25:21 What a great task you’ve undertaken and even completed. It’s amazing what a single music loving coder guy can do and has done - and the whole Yamaha Corp hasn’t been able to do. Kudos to you from a music lover from Finland! 🇫🇮
Congratulations on your magnificent work and making the Yamaha keyboard available to all users.... Everyone here in Brazil was very happy!!! you deserve to be hired as an URGENT PROGRAMMER by OFFICIAL YAMAHA!!!
At Last .... Navigating The Style Rabbit Hole . I spent a couple of hours with this and my SX900 . It is well layed out and direct load to keyboard is wonderful. Well done !
You had the right idea, and created this very helpful tool. I sucessfully tested the direct download to my Genos 2, and it worked at once very well! A great feature! Thank you very much, for this great tool. Well done!👋👋👋 I hope you get enough time, to develop such a set of wonderful tools, you are planing for the future. The most difficult of your future plans, will be the Web based style creator. This would be a revolutionary way to improve style creating for Yamaha arranger workstations.
This is interesting. One of the great things about Yamaha keyboards is the community, it has always been strong, with the making and sharing of resources as part of that. So it's great to see this continuing with your work and I wish you much luck and the minimum of frustration. 🙃 If I can I will contribute where I can, though my collection is older and focuses on the SFF1 format used by my S900. I look forward to investigating transferring style files directly to my keyboard, sounds great. Great thinking, nice work
Thank you! S900 is fully supported on the site, so feel free to upload or download any styles that work on it. The site is now accurately auto detecting which styles will work on each keyboard model, so you can filter for S900 styles and see what we got for you. Direct transfers might not work though, I need someone with the older keyboard to help me debug the issue (there is a forum thread about it).
@@styleplayer_io Yeah, I tried it. It didn't work for me, I got a MidiCommandHandler timed out message. However it looks like it's going to be a very popular utility.
Congratulations! What you created is awsome!for With your software you have dpne so much for Yamaha Arranger user, you should be awarded with some gold medail! All ypu made is so well thought, it is as good, as if a big team of experts mde this for Yamaha. Your project is the best i have seen for years, and what you already achieved is phantastic. Im keen to see what you make in future. 👍👍👍👍👍
Great! Big like for the effort and the best of luck in future. I really hope it will become a successful project and all musicians who play arranger keyboards will know, use and appreciate this project! 👏👏👏
WOW!!! I sincerely hope Yamaha inc. comes to your aid in some fashion, i.e. monetary, tech, promotion, etc. This is a labor of love and dedication. It's kinda incredible you've done this without outside support. I would absolutely pay for something like this, but making it free (at least for now) is nothing short of fantastic. I was wondering how you extrapolated the style compatibility info? Was it from digging into each instruments' OS algorithms, or a painful one by one listening? Thank you for your dedication, hard work, and extreme generosity. 6 stars for you!👏👏
Haha, thank you so much! If you like what we are doing all I ask is that you just actively engage in it and contribute your time, content, ideas, etc. It's all for fun and to try to make a world a little better place. Regarding detecting compatibilities (I assume you are asking about the current automated detection, the video still shows a manual approach). It is done by checking if a keyboard is supporting all the features used in a style (like drum remapping, mega voices, specific style format). The majority of it is checking if all the voices inside a style are supported by a keyboard. We have that list inside a data sheet, we just ("just") needed to parse it from there for each keyboard. If you are interested I can go into more details on the forum.
Lots of work you put in! I'm not typical - I only use styles as a beat box and play any other parts myself, so less useful for me that some people. Still, it looks like an awesome and useful tool. THANKS!
Thank you! One of the features I have in plans is a style matching by a drum pattern. So you could enter "kick-snare-kick-kick-snare" and it will show you all the styles with this pattern (either factory or custom). So I think in your case that could be also pretty useful, as currently to find a style with the right rhythm you have to just try them all one by one.
Pozdrawiam.
This is so much effort that you've put in to make it easy for all of us out here. Appreciate your work. Thank you for putting everything in one place... The design of the website is very easy and there's so much more to it....a big thank you to you for helping so many of us out here!!
Oh my goodness! At first viewing, this screamed out as being way too good to be true.... buuuut.... if indeed this INCREDIBLY generous investment of your time, talent and imagination is what it now appears to be - well, I genuinely believe our substantial community of Yamaha keyboardists will happily join you in supporting and growing your venture! You clearly have far greater tech-skills than I but, if there's anything I can contribute along the way... So saying, a thought actually did already just occur to me: As well as linking the keyboard to a computer via wire, might the USB Wireless LAN Adaptor be a viable alternative? (I own a Tyros 5/76 btw).
