We provide cover from both top and bottom side. But for calculating effective depth while considering tension side reinforcement, we take tension side cover. And for doubly r/f consider compression side cover.

Maam please correct the calculation for effective depth. Eff Depth of beam = Depth of beam - (bottom cover+half of the steel dia).. Exp - taking Steel-12mm ,Cross section300×400. Effective depth = 400-(25+(12/2))=369. Others details are very usefull. Thanks.
Calculations in video are correct. effective cover considered in video not clear cover. In video "effective cover" consider So Effective depth = overall depth - effective cover Or if "clear cover" is given then formula become Effective depth = overall depth - half steel dia - clear cover. Effective cover = clear cover + half steel dia
@@erashmam25 appreciated your quick reply mam, please also guide that area of Stirrups are included in minimum and maximum % of beam in video calculations or not. Now this question regarding beam.
Calculations in video r correct Watch and listen carefully Effective depth = Overall depth - effective cover Effective cover is given in que not clear cover If clear cover is given then formula becomes Overall depth - clear cover - half dia of bar Thank u for watching
today I am seeing your vedio first time ... Excellent ... How to calculate the maximum reinforcement if only b & D are provided... Can we assume the value of d=? And Fy = ? ...plzz reply .🙏
In beam I think we provide steel both top & bottom, so deduction of cover must be double 25+25 to calculate effective depth???

HELLO MAM, AM ALWAYS WATCHING YOU FROM UGANDA, I LOVE YOUR LECTURES
Good teaching mam continue ur videos..👍👍😍😍
Thank u
I think effective depth d should be D minus cover minus half of dia of bar.
d= D minus effective cover.
Effective cover = clear cover + half dia of bar
@@erashmam25 thank you
effective cover 25mm+25mm=50mm
Mam Could u please do the videos on Estimation and Costing??? I hope u do mam ...I am waiting 👍👍

Pahele slab solve karo fir taarif karna😭
Really i am ur big fan .but ur very cute also
mam can you explain minimum and maximum steel in footing .
if a beam having dimensions 3 m × .0.5 m×0.23 m, then how much steel and what dia/ spacing provide
what is minimum % of steel for footing
Same as that of slab .12 for hysd & .15 for mild
you've become my engineering teddy bear.. Greetings from argentina. 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
If given b, D, d than what is the maximum area of steel in compression in a beam
Mam can you tell to find out slab weight and how much slab can withstand maximum load in one metre by one metre
Min... & max.. steel (column, beam, slab) of whose.
Why column effective depth dont calculate?
Min %in of steel for compression steel kitna hoga
Mam 5miter bem ka colam aur bem ka steel Kaya Kaya Dyna chahiye, aur bem size ?
What is the minimum % steel in column and slab
Effective Depth We Calculate as Overall Depth - Cover - 1/2 of Bar Dia, please confirm me if iam wrong
Overall depth- clear cover- 1/2 dia
Or
Overall depth - effective cover
mam in d(effective depth) we have to reduce dia.of bar/2 also right ? i.e (D-cover - dia/2)
Yep
Er ash I am big fan of ur surveying topic video I got job as a surveyor

Dono side ka cover nahi Lena hai Kya
Means 500 - 50 = 450
One tension side cover only
Maam please correct the calculation for effective depth.
In video "effective cover" consider
So Effective depth = overall depth - effective cover
Or if "clear cover" is given then formula become
Effective depth = overall depth - half steel dia - clear cover.
Effective cover = clear cover + half steel dia
Thanks for correcting me..but during the calculation and execution 25mm is Clear cover may be that's why I'm confused.
Ok
Good but mam tell us that stirrups area are include in 6% of steel for column or not????
Not.
0.8 & 6% is only for longitudinal r/f.
