If no one else has pointed it out, the way Peter says dialogue changes depending if your standing still or moving.
He'll sound more winded and catching his breath while speaking whenever swinging or running. They had the VO, Yuri Lowenthal, record dialogue twice to make this happen. Love these details!
Glad you're enjoying the game so far!! Had a feeling it was up your alley, but after hearing how big of a Spider-Man fan you are yeah you're definitely gonna have a blast with this haha. Everything about it is incredible, such a fun take of a Spidey 8 years into his run. No starting at his origin is a breath of fresh air. Always love seeing people see Octavius for the first time, that moment of "oh this is where we're going" is great haha. Can't wait to see more of this from ya!

Yesss finally! I've been waiting so long for this. So hyped for you to play both the Spider-Man games! I remember this game came with the Ps4 we got and I fell in love with it immediately and to this day play it just to swing around. The swinging never gets old. As much as I truly hate the redesign for Peter in the remaster, everything else in this version is absolutely gorgeous
I am sooo excited to watch you play this game! It's one of favorites and watching you play it is like reliving it for the first time 😁. Also, when you see the triangle button over a citizen's head like at 1:16:31, you either high five them and get a little XP or, sometimes, they give you a tip on where some side missions are.

Haven't played in a while so it's great to see others enjoy this game. Yes, the game can be overwhelming due to the map size and everything else in it but I love games like this. You'll definitely get used to the controls. Already looks like you're anyway. Great video.

If you look closely when exploring the city, you can catch Easter Eggs related to other Marvel heroes like the Avengers Tower, the embassy of Wakanda and Doctor Strange's Sanctum Sanctorum. Also, you do good in playing the side missions because there are some Spider Man villains who appear in those side missions which are not related with the main story.

Bruh! You have the OG Spiderman for PS1. Seeing that case brought back so many memories. That was the first game I owned on PS1. And Spiderman The Movie Game was the first game I had on PS2. Now, I wish I still had them.
I love all the actors who played Spider Man, but Tom Holland is the best to me because he does his own stunts
Yeah I love 'em all but I feel like Tom just really nails both Pete and Spider-Man, just wish they'd give us the red and blue suit from Civil War again.
Hey there, It is good to see you playing again so soon. I voted for you to make a let's play of Ghost of Tsushima but this game is also a stelar good time. The combat is intuitive and fun, the story is well thought out and there are tons of Marvel references sprikled everywhere you look which makes it even more sweet to play through. I might just drop in and bust some amazing tips and hints like I did during the GOW playthrough, I can stop if you find it annoying. Anyways:
- Peter has been Spider-man for well over eight years during this game timeline, you can expect to see many villains and refferences to spidey's past adventures brought stright from the comics and television series, however, this game occupies its own timeline in the spiderverse. Something to have in mind.
- You picked up the 'stunned' and 'webbed' enemies guimick pretty fast, keep that in mind for future battle encounters. Pressing L1+R1 to yank enviromental cues to bok an enemy is a great way to keep the combat flow going and you can do it on the ground and in mid-air. Many set pieces will show up that can stun a group of enemies all at once if you position yourself just right like a junction box by the wall or a precarious scafolding by the corner, make use of them.

This is the number one greatest Spidey games that I've played, the Miles Morales spin-off is also brilliant, short but grand!! Spider-Man 2 is a close 3rd for me! 👍🏾 really hope you have fun with this game, lots of love! ☺

Spider-Man has always been one of my favorite Marvel superheroes too since my 90's childhood!😉The wisecracks and puns he always does is always so hilarious😂and this 2018 Spider-Man game is the best they've made so far especially this remastered version of it. Can't wait for MARVEL'S SPIDER-MAN 2 this year!😁