Thank you so much! Yes if we all can join forces I am sure we can create something special here. Interesting idea about the wireless adaptor, if it lets you connect to your computer it should work with this site as well in theory. if you have it can give it a try, I am also really curious if it would work.
@@styleplayer_io A USB Wireless LAN Adaptor came supplied by Yamaha with my Tyros5 (along with a music rest and dust covers etc) and I normally use it in conjunction with the Yamaha Expansion Manager (YEM) to transfer Style Packs wirelessly to the keyboard. [Not entirely certain but I think it's also intended for use with the Yamaha song/chord recognition gizmo which I don't have.] I'd need some "coaching" from you to assess its suitability for your application however.
Wow, thank you very much for your hard work! I see the potential and will contribute to your project as much as I can. The web based style creator would be a blast! And yes, no need for the software style control, as you already have this instant transfer and can use your own hardware instead.
Thank you, if you have any thoughts where to take this project next please post your ideas on the forum so they wont get lost. Sounds like we are thinking in the same direction, always interested in hearing some suggestions.
Super!!!! Was a bit skeptical something for free? I was still a bit curious and did the test. I searched for the name of singer Sheena Easton and found the title, and then the matching style. On closer inspection I already had the style (80sChintzyPop) on the Genos 2 but I couldn't have recognized it as a song from the name. Well this is a great piece of equipment that certainly deserves a big compliment As a programmer I am amazed that you were able to shape such a complex whole. From experience I know that it must have been an immense job to realize this I hope that users realize what a great service you have offered them. I will follow this and wish you much success with the further development. And I think that this may also yield a financial form of profit. Good luck further and thank you very much for this wonderful initiative Fred
Thank you sir! Glad I could impress a fellow programmer :) Many of the future exciting improvements will rely on programming, midi and instrument knowledge. For example: how to autodetect which keyboards support a style, how to auto revoice styles, in what format to accept user contributed chords, how to generate XF files, how to make an archive of voices and registration, etc. If that's the kind of questions you are interested in brainstorming I invite you to join our forum. There are currently lots of discussions and requests where to take this project next, and we could really use help from from people who are interested in both programming and keyboards.
@@styleplayer_io Happy with your answer. I programmed before but 10 years ago in Visual basic, and PHP MYSQL, JavaScipt . I have a genos 2 and a Korg Pa1000. I would like to link my registrations etc. from the genos to the Pa1000 and have already tried some hardware tools but they are limited in their possibilities and I can not achieve what I would like to do with them. They cannot read and parse SYSEX. That is why I thought of making a custom program and am now still looking at which language I would best use and am therefore studying some programming languages that are best suited for my purpose. I have to choose between C++ C# and Python with which I am furthest along. Which language do you use and which do you recommend, then I can also commit myself to work with and think along in a project. I am 79 and maybe I am not as quick in thinking as I used to be, and maybe I am not progressing as fast as I used to, but I am a perseverer once I have set my mind to it. I would like to look into it and if I understand it well enough, I would like to participate in a project.
@@swpderf By the invitation to participate I mean not as much the actual coding, but just the general brainstorming and figuring out how to approach the problems correctly. So no specific language knowledge needed, I just want to gather keyboard enthusiasts with technical background so we speak the same language and understand what it takes to implement a particular feature. Regarding picking a language for your own project. I would pick what you are most familiar with, any language can parse the binary file and access midi. You can do it in javascript and in php, thats what my site is written in btw, but if you want to distribute it as a standalone utility then probably need to have some language that supports that. For a simple local quick prototype javascript would be my primary choice - no need to install anything it all works inside a browser, can communicate via midi with any device, can parse binary files. All my keyboard communication and midi processing is done in javascript.
@@styleplayer_io That is much easier! I would like to contribute if that can be useful. I do have some practical ideas and wishes that Yamaha should actually solve.
This looks Amazing!!! Can’t wait to dig in. I’d really like to find a way to edit OTS components of a factory style and then save as a custom version (without needing to use registrations).
Thank you. Yeah this is also a good idea, to me a good OTS is what sets the style apart. If you have time maybe you can open a forum thread about it so we don't forget about it.
Thank you! Yeah it would be great, but I want to perfect it for Yamaha first before expanding to anything else. But keep the requests coming so I know how much interest there is, maybe high demand will make me change my priorities.
This is a genius thing you are doing. As you said yourself, there is possibly a greater need for this with arrangers other than Yamaha. While I appreciate that your area of expertise and interest is with Yamaha, I’m crossing my fingers and toes that you can be convinced to do something similar for Korg users like myself.
