How to Create a Keyhole Card…. It’s Easier Than You Think!

- A Keyhole Card has an opening in the card front that allows you to see to the inside of the card. There are several ways to do this, starting with a basic card base and layer of DSP or cardstock. Choose a punch or die that will cut a solid shape, like a window, add a focal point and you are done! See how easy it is here and then go to StampWithLorraine.com for more information.

I love your card. It’s genius with the punch and perfect for a travel project, which I need for this weekend. I also love the idea of embossing the strip of white. What a difference that makes in terms of focal point as well as adding interest & texture. Great video Lorraine. Thanks.

I’m new to cards-as in baby, squinting new! I LOVE, as an Aussie, the calm way you describe and show what you do. I really like the banner punch ? I don’t have a die cut machine & will wait awhile before I move to that option? I like how you show HOW to match up the interior pattern/window. ❤ from Brisbane. 🇦🇺❤️
Aw, thank you so much for your kind compliment! I'm glad you enjoy the tutorials and hope they continue to inspire you as you begin your stamping journey. Take baby steps and work on just a few things at a time. Otherwise, it can all be overwhelming, and you will not feel successful. Start with just stamping, then add some punches, then you can get into embossing and die cutting. Going to have to try these!! So interesting. The yellow card with hello where you added the purple & green piece with the flowers on top, made me think of a yellow wall with a shelf and a bouquet of flowers standing on thebshelf. Lovely.

I never knew tacky glue could be used as a temporary adhesive and your idea of tying the ribbon round the glue dots was ingenious.
