This event was to mark the one month countdown to the closure of Back to the Future: The Ride. Bob Gale and Christopher Lloyd joined Universal Studios to send off the ride into the future. Filmed on August 2, 2007. Can you believe its been over 5 years!

I'll be honest, I cried hard because it was the first movie I ever watched that was made by Universal and it was a great movie and no matter what kind of time machine I ever see I'll always love Back to the Future
Do you know what back to the future movie sounds like same as magen movie sounds like same
I'm so mad that they replaced it. it was one of the best rides there. It makes no sense to replace a Universal movie ride with a Fox cartoon one.

My Sons was a wish child and this was one of his wishes!! We were Shocked! The ride was gone..but at least they had the Time Machine available! Very Sad that they made
this decision!

That's Missed Up Universal Studios Bring Back, Back To The Future The Ride, Billions Of People Never Get A Chance To Ride This But Please Bring It Back.
They replaced a ride based on a Universal movie with one based on a Fox cartoon. Makes sense.

THEremiXFACTOR I wish they had never ever replaced the Back To The Future ride at all. Back To The Future is still popular with many fans to this very exact day. so why even close down the ride if Back To The Future is still popular to the fans to this very exact day? if i was in th manager's shoes or whoever it it who runs the Universal Studios parks in Orlando in Florida and Hollywood in California, i would have never ever had the Back To The Future ride closed down and had still kept it operating and opened for the many fans out to this very exact day!
I wish they would just make the Simpsons somewhere else, and if bttf was still here, it would have great quality...
That was an awesome way to send off the ride.
I didn't get to ride the ride when I was little, and it's because kids nowadays have never watch any films of back to the future, so they took it down for that type of reason. And Fast & Furious supercharged is fun.

Keep ET, bring back JAWS, BTTF! I actually loved the Simpsons ride but I never got to go before the BTTF ride closed down, and I would trade the Simpsons for BTTF any day.

They should have still kept the ride in 2015 as seen in Back to the Future 2. When I was there going to ride the ride many years ago I remember seeing that Doc Brown impersonator for a second I thought it was really Christopher Lloyd he sounded just like him he was always there when the ride was open at the time.

I've been on that ride only once
They screwed up the Universal parks. When I went to Florida in the late 90s it was awesome. Not worth going to now, no Kong, no BTTF, no Jaws, no Hitchcock attraction. Somehow E.T is still going though.
I went to the Hollywood park in October and quite enjoyed it, Jurassic Park ride is awesome, tour okay, House of Horrors good fun.
The best Universal Park now is maybe Islands of Adventure. Sad really.
Don't mind them removing the classics too much, as long as they replace them with something iconic.
They also replaced the Ghostbusters Spooktacular with Twister...Ride It Out and Nickelodeon Studios with the Blue Man Group Sharp Aquos Theatre too

I am a huge back to the future fan, so when I saw there was a ride I got really excited only to find that it no longer exists. That sucks. The new Harry Potter rides are cool though.

Universal Orlando and Hollywood miss this. It was a better park back then. Never should have taken out BTTF, original version of Earthquake and def. Kongfrontation in Orlando. I watched that park grow. now dumped in a stupid Simpsons ride....jaws is gone..Wish Spielberg was still on the board of directors. He Created Universal Studios Florida (back then) now Universal Resort
As they say, this ride has vanished into the history books

The Back to the Future ride should've never been closed in the first place from the start to begin with. The people who runs Universal Studios in Hollywood, California and Orlando, Florida nowadays should've still kept it around to this day, because it's those kind of theme park attractions that today's generations should be enjoying when they and their families go to Universal Studios. They have absolutely no idea what they're missing out on.
I regrettably never got the chance to go on the ride when me and my dad and I went to Universal Studios Florida of the late 1990s and early 2000s, and even then, I was into Back to the Future. I don't mean to make this sound crude, but I wonder who the idiot was who decided to have the Back to the Future ride closed to be replaced by the Simpsons ride.

Since Disney now owns the simpsons since they bought 20th century fox it’s only a matter of time that attraction would close someday in the future and maybe if universal ever change their mind maybe they might bring back BTTF the ride