Recently bought a Yamaha genos i love it but I have a long way to go to learn it well enough. I have been looking for something just like this to help me with it.thanks for all your suggestions I will definitely subscribe and look forward to more info.
Hello. Thank you. It's a really good initiative. Hopefully, we can all save a lot of time in the future. I am playing a Genos2 and looking forward to sharing and downloading registrations in the future. Maybe it would be an idea to make it possible to upload text with chords and also marks/numbers that show when to shift to the next registration.
And thank you! Yeah something like that would be great to have but it requires some brainstorming. Registrations are tricky as they are not compatible with other keyboard models, and rely on underlying styles to be in the same location (not a problem for factory styles but custom styles might have to be renamed or relocated). So simply sharing them won't be as useful and convenient as it initially seems. I am toying with an idea of creating "universal" registrations that are keyboard independent and can be adjusted on the fly for your specific keyboard and your styles location during download. I hope we find more people who are interested in this initiative and can come up together with some plan how to tackle this.
Thank you, yeah I probably should create a video about it. In short - install the usb driver (might already have it if you ever connected your keyboard), go to the site, click on a popup asking to give it midi permissions, then can select your keybaord under midi in/out on the site and the transfer should work.
Hello One question about direct midi transfer to the keyboard : Which USB connector do I have to connect the computer to ? The standard USB type A connector or the "To Host" connector ? I guess it's the To Host, but would like to be sure. Thank you !! 🙏
Deffo going check this out. I have a few thousand style files (and a good memory to remember where they are) I can definately see a use for this. I have posted a link to your page and this video on a Tyros owners group which has the classic "anyone got this one" post..... Nice work buddy.
@@styleplayer_io unfortunately the admin of the page viewed my post as spam and told me that he wont allow posts that sell stuff. I have sent him a mail advising of his error and hopefully he will allow the post....
Thank you for this awesome video. The development you have done is something I have dreamed about for a long time. I also have created something but it is definitely not as good as the one you created. I will start using your site and hopefully contribute to it. My wish for the future is a tool that can transfer a wave file to a suitable Midi file. There are some tools available but these are not working correct. I understand why, but did not yet found the solution. And I have a strong software background. Hope to see more in the future from you. I give you 5 STARS. 🙂
Awesome to hear, thank you! If you check out the forum there are lots of ideas for the future improvements, see if you have some feedback. Regarding WAV to Midi, it's a much more difficult problem and I think realistically it's out of scope for a project like this, it would require machine learning and lots of resources. For us it would be amazing if we could achieve automatic Midi to style conversion, this one is much more realistic though still very challenging, so far nobody was able to pull it off (with good results).
Brilliant idea..... can't thank enough as I ran out of words...for this enormously unsurmountable task that you have done for YAMAHA arranger owners... particularly for people like me who are completely NOVICE in music journey happen to have SX 900... only one small request ... plz try to add some Hindi/Urdu songs in your great collection..stay blessed and I pray that may your all desired fulfilled. TARIQ
Hello, glad you liked it! If you have any Hindi styles feel free to share them, it will attract more people who are interested in such content and they will share more styles in return. These are all user contributed styles.
@@styleplayer_io Unfortunately I don't, but as soon as I am able to get I will share, but you will not find them very neatly done work.... However Yamaha have some Hindi Music Expansion packs, you check them it will give you a better idea.... Thanks and stay blessed
Glad you like it! Give it a try and see if it works, many of them should. I will trying to make an automated compatibility detection soon so it will say exactly on what keyboards styles will work, as currently it's all used contributed evaluations.
great idea! but for me personally, a good style editor is most necessary, and again for me personally, it doesn't matter what the price is if it is made to work properly, because so far I have bought all the existing ones and none of them work 100%
Yeah I agree with you. I think the biggest problem with the current style editors is not the price, or the complexity, or the lack of features, but their workflow. I want to preview all my changes instantly so I can constantly go back and forth between an editor and a keyboard, and I also don't want to guess how my melody will be transposed when I press a certain chord. Lets say I wrote my melody as "C-D-E", I want to know upfront that this will be played as C-D#-E when I press Gm chord, not after I transfer it to the keyboard and try playing it. I also think the right flow should be backwards - instead of creating a style you need to be creating a midi of the final version, and let it create the style automatically to match the end result as close as possible. That's how some software like yamaha's midi-to-song works, and I think that's the right approach, but they all are too dumbed down and lack the necessary customization and flexibility for any serious work. These problems can be solved using the direct file transfer method for instant previews, and a knowledge how NTT rules work to remove the guesswork from the process and automate it. I hope I will have enough dedication and motivation to start this project. Didn't expect this reply to be so long, but style editing is probably the project I am most excited about and I have lots of thoughts about it going through my head.
