    Top tip we were given was to use semolina flour instead of plain flour on the pizza shovel and surface when preparing the pizza, stops it from sticking to shovel and pizza doesn't then taste floury 👍 great toppings, enjoy 😊

    Little tip. The temperature of your oven should be around 200c or 392f. Industrial ovens should be a lot higher at around 450c or 842f. Also dust the metal tray prior to making your pizza and if you want semolina on your dough, sprinkle it onto the dough and knead in. 👍

    That was fun! Like you said, trial and error. Soon enough, your neighbors will be knocking the door, trying to put in a pizza order. I think the bit of liquid on Mazzie's pie was the water that came out of the tomatoes as they were baking. It all looked delicious. To make up for Neil's dinner delay, just make him two. One to eat and one to freeze for another day. Good stuff.

    Good job on the pizzas with that new oven. what a great way to make a really fresh pizza and the more you use it the easier it will get. Those last two looked really good will all the topping I could just eat one of those now. 🍕

    Use corn meal on the bottom when making pizza. It will slide right off. You don't need much. Edit- Getting the best result from pre-made dough is to let it sit in a container with plastic wrap for at least 2 hours before you use it from the fridge. Let it rise, pop it then let it rise for another 30 minutes before you form it into a pizza. Cold dough does not like to rise or stretch and it will be tough & flat.

    its a pizza peel the metal slide thingy. put semolina.. not flour.. grainy semolina.. on the peel then the stretched dough and it slides off. its like little ball bearings and it tastes lovely when cooked. its what dominoes pizza uses. great vid. bon appetite x

    Pizza's looked good. The butter on the pizza will burn, use a bit of olive oil with your herbs or garlic powder instead. After you prepare your crust on the cutting board or wherever, slide it onto the pizza tray but first put some semolina or corn meal on the pizza tray then your crust will slide right off into the oven.

    Those pizzas look amazing. I agree those you make at home on an oven like that blow the commercial takeaway ones out of the water. How about making some chilli oil to drizzle over the top for a bit of spiciness, or honey maybe on a pineapple one. Lots of experiments can be done with that oven!

    Fantastic video Dan/mazzy .I'm with you deffo put in when it's cooled alittle bit .Dan the meat feast looked Bostin mate my stomach was rumbling lol..I think when you've made the base before you load it put more flour on the tray thing and they will slide off easy then when you put them in the oven. But I'm well impressed with that guys bloody brilliant.welldone

    Great video its a learning curve, we were told to use semolia to stop it sticking to the paddle 260c to 300c , we tried and failed because or webber BBQ with pizza stone couldnt get above 170c after 3 trys, well done on your first try better than us after 3, we are arriving for three nights Tuesday we'll give you a wave 👋

    Used to work in a pizza shop when i was 15.. never use raw meat! Oil the shovel! See if you can get 12" shallow pie tins to finger your dough into! We used to put tomato 1st a scratching of cheese,toppings then more cheese! The meat feast looked lush! Hungry now!👍

    If you want to save a bit of cash you can use Passata on your pizza base instead of more expensive pizza sauces. It`s only 60p a box (can be stored in a cupboard until needed) and will do multiple pizzas. You can also make your own pizza dough with just Greek yoghurt (1 cup)and self raising flour (1 cup)= 1 large base.🙂

    I don’t know what Pepperoni Dough & Co use but they sold it (like a shop sells groceries) during lockdown on its own with other ingredients and wish I’d have took a screenshot of it or that they sold it now still 😂 it’s lovely it’s very bacon-y and not overly spicy & I can’t find a decent pepperoni anywhere. I get their £8 kids pepperoni pizza for takeaway occasionally 😂

    Dan make your own dough. Heat at 350-400 ok. Turn half way through but have mazzy hold door pizza out spin back in and door back on as quick as possible. Always have flames licking the top of oven. Keep paddle floured so it slides off and into the oven.

    I had a pizza stone for the oven & they suggested sprinkling corn flour on the pizza peel so the pizza will slide off easier. I hope this helps you out.

    I did smile with your watering can to the ready, you do need it , but it just made me laugh, getting it all ready etc. haha I can see you will be having all the campers coming for a bit. Even the dogs want a bit. Hehe think it was the butter running that caused the fluid. Maybe it’s in the oven to far back, never used one of these ovens so I have. No idea , just my thoughts. Hehe is the temp gauge in F deg and one in C that may account for the temp difference. You both did brill for your first attempt I am sure it will get easier the more you do, maybe you need to pop the oven on a brick build stand for safety. The only help I can offer sadly Not much help maybe at all.
    Just check if both temp reading are in either C or F even. Ore so with the second one being that much better. You can even get your garlic granules in Lidl , or Tesco in the dried herb and spice area.

    450°C can not be right - it will simply burn the dough. I think even 300°C is high ... cooking needs time to develop taste.

    Pizza making definitely the guys task, you can buy 00fine flour yeast salt and oil and water and make your own, so cheap and tasty and very nice social activity. Good fun watching you experiment with the oven.

    You need to get some semolina flour to put under your base to stop it sticking to the metal spatula and to stop it sticking to the pizza stone

    You only have the lid on to get to temperature and then remove lid, then you can watch and cook the pizza to your requirements. X

      Not with a wood chipping pizza oven you don't. The drawer front needs to be on to get the flames to go through the entire oven.

      The most important thing to remember is that the door should always remain off if you are using flames to cook in your wood fired oven. This is because the oxygen from the outside air feeds the fire and ensures flames, which is what you need if you are having a pizza party. 14 Apr 2016
