Hi. i'm new to vinyl and new to buying and don't consider myself a "collector" yet.. If I don't like the music, I don't buy it for collecting alone. It was interesting that in the video you said that if you were keeping it for yourself you would have kept it in the plastic wrap with the "hype sticker" on it.. Question (a) Do you keep the plastic wrap on your newly acquired records, meaning ones you are wanting to open and listen to not just ones you buy to store away in a vault and never play (b) Do you do that even with gatefold ones which means you can't see the inside of the fold and finally , the big question, I've been seeing a general conclusion that cutting one side of a wrap causes the paper sleeve to warp due to plastic shrinkage over time (typically not an issue with analog production vinyl since their plastic cover is oversized)? What have you concluded around all this and now would recommend to someone who is into records for listening and would like to maintain the value of my records into the future.
Really, even Avocado? I see how Backspacer and Lightning Bolt could be one and done (even though I disagree personally), but Avocado is solid solid stuff. I suggest revisiting.
The album mostly sucks. Ed is now an older, jaded millionaire sitting in his mansion preaching he knows government while he has 24/7 security. The gas station Ed, the dating Beth of hovercraft Ed, is gone. Ed got rich, found his model girlfriend, and has put out complete crap for 5-7 records. His voice is gone due to the cigs. His next album should be called "The boy called Almost."
Brett Sadler, no doubt. Really authentic hearing these guys preach about anthropogenic climate change. They’re all geniuses and I immediately accept whatever they have to say as gospel. Which is what it is. It’s gospel.
I would normally take time to stop and call you out for reducing a woman you’ve never met to Ed’s “model girlfriend” because it’s dehumanizing and sexist, but I realize you’re probably in federal custody after raiding the capitol with your fellow incel proud boys a few weeks ago and won’t see this comment.