Think your on a winner there. I've always thought ,why can't they just do it through usb without hassle of usb sticks and extracting files and all that hassle
Wow what an awesome tool! Looking forward to use this! Love the idéa of controling the keyboard via the web browser. I'm trying to figure out how to download from the brower to my keyboard. I have a Yamaha tyros 3 is there a setting i have to adjust in my keyboard to make it work? I'm using my keyboard to stream with OBS to TH-cam and Twitch. Maybe here's tools for me to use when streaming too. Like if someone request a song it could load the setup in my keyboard via the browser.
Thank you. In short, if you have your keyboard connected and go to the site you should see a popup asking to give it the permissions to connect to your midi keyboard. After that you should be able to select your keyboard under midi input/output on the site, and transfer files into your "user" section of styles. I probably need to create a video tutorial about it as it's not very straight forward. I haven't seen a confirmation from Tyros owners if this feature works yet so maybe there are some problems, but it should work I believe. I also see a great value in being able to control a keyboard via a web, I think it opens a lot of really interesting options. Being able to load a registration via a web is totally possible, but the best part is that creating new registrations via a web is also now possible, and since a registration pretty much stores every setting on a keyboard it allows almost unlimited control of a keyboard via a web (even if it's indirectly, by creating and loading temporary registrations, which can be transparent to a user). if you have some more ideas about web connectivity I invite you to start a thread on our forum so everyone can discuss and brainstorm it further.
Hey, this is quite an impressive announcement. Here is hoping that there will indeed be a community behind the project. The fundmentals are perfectly exposed, and now that the most used Yamaha-related forum is closed, you amay have a perfect window of opportunity. My comment would not be complete if I did not add to the list of what more would I like. Probably simple (given what you already achieved) but limited to the most recent keyboards from the brand: attach chord loops (in the Yamaha format) to the songs ! I have been looking for a "chord loop" editor for my SX900 for years. There is one unfinished PC program project, simply called "Chords" that I use. It does not have any editing (cut/paste/insert/...)feature,but at least you, if painstakingly, go from the written chord grid to the loop /bank file ... Brvo and Best wishes from Paris
Thank you, noted. My keyboard doesn't support the chord looper so I am not really familiar with this feature and it wasn't on my radar. If you have been using this feature for a while and have some ideas how to improve the existing tooling and integrate it into this project I invite you to create a thread on our forum so we can brainstorm it, perhaps other people also have some ideas to contribute.
Amazing work! Thank you for this. Can anyone tell me which PSR model is the closest to the DGX670? I will need this info for filtering amongbthe thousands of styles 😮 Thank you for your help
Thank you! Technically DGX670 corresponds to Tyros2 and PSR is Tyros3, but feel free to experiment and try styles from different keyboards many of them will work anyway, even many Genos2 styles might work just fine if they don't use any unique instruments or features. If you are searching for a style for a specific song just try all available styles, it won't break anything just might not sound good enough.
It is in distant plans currently, I will get to it once everything that was planned for the core style archive gets implemented, and there are still plenty to do there.

Noted, thank you for the suggestion. I haven't explored other keyboard style formats yet but automatic revoicing is on my radar, i think we can totally do something interesting there, there are tons of styles even within Yamaha that can benefit from the auto revoicing.
It should work in theory but there are not many styles specifically for that model currently probably. You can try styles from other keyboard models that you think would be compatible.
Thank you. Pretty much any yamaha keyboard is kind of supported (though not all keyboards are specifically listed), it's just an archive of user contributed styles, nobody stops someone from contributing styles of any keyboard that supports them. How many of existing styles work on A5000 I am not sure, perhaps you can just try different styles and see if they work.
In theory yes. It just sends midi note events so as long as you have the same instruments it might work. It's pretty finicky though so if it doesn't work I wouldn't be too surprised :) The biggest challenge there is sending events in the right order (which can differ from what is written in the style) and place some unknown delays between certain commands. But in theory you could use it to play styles on instruments not supporting styles. If you get a chance to try it can you please reply how it worked, I haven't had any feedback from non-arranger owners, really curios how well it works on MODX.
This is a platform for users to share styles, they are not really "my" styles. So it's a mixed bag of styles from all keyboards. I am not sure how many of them will work on DGX models, you can give it a try and see what happens. If you (or other DGX owners) have styles for your keyboard you can also contribute them and create your own colelction of styles.
