I use the touch sensitivity settings so I don't wreck the sensitivity strips that regulate the pressure of the notes by the keys. I had an experience once where another guy who was playing piano on a regular basis played my Psr 3000 at that time and wrecked the touch sensitivity stip beneath the keys and it cost me a fortune to fix it. So I might suggest to all you guys out there it isn't necessary to press very hard to get what you want out of the keyboard and make it easier on the system by changing touch sensitivity. Just saying. Underneath the keys are sections of these silicone sensitivity strips. Save yourself a huge bill as too much pressure on your keyboard can cut through these strips quite easily. You can tell if you have damaged the keyboard if you get a loud key even when pressed softly.
David, thank you for doing this. When I've gone on you tube to get help, I end up with musicians that make me motion sick with the lack of being able to hold a camera steady, or they're speaking in a bizarre foreign language, or they talk too fast and move even faster so it's hard to comprehend what they're doing. They all need to take lessons from you.
Hi David, really enjoy listening to you and learning from your tips. I live in New Zealand and recently brought a Genos, sadly it was not practicable to buy my Genos from your Company. That said do you sell a usb loaded with Genos styles and voices for popular songs? If so how do l go about get said usb?
hi there, it will be, however, the last Livestream we did with Chris, will be much more useful and specific to you as it was done on an SX700! Check it out here - th-cam.com/video/XUGmOBsMWtc/w-d-xo.html - Max, ePianos
I am over 64 and I play by ear. I bought a Genos and so far I am so disappointed to think that there is not much in there that I am familiar with when it comes to styles. So sad all that money and not even good sound on many things some parts are so low you would constantly have to save every part every adjustment before you play anything because it's just what they say a workstation you can't really sit and play randomly. I jumped from Tyros 3 to Genos. After I loaded the new firmware the constant humming from 1 or 2 or 2 or 3 stopped but still not impressed.
Always very interesting and helpful....Thank you David.
I look forward to the next episode!
Brilliant. Many thanks.