@TheMirandalorian you have yourself a new subscriber, I love how just over the moon for spider man as a character you are, I think you and I could be great friends if we knew each other in real life based on our spider man fandom alone.
I think in movies Tobey Maguire is easily my favorite spider man by far, as his first movie as Spider-Man was my first ever PG-13 movie in theaters and I remember that final battle with Green Goblin terrifying me as a 5 year old kid, just unsure if Spider-Man was going to win, obviously he did and I was happy in the end but, when Green Goblin was brutally pummeling poor Pete into a bloody pulp, I was terrified because it was easily one of if not the most intense movie fight scenes I had seen in my limited years on this planet at that point.
As far as games go, I have played quite a few starring our favorite wall crawler, not as many as you have Miranda but, I have played quite a few in my day and not having played 2 yet and won’t receive it until Christmas from my grandparents, it’s been hard staying away from spoilers that long but, I have successfully done so except for some minor out of context reveals, I’ve heard about but, to this point, this is easily my favorite Spider Man video game I’ve ever played.
You’re childhood experience with Spider-Man sounds almost exactly like mine! 😂 PS1 Spider-Man was such a great game. I played it so much back then. The Monster-Ock chase is such a large part of my memory. That and finding the Goblin’s secret stash of weapons. I also remember that supposedly Ghost Rider had a cameo in one level 🤷♂️
Spider-Man 2 web-swinging and Statue of Liberty Mysterio fight is so nostalgic! I always looked for any way to get back to the Statue of Liberty afterwards because it was such a great level!
The only game you didn’t say that I also loved as a child was Ultimate Spider-Man. I loved the switching between Spidey and Venom feature of that game plus the countless boss fights and different Marvel characters/locations being added in. Also jumping off the tallest building as Venom and hitting the ground while being completely fine only to insta-die doing the same as Spidey was funny 🤣
Man I miss those days of playing those games. I need to get to searching for my PS2 and games so I can relive the games ^^
If you don’t 100% it, did you really even play Marvel Spider-Man! Haha it’s a must to fully complete this game every time I play it, it is without a doubt the best Spider-Man game!!
The swinging in this game had me getting lost for 10-15 minutes because of just how smooth it is

The game is great, really fun to play, my only criticism is the redesign of Peter from the ps4 version to the ps5 version, apart from that, it's a great game
You have an immediate like from me for having the original ps1 spidey disc. That was a part of my childhood as well. I played number 2 Enter Electro more though 'cause my friend had number 1 and we'd swap them, then we eventually bought both later. Good times.
My parents didn't buy the second one, but this first one was happiness on a disc!

Also really hope Spider-Man 2 surprises us with co-op. Also hope after Spider-Man 2 we get another game like we did with Miles Morales after first game except this time get a Spider Gwen game.
Please do all the side missions., Especially in Miles Morales, without the side missions Miles is Seriously short, like ¼ the length of Spider-man '18, also So many people ignore the fact that you gain stuff to help with the final boss.

Toby was the most accurate Peter Parker and Andrew was the most accurate Spider-Man
Tom Holland is the most accurate Peter and Spider-Man. Tobey wasn’t even age appropriate, had organic webs so didn’t create the web formula and web shooters, didn’t had the teen personality, etc. Peter is supposed to be a nerd and awkward as Peter and confident as Spider-Man, that’s literally Tom Holland Spider-Man.
@@reynaldolorenzo8409 Tom Holland definitely wasn't the most accurate Peter or Spider-Man. The character is supposed to stand on his own and make his own tech. Holland's SM is completely dependent on Stark and Stark tech. He literally begs Tony to give him the suit back and says "I'm nothing without it." Maguire's and Garfield's Spider-Man would never do that - neither would the Spidey from the comics.
It's not Holland's fault - he was doing what the filmmakers told him to do. It's not his fault that they wanted everything to revolve around Tony Stark and turned Spidey into Iron Man Jr.

Tom Holland made his own tech, he made his own suit, the web formula and web shooters, Tobey didn’t because he had organic webs and the suit he gave money to a tailor to make it so he didn’t make the suit, Holland Peter did everything by himself but then Tony upgraded him. And Holland Spider-Man was part of something bigger, a kid in a universe with world ending threats so they went with more of the Ultimate version of Spider-Man that has Tony as a mentor and it makes perfectly sense to Spider-Man as a kid. Tobey and Andrew SM didn’t went to the kid phase, they skipped all of that and made them instantly adults while Holland has a character arc, NOW that by the end of NWH he is 18 and alone he will be more close to 616 Spider-Man but yes Tom Holland is the most comic accurate.