What you're doing is very exciting! Thank You! Can't wait to try it out! One suggestion would be to note what model the style that was uploaded originally came from. I've had many Yamaha arrangers from psrs to Tyros and now saying up for a Genos2. The style might have the same name but it will have some very unique and often desirable arrangement. This looks very promising! Thank you! Thankyou! Thank you! ٩(͡๏̯͡๏)۶ 🎹 .•*¨*•♫♪
And thank you for the suggestion! Currently you can specify which keyboard it was originated from by setting its compatibility level to "factory", which is the highest level of of compatibility and is above "full" level. So in a case of original Tyros styles I would set the compatibility levels like so: Tyros=factory, Genos=full. And if this is not a factory style then I figured it doesn't matter what keyboard it was originated from if it plays and sounds the same, though perhaps it is still useful to list somewhere. Compatibility is the most challenging part of this whole project, I don't really find my current approach great but not sure what would be a better way. If you have some thoughts or suggestions I invite you to start a thread on our forum so we can collect some ideas.
Could be, I am not really familiar with Roland, but thanks for bringing it up, I will look into how Go-Keys work maybe we can borrow something from it.
I am getting many responses from DGX owners sounds like a popular model that needs some attention. I am not really sure what styles this keyboard supports, if you or other DGX owners have time please join the forum and tell us more about this keyboard, what styles it can play, is there a backward compatibility with Tyros/PSR styles, etc.
@@styleplayer_io Okay, I'll give a rundown of the 670: Imagine a watered down Tyros 3, but take out all the Super Articulation 2 voices. Take all three intros/exits and put them all in one Intro/Ending button (all three can be accessed via the Direct Access button), and hide a few voices (VoxHumana, StringQuartet, etc.) Apart from the changes to the intro/exits, it can take 4 whole style variations and a break fill, which, when compared to its predecessor the DGX-660. is a MASSIVE upgrade. The 660's style control only had one intro and exit, and it was all one one button. And only got two variations with two fills. PSR-3000 and Tyros 2 styles work just fine on the DGX-670 without having to make any tweaks. The Tyros 3 styles will need you to clean off the Super Articulation 2 voices for use on the 670. Tyros 4 and 5, you'll need to make several tweaks (both have the jazz scats and new gospel choir, too) Tyros 5's new brass MegaVoices are mapped differently from the M.V. Brass on the T2, 3, and 4. Same with the T5, Genos, and Genos 2 with the brass and vocals/choir, but one big thing to note with the Genos series (and the PSR-SX series) is the new drum maps. I've pulled up the data lists for those keyboards so I can get a look at what's going on. If I had a Genos or SX keyboard, the guesswork would be eliminated completely, but it is what it is. The Genos 2 also has some new Oberkrainer M.voices, and a Whistle mega voice. The Ukulele megavoice shouldn't be a problem, as it can be changed to the Nylon Guitar mega voice. With a little bit of strategically adjusted EQ and adjustment of brightness (MIDI CC#74) and resonance (CC#71) and you'd barely be able to find a difference in the absence of a direct comparison, because the ukulele and the standard tuned nylon guitar use the same strings.
@@GreenBoy9000 Wow, thank you for such a detailed explanation. Sounds like DGX is an equivalent of T2. When I was seeding the site I started with T3 and went up, so currently there are not many T2 styles. But I hope the community will start sharing some soon. Anyone can share any style, if there is enough DGX enthusiasts feel free to just upload and share your styles, nothing is stopping you. You sound really knowledgable in keyboard compatibilities. One of the areas I wanted to explore is automated style conversion/revoicing. For example I am sure it is possible to come up with a set of mapping rules that will let us automatically convert T3 styles to T2 by changing the instruments. So if it's something you are also interested in exploring and want to share your knowledge feel free to join the forum so we can discuss it further.
That's why DMCA was invented, to protect sites that host user content like youtube, fb, etc from lawsuits because of the content their users upload, they just need to offer a proper procedure to take it down on demand from copyright owners, and that's what we offer as well. This site goes one step further and offers content creators a unique option to fingerprint and blacklist their content upfront from uploads, so they don't even have to bother going through the DMCA process later. Have you ever asked yourself how do all other style sharing forums out there monitor for copyrighted styles that don't have any of these options in place? That's what I would worry about if I were a content creator, not this site that offers content creators all the options to protect their content.
Hm, sorry about that. Can you please describe at what point this error happens, after you pick your username and password and click the "register" button? Or maybe you are using "login with google" option?
