Freddie really was something else. Today is impossible to even think of this. You have 3 people from 3 different bands all inducted into the Rock Hall of Fame. :P Def Leppard, Queen, Guns N Roses. To be fair this concert was crazy, probably the greatest gathering of musicians that ever happened , and Freddie deserved it :)

Wow what a show. In New Zealand, this was simulcast live on TV and radio. There was 17 year old me with stereo on one side Video on other, hands poised over pause buttons to get rid of pesky commercials! What an experience! This is 92, look at the improvement in stadium shows compared to Live Aid in 85. FYI Metallica play Enter Sandman earlier in the show. Also, John played a couple more small gigs with Brian and Roger (Elton John on vocals) but no more concerts, and of course, recorded the Made in Heaven album before retiring in 97.

Slash And Brian may look like a big haired father-son reunion… Also Slash half British….
Yes John Deacon retired a few years after this.

Def Leppard was the hottest band at the time and they were from the UK. Brian May wrote this song. Guns & Roses were a little controversial also at this time with their feelings about Freddie's gay lifestyle. And Slash and Axl weren't getting along during this time. Actually this was the first song at the second half of the concert. Great Reaction. Def Leppard had a hit "Pour Some Sugar on it". There is a live version with Freddie at Wembley and at 1981 in Montreal.

This is the second half of the show, Queen didn't come till halfway. First half is other bands playing a mix of their own and Queen songs. Metallica, GnR, Extreme, Def Leppard all have their own sets.
