I put town Diatomaceous Earth around anything from the camper that touches the ground - wheels, stabilizers, jacks, and importantly the water hose and power cable. I forgot those last two on the first night at Hamilton Branch and a few started to climb up. These are small little ants, not the typical fire ants that bite and hurt so bad. They are an issue at all of the parks along the Savannah River chain of lakes. The nice thing about DE is that it's safe for humans, pets, and mother nature. But, it cuts the ants exoskeleton, so walking through it is like walking across broken shards of glass.
