Thank you for posting all of these! That is my Dad (#7) Bucky Berrey
Kicking.... We owe you big time for capturing these moments and posting
    them to TH-cam!

No problem, happy to share! Sorry for the rough quality of this video, it's the only version I could find. He was a good player, a reliable kicker. Wish I could find the 1974 Florida State game for you, because he hit the game winning field goal in that one to preserve an undefeated regular season.

Wow! You're football royalty, man! You got to play for Bear Bryant! Any stories to share? Here you are at 13:11 - standing to the right of #75 (I can't find any info on jersey numbers, so I'm not sure who that is).
Team photo: s3.amazonaws.com/rolltide.com/images/2016/12/6/1976.jpg . You're on the 2nd row, 5th from the left. #75 is on the top row, 8th from left, exactly in the middle.
      Roll Tide!

I posted this game in 2008 but the quality was so bad I ended up removing it. Thanks for the better quality post.

Interesting enough this was the second game o remember watching as a kid. The other was our trip to south bend that year.

Well, this was a great one. But I imagine you'd probably just as soon forget that Notre Dame game. haha

+Red Elephant Just curious, did you record the game yourself? Not many people had VCRs in '76. They had just come out and were very expensive...Around 2 grand I believe. BTW, good luck against Clemson!

This was when UAT played second fiddle to the USC Men of Troy.

Roll Tide, Bucky! Really wish I could find that 74 FSU game for you. Thanks for what you did for the University and the team.

The Liberty Bowl and the Sun Bowl are my favorite of the "minor" bowls. Both do the games well. Tons of tradition. Not that I would want Alabama to have a mediocre year, but if they ever did, I would love to see them in Memphis again. El Paso is out of the question now that they have Big10 and Pac12 ties.

Sad how the Liberty Bowl is so much worse than it used to be. You would never see two ranked teams in that bowl today, much less the #7 team.

I'm just curious was this taken from a VTR? Or Betamax? I enjoy viewing all your game highlights.

    • @BamaRewind
      @BamaRewind  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

It's VTR. Betamax would have held up better, but was just too expensive. It was like 1300 bucks at the time, which would probably be equivalent to at least 6k now.

36-6 over UCLA. UCLA has not won shit since. Alabama 1976 until now has 78/79/92/09/11/12/15/17 in National Titles. 8 NC since.

Another example of the UAT classless football program run by the drunken Bear. Scoring with twenty five seconds left instead of falling on the ball and killing the clock. The Moose is appalled.

Duke Moose Another California team getting their butts whipped by the Tide. But at least this score was a little closer than the USC game. You're pathetic...RTR!

Hard not to score vs a high school team. UCLA would have been a 4-7 team in the SEC.
