What a fabulous country this has become. The British people deserve better than this. 60 year old blokes sleeping in a car, millions at food banks, 14 years of Tory austerity. Heartless.
I do blame 'Joe Public' to a large degree. The complacency, apathy and 'I'm all right Jack' mentality is part of the reason why people vote against their own interests
@@mac7040well we can do both but the government refuses to do either. The Tories have wasted hundreds of billions of pounds of our money, think about that sum and what could have been done with that if they didn't ciphon it off for their own greed. Stop blaming immigrants for everything.

Hey Carol, how about exposing the sheer number of British companies that the taxpayer funded over the last 60 years that have been privatised - check out how much money they've been making and what we've been missing as taxpayers. When will the greed end?
Also, how about a law banning private healthcare in this country? I know that's where all the NHS dentists are going, private, because they make bank. NHS is a mugs game for clinical professionals, you can't have a two tier system.
Every government minister who takes money from businesses during their time in parliament, Should have this money re-paid back to the Treasury. You make enough money as MPs, with expenses not to need extra.......it makes you look dodgy
How about an audit, top to bottom of every activate contract signed by the government over the value of £100k. That's where I think our money is going.
Homelessness. 100%. There's no excuse for this to be allowed in a country this rich. Help these people get back on their feet. Fix the broken housing system which ONLY benifits the wealthy.
Council estates produce a far, far higher percentage of criminals, druggies etc than the general population. We should suppress unnecessary immigration instead. £15 min wage will price ppl out of work and totally disincentivise 30k jobs like nurse and teacher. Bad idea. More money to LAs will deprive other departments.
I dont think we need to build so many properties? There are tens of thousands of empty properties in Greater Manchester, where I live. Most of the high rises are empty. So we need some way of putting those into use first? But agreed we do need social housing and social security.

I find it fascinating instead of saying match pay of New Zealand/ Australia for doctors and nurses (even we could do minus moving cost, food cost and tax differences), this man wants to force doctors and nurses to stay. They have to be physically forced to stay here because he doesn't even understand that students pay for their education. How about even just if you work in the NHS for 5 years your student debt is wiped clean. You know rather than his point which is just herd them like cattle, that should be thankful they are payed half the wage.
He's a clown. Did you hear him say; " they don't do it for the money"...?? Yeah let's take advantage of the fact they might get some satisfaction from helping people so we can underpay them. Call it a perk of the job.
James, if you forced doctors and nurses to stay, they just wouldn’t bother studying and training to be nurses and doctors. Maybe it would be better to actually deal with the root of the problem and pay them what they should be paid instead of just clapping for them.
The reason the doctors are asking for such a large pay rise is because without it we'll be bleeding more and more staff to other nations which pretty unanimously pay better. We need to give doctors a reason to stay in the UK, lest the NHS collapse
I find it fascinating that his solution wasn't just match pay with new Zealand/ Australia or after 6 years student debt is written off. No it was force them to stay.
A commitment to rejoin the EU as soon as is possible. James Hansen plan for Nucler Power to aid renewables with a tax on Carbon to be given back to the people but not the rich. A wealth tax. A weekly doubling tax--£1/£2/£4/£8on up--on all empty buildings & on Land Banks to make people either sell, rent or build.
I'd like to see all parties unanimously agree that Plaid Cymru and The Green Party have a great policy to change how tax is paid in the UK by the minority (currently ruling and immensely wealthy) party . Then in solidarity adopt the policy themselves into their own parties manifesto so no matter who wins where the class election we are currently facing ends with a positive agreement that it's time we all play and pay fair.

It always annoys me when people talk about a percentage payrise. I am an NHS worker of middle-ish salary and a percentage payrise will give me a significantly bigger raise in pounds than those who need it far more than me? It just makes the rich richer? I would much prefer say, giving all NHS workers a £4,000 payrise so that the lower paid get 20%, the middle earner get 10% those higher end up with 5% for example.