Yes, Maguire and Garfield Spideys did everything on their own because they were in their own universes without other heroes. So Holland has the problem of being in a world with other heroes. But if he was comic book accurate at all he should still be his own hero and not rely on others to help him as much as they do.
In the comics Spidey was lived in a world full of superheroes, and yet he still made all of his own tech, he defeated his own villains by himself, and he didn't rely on other heroes to give him a purpose. The only reason he wanted to join the Avengers was for the money - the first time they offered him the position he literally attacked them, and later told them "no" even after he passed their test to join the team (by defeating the Hulk).
Yes, Holland creates his own webshooters and initial costume that looks nothing like the comic book one. But then Stark provides him with a suit that looks (almost) like the comic book one, indicating that this Peter could not create the original Spidey suit - he had to be given it by Stark. And once he gets that suit he is completely reliant on it - literally begging Stark for him not to take it away. The Spidey in the comics would never degrade himself like that. He would call Stark "Shell Head", web him in the face, and tell him to get out of there.
The Spidey in the comics didn't have (or need) a mentor. He did everything on his own. He wasn't running around saying "Mr. Stark! Mr. Stark!"
Again, it's not Holland's fault. RDJ was the biggest star in the MCU so they chose to make Peter a fanboy of him. But it's not the character from the comics - at all.

And Holland created the most comic book accurate suit in NWH so idk why you are complaining. He also defeated all his villains on his own. And he is a kid in the MCU so it makes sense, in the comics he also relied on F4 sometimes in the beginning and in some stories. Everything you are talking about has to do with WRITING not with the appearance and personality of the character.

Objectively Tom Holland is the best Spider-Man but Raimi movies did the responsibility aspect better (for now).
As a long time spidey fan, this game felt like a love letter to Spider-Man. It's so much fun and I am glad you are enjoying it! Also, please don't feel you have to shelve games you really want to play for your viewers- the best games to watch you play are the ones you really enjoy! So it's always okay to tell us that you are playing what YOU want and we can go kiss a fluffy dog if we don't like it.

1:16:30 Heads up, don't be afraid of those prompts. If you press them, Spider-Man will give the citizen a high five or take a selfie with them or stuff like that.
This actually applies in general to being on the ground. Go ahead! Walk up to civilians and try to punch them. You won't. You'll just give them waves and finger guns and stuff like that. This game really took some extra steps to solidify Spider-Man as a hero of the people and I love it.

To bad you couldn't experience original face and hair which I thought were much better than the remastered. But the gameplay it's definitely better in the remastered version
It's unfortunate that they changed the actor for Peter from the original release. I still feel that he was a better fit and showed more emotion (could be due to the animators needing to rush out the reboot)

The level with the very small section of NY Streets in Spider-Man 2: Enter Electro was replayed constantly.

Am I the only one that preferred the original Peter Parker face before the remaster? This is a Spider-Man that has been doing the job for awhile and already has several major villains in prison. This face is too young, in my opinion. At no point should Peter look younger than Miles.
Otherwise perfect game.

I will 100 million times agree with you about Tobey Maguire Spider-Man. He is the best Spider-Man he is my all time favorite just because of his story like they focused on With Great Power comes Great Responsibility. If not for those movies I would not love Spidey as much as I do. I love Spider-Man and a big reason for that was Tobey Maguire espescially the first one
Personally I think Andrew Garfield has the best acting of the 3 Spider Men. However as far as smarts I’d give it to Tom Holland’s. Personally I like those two more than Tobey just because they showed how smart Peter could be, while Tobey’s Spider-Man seemed like an average dude. However I still love the Tobey Spider-Man

Okay, thank goodness that’s over. Now for the game, which is only improved by the remaster.
As much as I totally understand people getting the remastered version, to me the best version of this game is the original. The original face of Peter and that actor’s performance is so good. In this version they didn’t get the new actor to perform, they just animated his face onto the model. It’s not bad but it’s just missing some subtle key details that capture so much emotion. That being said to me this is the best Spider-Man story of all time. I know you’ll love it!

Also when you pick up the backpacks press triangle to view more. Without giving too much away, Spider-Man gives context to them. Sometimes there’s more to see if I remember right

Found you from the Hogwarts Legacy stuff recently with other creators and just having this on in the background while working/editing has been a blast - the little jokes throughout the game and your reactions have been great entertainment!

honestly? this spiderman became my definitive but with the original face. that yuri lowenthal/john bubniak was a potent combination while it lasted. genuinely, really, truly hope they go back closer to that face model even if they keep elements of the new one; new one doesn't fit his body (or age) right. anyway, on with the game!
