Guys, Haiti is right in our back yard. The worst things get there it easily spills over into Jamaica. Nothing wrong with helping them with troops. The troops we sent have never been able to bring our crime rate down so dem can gwone. This Crime monster that has reached a pandemic level is still obviously getting worse daily. Crime and Gangs have always been bad in Jamaica through tribalistic politics from the 70s onward. Crime has further evolved when the drug trade was enhanced in Jamaica and Jamaica became a main transit hub from Columbia to the world. Presently Crime and Gangs have further evolved when Scamming was introduced to Jamaica and each scammer went on to create even more Gangs and also strengthened the illegal shipments of guns into Jamaica.
Laws and policies from the 60s and 70s cannot control these fast growing and extremely vicious criminals of today. The youths seeing all this illegal money making methods and getting overwhelmed to join Gangs as protection further strengthens these Criminals. Much better laws and policies are immediately needed to tackle illegal shipments of guns, scamming, drug trafficking and the paying off of public sector workers to turn a blind eye and collect money.
