 1.4 MPI engine. I drove it for 3 years until it broke down. I thought its gonna be hard for me to get rid of it but since i got a new car i rarely think about it.
@@andycook4164 used to have a 120L5, that was a fun car, the Fabia is there to serve a purpose Had a few other models as well Octavia/Felicia/Favorit/Estelle and Rapid
Lovely little car Phil, never owned a Skoda but I had a Polo roughly the same year so the same car really. Skoda are VW and have been for years, I remember when they were their own brand and really Shite ! The smaller engine cars didn’t always come with engine covers from new, people used to complain about this when I was at VW. Looks pretty good, would look so much batter with a set of Minilites 😂
Another good vid, I have never driven a Skoda, the only things German I have driven is crap battered old van and an overrated BMW which was a pile of crap
Never driven 1 but a Ex Brother in Law who @ the time was my sisters Boyfriend he had 1 of the old style Skodas Or as we called it a Skip on Wheels 😂 wasn't too bad road wise but certainly was an ugly looking car & it was hilarious as he was 6ft 5 in this tiny car 🤣

@@alfiewoodcock7429 can you not find it from a part number? It's basically a golf/polo or whatever, should share parts somewhere down the line

@alfiewoodcock7429 ohhhhh dear
I have an independent specialist here and they can usually solve most issues
Love my mk1 fabia vrs ❤❤
@@Ciorbagaminginternational is it modified, or standard?
@ standard with only 35k miles
@Ciorbagaminginternational nice best way, sometimes standard it better than modified
@@itsmephil2255 yes 100%
@Ciorbagaminginternational too many get modified unfortunately, it's like my Audi, that's staying standard

@@thecheapshot hahaha usually I would grab some alloys, but it's not that kind of car
Iv had rear engine Skoda's before, never had issues
@ you are one of life’s lucky ones Phil ❤️
but to be fair most of the time things go wrong is due to lack of maintenance really.
@thecheapshot I know what you mean, they had a bad reputation in the UK, but wasn't deserved
@ I knew a girl in the 80’s who Dad had one and he loved it !
@thecheapshot i used to enjoy driving mine, total old skool
