      Depending on where you live it can germinate sooner they do better in warmer climates. Where I live it is usually 90 degrees in the summer and they would do better and your odds of getting fruit are more optimal. If you take care of the plant it will take care of you and you are more likely to get fruit sooner. I had a friend that had more give fruit in a year. They are worth having in the yard and they add shade I love them I have two in my yard.

    I love the music it has such emotion. It’s perfect for the sacredness of bringing a new life form to this reality. It made me tear up actually because I love plants so much. They are my closest friends in this life. I’ve always had a special gift - - I can sense their emotions and they do have them. Their roots are just like our brains and it’s being proven now as we speak. My heart is broken by all the burning trees and forests being brutalized in the worst ways possible. Families being ripped apart and burned alive and the remaining plants dying of loss; which actually happens... This music really makes me feel it. That tree that now towers over you will always think of you as a father. It no doubt looks up to you... even as it stands over you. Plants are sacred to me they are just like us animals... I just wish for a world where we could live in peace with our green brothers. Sadly everyone denies it because of the implications of knowing the truth. Spread the truth like I have to you... that coconut palm loves you. Your are it’s daddy... because it probably never knew it’s real father. Nurture it forever because without plants we will all die...

      You’re a total weirdo just like me lol I am an atheist but I found religion in my garden edit: at my school, they put an ekg on a plant and it knew when someone walked in the room they are absolutely conscious and actually they have more senses than we do. I have major depression and my plants are the only things that can instantly cheer me up. I can feel like I am about to drop dead from fatigue and I step outside and stand next to my plants and talk to them and they talk back they tell me what they need and they give me energy. I don’t know how to explain it but humans aren’t meant to be locked inside. Our health depends on our connection with nature.

    I'm going to try & grow them 150-160 kilometres north of Sydney in Australia,the problem being my location is humid subtropical but not tropical meaning that our winters fall below their 20°C minimum requirements.
    We rarely get below double digits during the day during winter time (our last 2 Winters got down to a minimum of 11°C during the day & about 2°C during the night).
    Our Winters have got shorter & our summers have got longer over time because in mid November we're experiencing 36-38°C days already although it's only about 25°C today.
    We're slightly warmer than Sydney but some people who grow coconut 🥥 palms there have had them die back,the most south they have been seen over here in bigger numbers is the far north coast of New South Wales near the Queensland border.
    I wouldn't think that they would be grow outdoors during winter in Melbourne in Victoria either !

      Give it a try, I live in Argentina and the climate in my province is mild, sometimes too cold in winter yet various species of palm trees here grow with no problem, and we don't lose anything doing a bit of an experiment haha

    • @victorjre
      @victorjre 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yup, agree with KornUrbano. Try and see. However, don't keep your hopes too hight and don't commit much resources until you finish a good 5 years test

    • @elhajjmalikel6266
      @elhajjmalikel6266 ปีที่แล้ว

      Humid subtropical can yield coconuts. I live in Central Florida. We are climate zone 9B, which is the borderline of where you can really start growing tropical fruit. Coconuts grow on the coasts in Central Florida, and that is also zone 9B. Central Florida, and most of Florida, is humid subtropical, but coconut trees grow very well in these regions. So you shouldn't have any difficulties.

    Very interesting to watch. I live in the UK. I suspect the conditions are not right in my country for this, but can I ask: - Could you sprout a store-bought coconut, that has been imported, using this method? Am I right in thinking I would need tropical temperatures to make it grow, as it would not sprout in a colder climate? I thought coconuts trees had to grown near a water source - is that right? I am wondering if I can buy a coconut with the husk still on over here in the UK. Does anybody know?

    • @jimthomas777
      @jimthomas777 4 ปีที่แล้ว +23

      The coconut is just a seed , a big seed but still just a seed , follow the same method as this video and your seed will grow , if you live in a cold climate then grow it inside in a big flower pot next to a window with plenty of sunshine , I have a apple tree , peach tree , pear tree and soon a coconut tree , I take them outside in the summer and back inside during the winter , if you can't find a big flower pot , a plastic trash can works just fine , just fill with dirt instead of trash

    • @mattbuszko
      @mattbuszko 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I suspect finding one with the husk still on could be quite tough in the UK. But, yes, you should be able to use the (brown/mature) one from the store. Make sure it sounds like there's water inside when you shake it.
      I don't think it needs to live near a water source. They just always grew on the beach because they are nature's little explorers :) As one falls off a tree, it can end up in the ocean and bob around for a few months until it washes up on another shore. Plus, on plantations, they are planted near water for 1) easy watering, and 2) easy harvesting/transporting. They cut them down, drop them in the water or a boat, and then move them to the next place they need to go

    • @iconickid2397
      @iconickid2397 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can grow these in the UK in Spring and Summer by placing them in direct sunlight and watering thm often to create moisture and the tropical climate the coconut needs to grow but during Autumn and Winter my best suggestion is to place them by a window that gets the most sunlight or shine a plant lamp over it

    • @elumalaik1540
      @elumalaik1540 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The one you buy from shop won't sprout. The fully ripe coconut that falls from the tree only will sprout in the right conditions. And it is not necessary coconut tree needs to be grown near water source.

    While the coconut is soaked in water, should I keep it in or away from the sun?

      Keep it in a shady area with no direct sunlight.

    Do you have to de husk it I read somewhere that you shouldn’t . I’m quite intrigued.. the embryo is well within the hard coat but many people say dehusking kills it ..why ? Is it a myth . Can someone clarify

    • @haharmageddontv6581
      @haharmageddontv6581 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well clearly dehusking was fine here

    • @johnwaltersalas93
      @johnwaltersalas93 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Growing coconut with the husk is better than this. Dehusking without water in that plastic bag will kill it. Because a temp rise will cause it to crack open. The purpose of that water is to keep it cool.

    I bought a small coconut tree twice and it died instantly within a week or two. Still clueless to why it died that fast. I'm thinking it's very sensitive to overwatering.

    • @ritupawar314
      @ritupawar314 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      for the new plant it needs semi sun light and proper manure, once it starts growing add manure for every 15-30 days and make sure it received enough sunlight! i planted mine over an year ago, one thing i observed is the growth will reduce if proper soil and manure is not given.
