You're on this video because you are special. Not in a grandiose way. You are special because you engage with your higher purpose when others do not. You are making a huge effort. Be proud of yourself and keep getting better!
Thank you so much for your kind words! It’s incredibly motivating to hear that. Engaging with our higher purpose is a journey that takes courage and perseverance, and it’s comments like yours that remind us why we keep pushing forward. I appreciate your encouragement and hope we all continue to support and inspire each other. Keep striving and growing!
I agree it should apply all the way around and I'm a man. Also, if you look at the face of all these men or most men and women that have endured a lot of stress but didn't express it have very droopy stressed out looking faces. Their face looks stressed. Know if you can learn to not let things bother you even on the inside then I think these things are applicable but I don't think holding in emotions or feelings or important opinions when you need to express them is not good for your health hence the worn out face. Even my body has aged cause of stress since I've been older trying to be more stoic and what I've found is that you truly have to not feel bothered rather than controlling your rage you shouldn't even feel rage or feel threatened by bad people around us. It takes a toll on us any way you slice it. Life is tough even if it's easy.
Interesting, l didn’t see the male specific demographic. I’m a devout supporter of the stoic philosophy and when l think man l only see human. I wish you continued success in your growth.
The Stoics didn't differentiate man v woman, rather human. Some videos lean to the YX. gene but the theory is human including XX. Good luck on you Stoic journey ❣️
When kindness was the only way I felt "loved" by my parents, friends and other family, it's no wonder I became a doormat throughout school years. But as a wise saying goes, the burnt hand teaches the best. Thank you for uploading these Stoic teachings, they make clear what I have been suspecting for years now.
“It is essential for you to remember that the attention you give to any action should be in due proportion to its worth, for then you won’t tire and give up, if you aren’t busying yourself with lesser things beyond what should be allowed.” - Marcus Aurelius
I love this,I've been struggling with getting better I love the part where it says 'be obsessed with getting better ' is the best words I have ever heard to getting better.
I haven't even listened to it yet but you caught my attention when you said a setback I learned over life closest friend every setback is a setup for come back if you can look up you can get up and move on and go to the next challenge don't run from a challenge be like a gladiator a gladiator in Roman days bring it on we're getting knocked down again but guess what I'm going to get up when I look up I can get up give me a break society what the most important thing I learned listen what's going on around me and use my mind take challenges with my mind like a chess player can you make your move I'm going to make my move
Becoming a better you is an invitation for others becoming a better self too. I always try counting my blessings not my problems and I encourage you in doing that too. Remember when counting your blessings, count yourself too. You make this world a better place. Thanks for being you!
Yes, Very helpful to everyone. I have gained enough self-confidence and added more courage to my character, so much so---I would now like to meet the "pretty surgical babe" who made a comment here, certainly, you must be intelligent enough to appreciate a wise man like me. Thanks, Warren Stewart
Thank you stoic teachings I found that today's lesson will help me on my path to discovering my true purpose and also moving forward with my life. To live for me and not others.❤
Great video! Here's a detailed summary: Question Your Own Limits: Challenge complacency and strive for growth. Be Obsessed with Getting Better: Focus on continuous improvement. Pour Your Heart into It: Commit fully to your endeavors. Stay on Your Path: Remain steadfast despite distractions. Don’t Focus on Outcomes: Concentrate on your efforts, not results. You Attract What You Embody: Cultivate virtues to shape your life. Embrace the Challenge: View obstacles as opportunities for growth. Do What Little You Can: Focus on small, consistent actions. Change Your Definition of Success: Value personal growth over external achievements. Avoid Seeking Approval: Live by your principles, not others’ validation. Reject Distractions: Prioritize your values and goals. Let It Go with Indifference: Accept what you cannot control and focus on what you can.
Thank you for the help in helping me discover how to take control of my life although I am learning and discovering things about myself I still need to practice patience and I am growing but I am remaining open minded to change and open to new ideas.
So happy I started my self development young. I can vouch this Truth from server trauma x3 by age 7 I was able to form the thoughts explained here to transform and find the gifts that came from it.
You right ! I be thinking the samething he was ahead of his time & when you follow Marcus words it’s life changing…studying stoicism has change my life
Unfortunately, I don’t have any memories of being loved by them. But, from that experience, I’ve learned how important it is to give love to my own children. The love I have for them is unbreakable.
Apply these methods: focus on the present moment, set clear intentions, cultivate resilience, maintain self-discipline, seek continuous improvement, accept what you cannot change, learn from failures, prioritize virtue, practice gratitude, stay humble, seek, wisdom and example
Living with passion, integrity, and commitment to one's values is central to Stoic philosophy, urging individuals to give their all to their pursuits and relationships.

I believe, and try to live by all the virtues that are expressed in these teachings. However I'm not actually sure if it's a human narrating. kind of sounds like an AI generated voice, as it pronounce several words in a manner in witch no human speaking any language would. Any thoughts?
See every challenge as an opportunity for growth. Stoicism teaches us to turn difficulties into strengths by changing our responses instead of our circumstances, focusing on continuous improvement, and living according to our core values.
I completely understand how you stand on morality…. Accountability & no man or woman should speak on the next person. Sounds like they’re saying you might have to take a bullet for a shot that wasn’t meant for you. Right?
If AI is so smart, why can’t it get the correct pronunciation of basic words? 🤔🤔 Also, the 12 principles could be consolidated into 4 or 5 since there is so much overlap and repetition. Good info, just hard to stay tuned in due to all of the repeated points.