There's one problem when sorting things (in any database) by their english names; all names begining with "a" or "the" are sorted together. There should be a way to ignore articles in sorting.
Good point, yeah that's something I was thinking about how to solve. Don't really like the standard solution of "Beatles, The" but perhaps it's a necessary evil.
nice idea but lacks one very important thing - bundle of all factory styles from "pro" (from 90s 730/740 thru tyros'es S SX to the newest Genos 2) yamaha keyboards/arrangers WITHOUT DUPLICATES. There are all factory styles from yamaha on your page but with a lot of duplicates
Let's say we have the same style for Tyros3 and Tyros 4 and you want to play it on Genos, which one do you want to see and which one is a duplicate? It currently shows everything and you select the one you think would fit best your keyboard. But I agree we probably can make the filtering more advanced so you can select exactly the styles you want to see.
@@styleplayer_io tried now again and it works better for now. Don't know why it was so slow this afternoon. It was not my internet connection, because other sites were working normal and when i got back then at yours, there was the same problem. I hope it's better now ;-)
Sorry not familiar with Genos club, at a quick glance it looks like a paid subscription where the author shares his styles with subscribers? If that's the case, then this site is completely free, and here people share their styles with each other.
Yeah that's something I was going back and forth on. I understand it adds one extra annoying step, but it also gives an extra level of security both to the server and to the user, in case some bad apple sneaks in it can't do any damage inside a zip. You can also avoid zips if you use direct transfers via a cable. If you like, you can start a thread about it on the forum, lets see what others say. I am open to providing unzipped files if that's the consensus.

All ypu made is so well thought, it is as good, as if a big team of experts mde this for Yamaha.
Your project is the best i have seen for years, and what you already achieved is phantastic.
Im keen to see what you make in future.
👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you so much for so many kind words! Glad you like it!
WOW WOW and WOW again! Great Work! Will use it for sure.
Thank you :)
Great! Big like for the effort and the best of luck in future. I really hope it will become a successful project and all musicians who play arranger keyboards will know, use and appreciate this project! 👏👏👏
Thank you Mark :)
Looks wonderful! I'm in with you. Thanks very much! Good luck with your work!
Thank you, glad you liked it!
This is too good to be true! Can’t wait to try it out. Thank you.
Thank you, hope you like it!
Hello!!! This is a very, very useful thing!!! I'm starting to study...thank you very much!!!!
Thank you, glad you like it!
Live Set... Is awesome... Thank you for this. You are God sent... God bless
Thank you!
Thanks you so much 🤩 !
It will be a huge progress for our arrangers.
And thank you!
Pozdrawiam.
Thank you so much for the kind words!
Absolutely brilliant. Thanks for the hard work!
My pleasure! Thank you!
Super! This i something I always wanted.
Glad you like it!
This is so much effort that you've put in to make it easy for all of us out here. Appreciate your work. Thank you for putting everything in one place... The design of the website is very easy and there's so much more to it....a big thank you to you for helping so many of us out here!!
Thank you sir, glad you like it!
This is really a great idea and looks very promising! Thank you for your effort and I wish us all much success with these great new opportunities
Thank you, glad you like it!
Wow, Thanks for all your hard work. Looking forward to trying it out!!!!
And thank you!
Excellent work, thank you very much
Thank you too!
Good project. Thanks for taking this up.
Impressive work! Can't wait for your idea to take off! Thanks!!
Thank you sir!
Thank you very much for this very informative video.
This is so cool. Thank you very much!
Glad you like it!
Awesome work...💙🎹🥹
Thank you!
Well this is a great piece of equipment that certainly deserves a big compliment
As a programmer I am amazed that you were able to shape such a complex whole. From experience I know that it must have been an immense job to realize this
I hope that users realize what a great service you have offered them. I will follow this and wish you much success with the further development.
And I think that this may also yield a financial form of profit.
Good luck further and thank you very much for this wonderful initiative Fred
Thank you sir! Glad I could impress a fellow programmer :)
Many of the future exciting improvements will rely on programming, midi and instrument knowledge.
Great work friend….you have solved such a big problem
Thank you!
Nice work with my compliments..........
Thank you!
Great job! Very usefull for Yamaha Keyboards user. It would be a good idea to add Korg and Ketron instruments. Thanks a lot.
Stunning! Thank you so much much!
Glad you like it!
Thank you sir! I have been looking for this
And thank you sir!
Recently bought a Yamaha genos i love it but I have a long way to go to learn it well enough. I have been looking for something just like this to help me with it.thanks for all your suggestions I will definitely subscribe and look forward to more info.
