Hi Tim! I was one of the cast members that stopped and said hello when you stopped by yesterday. First: thank you for visiting! I just wanted to mention some of the questions you had about some of the menu: With the mango coconutmilk milkshake with pomegranate molasses syrup - it is made with coconut milk! It’s one of the few plant based, dairy free milkshake options provided at Disney World. The Café open kitchen does make the same bread of the Mediterranean burger, and also makes all of the Starbucks pastries. It will also make another dessert that should be coming soon! If anyone else has other questions I’ll happily hop back in and answer for you everyone. Cheers!
I think the Trackers should book a full week vacation in WDW where they try to navigate the parks and Genie+ as if they were out of towners. Book a hotel, make their park reservations, pay for Genie+ to do as much as they can each day just like I, and many others, would!
the "science experiment" is a japanese matcha tea set. you use the bamboo stick to scoop the green tea powder into the bowl, add hot water and then use the whisk on the left to quickly mix the tea into a froth.
I know Tim was looking for outdoor seating but I think because they're using reusable dishes that maybe they don't want you to be taking them outside. Also I get a kick outta Tim's hunting for USBs
Satuli’s over at animal kingdom also has reusable dishes but has a small outdoor seating section. I think due to the festival kitchens that tend to pop up nearby this location they perhaps don’t want people taking up the outdoor seating for festival dishes which are meant more to be a grab and go? That’s my best guess.
I have to say how much I have enjoyed watching your videos over the years. You are so informative and always well groomed. You get excited when you go to the parks and always know all the characters names and interact with them with genuine joy. I always get a big smile when you are on the rides and I hear the “Weeeeeee”! Jen and Jackson just make it even better! Hope you continue to do this for years to come. Thank you both!
Another great video guys. I just wanted Tim to know that pomegranate molasses doesn't contain molasses. It's just cooked down pomegranate juice until it becomes thick like molasses. Real Grenadine syrup is made with pomegranate molasses.
jeann i love how you edit these. you have gotten SO good at what you do. i love how you had tim's commentary over his bites of food. it makes it flow really nicely!
4:57 is a set to make matcha tea. You measure the matcha with the wooden “stick” and then add it to hot water in the bowl. You then use the whisk (on the stand) to mix the matcha. You then drink the tea from the large bowl you mixed it in.
That drawing on the floor, , harkening back to Walt's video of EPCOT, was pretty cool. Too bad it's wasted on the floor of a Starbucks. (Only partly kidding). And you're right, Tim - having that "coffee display" in there would be greatly helped (and very educational, which is what Epcot's SUPPOSED to be about, still, right?) by having some explanatory cards or something by the object. That seating area in Connections looked VER crammed-in, even Pre-Covid thinking, I would NOT want to sit most places there! I agree about that gorgeous mural calling back to the halcyon Disney Days of old, and that makes me very happy to see that. Love the water bottle filler, and love to see Coke Zero "on tap" too, - MUICH better than Diet Coke, MUCH more flavor! Nice touch with the non-slide trays - VERY much needed! The Medittannean Burger looked good. I can't stand Brie, and can't eat onions, so that one didn't look good to me, but I'm glad you enjoyed it so much. Nice to see so many charging opportunities, especially since you're pretty much FORCED to use your Smart Phone in the Parks these days to be able to do ANYTHING. Now if only they could make the WiFi more reliable, and fast! Socially distanced hugs to the 3 of you from New Jersey. Stay strong, stay positive, stay healthy!
In Belgium we have ‘Brussels’ waffle ( the light, fluffy one for dessert or breakfast ) and the Liége’ one ( harder with sugar pearls - we buy them mostly packaged). Both are names from cities. Brussel is the capital, Liége is in the Wallonie area. It’s pronounced something like ‘lgijgjze’ . Greetz from very late night Flanders/Belgium
GOOD AFTERNOON TIM (Hi Jenn, who makes the magic happen behind the scenes!) The video was Excellent in showing us the New "Connections" restaurant!!🏰! Have A Magical Day Everyone!!! 🏰
I LOVE this new Quick Service restaurant already! I love the Concept: Open Kitchen,More Space,More Food Options,etc...instead of a "Basic" Disney Quick Service. Love the fact that they have USBs,etc as well. Food seems really tasty & I will have to say "Great Job Disney!".
I love that they are utilizing sustainable utensils and dishware! Hopefully they can utilize that in some other parts of the park as well and cit down on waste. It would be an adjustment, but guests would get used to it!
Wi-Fi rolling pin😂😂priceless. I will visit that rolling pin next week when I come Epcot because of you Tim!! Thanks for your extensive and amazing videos!!
Personally, I hated the outside seating of the Electric Umbrella. It was hot and the air did not flow in that spot. Plus, you had to listen to the speaker give bird sounds to help prevent the other birds from going into the eating area.
