The natural way to remove phosphate and nitrate is to add macroalgae into the tank it will soak up these nutrients. They will compete with nuisance alage
Hi. I’m new to this but I just wonder how do you get red slime in such a perfect and pristine tank? What is the cause? I can understand it, with a newbie tank but in such an established tank? Did you make any changes recently to make the red slime? Thank you. Love your channel
It is perfect and pristine because of high maintenance😅 Red slime comes and goes. I also have maybe a touch too many fish inside which does not help as well😁
I appreciate you sharing your setup and journey. Are you still running a co2 scrubber? If so which reactor and media? You seem to approach things from a budget friendly perspective. Thank you in advance, and keep the videos coming. They are fun to watch.
Hi Scott! Thanks for the kind feedback. It is the IceCap co2 scrubber with the BRS co2 media. I usually add 50ml rodi water per week into the media directly, as it drastically extends the life cycle of the media.✨🪸🐠✨
@@swissfragreefer I have just used it I always get it after adding frags so I use a antibacterial coral dip revive and only buy frags every 6 months and the po4 and no3 adatives make it worse hope this is helpful I get the blue green cyano i use same guy for frags his tanks must have it

Thanks for the tips, can you tell me the blue / white ratio you run on your redsea leds.
Hi Aslam! 80%blue/90%white. I have some more information around the tank in the video description.👍🪸🐠✨

@@swissfragreefer Thank you
very welcome! The good thing is most of the time the red slime is not bothering any corals or fish, it is just visually not attractive.
Superb Video, Thanks.
Thanks Bill! I am glad you liked it. Thanks for your support✨🪸🐠
Do you need to do a water change after using the red slime remover? If so, what %? Thanks!