Thank you!
This is really very very impressive. Thank You!
Thank you too!
Hello.
GREAT WORK!!!. Here you have a new subscriber and registered user!. Thanks!!!
Thank you!
Fantastic, been waiting for this. Thanks for your hard work. Any chance you could make a TH-cam demo how to connect a keyboard?
Thank you, yeah I probably should create a video about it. In short - install the usb driver (might already have it if you ever connected your keyboard), go to the site, click on a popup asking to give it midi permissions, then can select your keybaord under midi in/out on the site and the transfer should work.
Hello
One question about direct midi transfer to the keyboard :
Which USB connector do I have to connect the computer to ?
The standard USB type A connector or the "To Host" connector ?
I guess it's the To Host, but would like to be sure.
Thank you !! 🙏
Yes it is correct, USB-A to PC, USB-B to keyboard's "To host"
Deffo going check this out. I have a few thousand style files (and a good memory to remember where they are) I can definately see a use for this. I have posted a link to your page and this video on a Tyros owners group which has the classic "anyone got this one" post..... Nice work buddy.
Thank you sir!
@@styleplayer_io unfortunately the admin of the page viewed my post as spam and told me that he wont allow posts that sell stuff. I have sent him a mail advising of his error and hopefully he will allow the post....
thank you soooooooooooo much !
You're soooo welcome!
Thanks I already subscribe to your site and are impressed. I will investigate to WAV to MIDI in depth and you never know what the future brings
Thanks so much. I am 80 yo. And found Yamaha DGX670 exactly as you described . Very frustrating . You give me hope.
And thank you!
Great effort 👍
Thank you!
This is what I wanted this whole life! I've been serching these styles for PSR keyboards. Thanks for sharing!❤
Do these styles work on my DGX 670?
Glad you like it! Give it a try and see if it works, many of them should. I will trying to make an automated compatibility detection soon so it will say exactly on what keyboards styles will work, as currently it's all used contributed evaluations.
😊 Muchas gracias por tu aportación me parece un gran proyecto felicidades….
Thank you, glad you like it!
🎼GREAT❣️🙏
Glad you like it!
great idea! but for me personally, a good style editor is most necessary, and again for me personally, it doesn't matter what the price is if it is made to work properly, because so far I have bought all the existing ones and none of them work 100%
Yeah I agree with you.
Didn't expect this reply to be so long, but style editing is probably the project I am most excited about and I have lots of thoughts about it going through my head.
very impressive big thanx
Most welcome
Think your on a winner there. I've always thought ,why can't they just do it through usb without hassle of usb sticks and extracting files and all that hassle
Thank you, i couldn't stand the usb sticks approach too.
So - it has been a while now - when is the launch date?
Not sure what you mean it was launched before the video was released.
❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
I will need this info for filtering amongbthe thousands of styles 😮
Thank you for your help
Thank you for your answer 😊
Can't wait to be back home for trying your amazing application
Kind regards
When will the style creator come out on this Web site
It is in distant plans currently, I will get to it once everything that was planned for the core style archive gets implemented, and there are still plenty to do there.
awesome !

A perfect midi to style is needed for yamaha which also converts and revoices korg's style too
Noted, thank you for the suggestion. I haven't explored other keyboard style formats yet but automatic revoicing is on my radar, i think we can totally do something interesting there, there are tons of styles even within Yamaha that can benefit from the auto revoicing.
Will visit this page for sure…
Does it work with PSR E473 model ?
It should work in theory but there are not many styles specifically for that model currently probably. You can try styles from other keyboard models that you think would be compatible.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing application! Any plans to support the PSR-A5000? Thank you
So, the emulator makes it possible to listen to the styles with any keyboard? So my Yamaha MOX-8 would be able to play this?? Sound cool.
In theory yes. It just sends midi note events so as long as you have the same instruments it might work. It's pretty finicky though so if it doesn't work I wouldn't be too surprised :)
The biggest challenge there is sending events in the right order (which can differ from what is written in the style) and place some unknown delays between certain commands. But in theory you could use it to play styles on instruments not supporting styles.
If you get a chance to try it can you please reply how it worked, I haven't had any feedback from non-arranger owners, really curios how well it works on MODX.
Your styles works for the DGX-670? My piano only it's compatible with XT2 files
This is a platform for users to share styles, they are not really "my" styles. So it's a mixed bag of styles from all keyboards. I am not sure how many of them will work on DGX models, you can give it a try and see what happens. If you (or other DGX owners) have styles for your keyboard you can also contribute them and create your own colelction of styles.
please update european song style for yamaha psr sx900 style thank you
Yamaha should be paying you for this
Are these styles optimized to Genos? Have they longer patterns about 8 or 16 bars?
