      That sounds like a lot of fun! We only found peace and dames that day. There is always more to explore! Thanks for watching! 🙂

    I need to check this out one day. Great sharing 👍

      Thanks! It was definitely worth the visit. There are many more caves in the area but they are less known unless you have a map. We plan to return some day to see more! The trails alone are worth the hike. We recommend using the official parking instead of the area in which we parked as it was a little more dangerous due its location next to the highway. Thanks for watching! 😎

      It was incredible. We were just as surprised to learn that this was a place. We had passed many times but never stopped until now. Thanks for watching! 😁

    Wow, been in Florida my entire life and I’ve never known about this. And I’m only 30 minutes away from it! I’ll have to check it out sometime

      We drove down this road a hundred times and always saw the cars parked on the side of the road but knew nothing about it. The caves are really fun and worth a visit!

      It was amazing inside! We only had the one light, so we could only go so far. Thanks for watching! 🙂

    Visited Dames Cave last year and enjoyed it. Went back at a later date looking for Peace Cave and got lost... 😂

      Once you see Dames cave make a left on the trail. There is a giant peace sign on the tree. Really neat but can be hard to get down into the cave. Definitely bring a flashlight. Next time you go try using your gps on your phone. Sometimes that can be accurate. Thank for watching and Good Luck!

    Excellent quality video! Great exploration...My wife and I are going there for very 1st time on 9/17/2022 leaving at 6am to be there around 8am. from Clearwater. You guys should venture out to see the "Wildlife Nature Preservation" off 142nd Ave. in Clearwater Beach area!! If you haven't already. That's nice too with a small public gallery display thing of wild life and some exotic frogs etc. Also many turtles in the pond, and walking trails through and around the large cages Eagle bird, and snakes...many other reptiles, and best part it's totally FREE!

      It sounds like a lot of fun! Don't forget a small flashlight. Peace cave is very dark. Have fun exploring!

    6:47 that cave has collapsed btw

    • @FloridaandBeyond
      @FloridaandBeyond  ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, that is a shame. This video was filmed in 2021. At least we got to explore it before it collapsed. Thanks for watching! 🙂

    • @YAOG
      @YAOG ปีที่แล้ว

      So these caves can just collapse at any time? That sounds a bit unsafe. Or was it a fluke?

    • @FloridaandBeyond
      @FloridaandBeyond  ปีที่แล้ว

      @YAOG it is nature. Any caves can collapse at any time. They would close them off to the public if they become too unsafe. It all says enter at your own risk, just like scuba diving inside caves. We showed you inside, so you don't have to go. Just watch the video, lol.

      @@FloridaandBeyond Hey, I have no problem with a little danger, I just assumed they might be checked occasionally for structural integrity. I was just a little surprised that's all.

    • @FloridaandBeyond
      @FloridaandBeyond  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it is all at your own risk. I am sure the county looks at the structure every once in a while. We haven't been there in 2 years, so changes are possible.

    I don’t know about dry caves but as a cave diver I think people shouldn’t penetrate a cave like that without proper safety gear. Just my thoughts

    • @FloridaandBeyond
      @FloridaandBeyond  ปีที่แล้ว

      This is a dry cave with tons of people there. It is nothing like swimming inside a cave. There were all different ages there enjoying the day.

    I went today, but I did not go down into the caves.

      They were amazing when we went. Someone said they weren't both still there. It has been 2 years since we visited this area. Thanks for watching!