Currently it's basically a platform for sharing styles. If people who have Genos optimized styles decide to share them they have a place to do it.
How can we get these, PLEASE?
If you have some thoughts or suggestions I invite you to start a thread on our forum so we can collect some ideas.
please please do add a normal download, i cant connect the arranger to the computer, those are miles away lol i have no issues with using
usb sticks.
The normal download is also available, there is a huge green "Download" button, cant miss it.
Roland beat Yamaha this time through Roland Cloud then created Go-Keys. Yamaha should be doing what you're doing. Thanks for the effort!
Could be, I am not really familiar with Roland, but thanks for bringing it up, I will look into how Go-Keys work maybe we can borrow something from it.
J'ai un DGX 670 est-ce c0mpatible avec votre site? merci
If it supports Yamaha style files then it should be compatible. Give it a try see if it works.
I also have DGX 670 - wondering the same. 🙂
Also Yamaha DGX-670 owner. What a fabulous resource. Thank you for all that work. Will be trying them out asap.
How do we get these styles
By clicking on the style name (green link). Can you elaborate what part confuses you?
@@styleplayer_io yeah its not rocket science is it
Why do you have to register and log in? What's the catch?
You don't have to register to use the site and download styles, you only have to register if you want to contribute.
@@styleplayer_io Thank you very much for the answer. Now I understand and it makes perfect sense
Merci bien 🥰🥰🥰🥰💪💪
I have a DGX-670. This should be fun.
Tyros 4 and 5, you'll need to make several tweaks (both have the jazz scats and new gospel choir, too)
Tyros 5's new brass MegaVoices are mapped differently from the M.V.
Are there files for PSR-S950?
Not many probably, but you can try styles from some other compatible models like Tyros3, see if they work.
holy fuck :O thank you!
That's the reaction I was hoping to evoke :) Thank you!
Why not include CVP809?
CVP support is coming very soon (today or tomorrow).
any style for a psr-e473
Do you know what styles from other keyboards are supported on psr-e473 (like can it play Tyros3 styles)?
Nothing for the PSR S770?
Can it play Tyros3 styles or it needs something older? If it can play other keyboard's styles maybe you can try searching for that instead.
How do you monitor copyrighted styles?? I see a lawsuit ….
@@styleplayer_iobullshit. It’s a lawsuit waiting to happen.
Sign up is Not possible. A error came everytime.😢 unexpected error
Hm, sorry about that. Can you please describe at what point this error happens, after you pick your username and password and click the "register" button? Or maybe you are using "login with google" option?
@@styleplayer_io now it works
Name of your site please
It's in the video description. I can't post a link in the comments.
@@styleplayer_io doesnt matter little differences between same styles, i always edit them to my personal taste

The site is very slow and get very often the message that there is no connection to the site
The site is not loading for you? Hm, not sure I think there was no downtime.
@@styleplayer_io tried now again and it works better for now. Don't know why it was so slow this afternoon. It was not my internet connection, because other sites were working normal and when i got back then at yours, there was the same problem. I hope it's better now ;-)
Give this man his credits, Like & Subcribe! Just do it, it will help him as well!
Thank you, it makes youtube display this video to more people!
Eagles band styles?
Hotel california?
If you type "hotel california" into a search should see some style for it.
Haw can i see haw much people haw used my unloaded style
You can look at the download counter.
This looks like another Genos Club - see Leigh Wilbraham - maybe you could collaborate?
Sorry not familiar with Genos club, at a quick glance it looks like a paid subscription where the author shares his styles with subscribers? If that's the case, then this site is completely free, and here people share their styles with each other.
seriously dont bother.. i joined and it wasnt worth it and i dont deal with egotistical idiots.. this way sounds much better
@soulgirl62 Thanks for the heads up. I do tend to agree, considered signing up, but then didn't bother.
Why, why why zip ????
Yeah that's something I was going back and forth on. I understand it adds one extra annoying step, but it also gives an extra level of security both to the server and to the user, in case some bad apple sneaks in it can't do any damage inside a zip. You can also avoid zips if you use direct transfers via a cable.
If you like, you can start a thread about it on the forum, lets see what others say. I am open to providing unzipped files if that's the consensus.

My computer is not near my keyboard, so have to use usb stick 😊 But you are doing a great job with this program !!
I just rewrite the style from scratch