So glad to see that Connections is a major upgrade to what Electric Umbrella used to be. A liege waffle is a yeast-based enriched dough (kinda like what you get on the outside of a Boston Creme doughnut). But instead of deep frying it, they coat it in the pearl sugar and throw it on a waffle iron. So a great liege waffle kinda tastes like a light bread donut covered in the caramelized sugar you get on the top of a creme brûlée. Can’t wait to try it!!!
Every Disney vlogger has been wondering about the Mexican coffee pot lol. Tim traditionally in Mexico it’s called cafe de olla, (coffee from a pot). It’s cinnamon flavored coffee. But also in these it’s traditional for Mexican hot chocolate.
Looks like a great edition to Epcot. I love the map on the floor! When we went we got stuck in a storm that lasted around 6 hours but I was glad we got to go on Ratatouille and Frozen before that started. Such a beautiful park. So grateful for your videos, you guys treat us!! ☺️
There is a place I see online called Ancient Coffee LLC, Orlando. Maybe at some point you can visit to see if they can explain how coffee is made in other countries or years ago using some of the pots from Cafe Connections 🌺🧡
I really like this. You showed this really well in the video. I have seen the Twitter comments about it looking too sterile and a cafeteria vibe, but I don't agree. I really love this. I love the look of it. WS has many unique themed places to eat, this place is for the basics. I really like how big it is, those circle art things hanging from the ceiling are very cool. I can't wait to get there in person.
Beautiful mural, the displays and designs are all very well done and feel like EPCOT. I will miss Electric Umbrella but I understand why it had to go. It's a good change.
Liege waffles are the best. The pearl sugar melts inside so it’s like syrup inside the waffle. Got one in Belgium 40 years ago and it wasn’t till 2 years ago I found out when I went back to Belgium. I brought back a bag of the sugar to make them.
This place is amazing. As a pastry chef I enjoy being able to see into kitchens, but I don't often enjoy being on the other side of the glass. I can tell you, the first machine you looked at in the bakery side, the one in the corner closest to you, was a chocolate tempering machine. Which make sense why it is so close to a viewing audience. People do love to watch chocolatiers at work (speaking from experience).
Oh and there is a sheeter so there could potentially be laminated dough in the future so things like croissants. Or they could just use it to roll out cookie dough or pie dough faster. They really set the kitchen up for anything.
Tim you are safe. The pandemic is no longer an issue.. Enjoy yourself.. Always enjoy all your videos for many years now....I adore Jackson.. So cute!! Thank you for all your Disney info..
When you asked “how do you make coffee”around 4:50 thats a mexican pot, we call it *olla* (pronounced like “oya”) thats the big one, the small one is a cup and is called *jarro* (pronounced “harro”). The coffee made there is called “cafe de olla” you can literally translate it as “coffee from the pot”. The recipe is very simple, water, cofee, piloncillo (or sugar) and cinnamon stick on the pot until they boil. There are some regions where they add other ingredients but thats much it. It’s delicious.
Great video. Will need to try the food on my next visit. Nice to see more water bottle refill areas. Love all the phone charging areas. My only question is, did the talking trash can from the Electric Umbrella make it back to this new quick service?
I’m glad you were able to enjoy eating inside! Once you and Jen are comfortable, you should try Citrico’s! It was renovated last July and is amazing!! I think you’d both really enjoy it! The highlights are the sweet corn bisque, mahi mahi, and the short ribs!!
Wouldn't it be fun at Starbucks if you could actually order coffee made from beans grown in the different areas of the mural? I know that wouldn't be practical but it would be so much fun trying the different brews.
I hope they keep that other smaller Starbucks stand. Is there some reason why they couldn’t/would and just have two stalls in the park?! The smaller one is a perfect fuelling-up location for those about to begin the anticlockwise trek around the world showcase…
The agreement is that there can only be one Starbucks location in each park so unfortunately the other stall went bye-bye. But I agree, I loved having it there before entering World Showcase.

Can you feed back about labels for the “coffee pot” display
Hi Tommy, was so nice to meet Tim yesterday.
Ohhhhh thank you for making my day!! I’m a dairy allergic mango FAN!! I will be trying this in May 🥰
Awesome new dessert option for those who can’t have dairy!
Hi Tommy - do you know if there are any plans to offer a plant-based burger (e.g. beyond or impossible)? Thanks!
I think the Trackers should book a full week vacation in WDW where they try to navigate the parks and Genie+ as if they were out of towners. Book a hotel, make their park reservations, pay for Genie+ to do as much as they can each day just like I, and many others, would!
Love how Tim gets so excited about USB ports. It's the small stuff that Disney does so well.
the "science experiment" is a japanese matcha tea set. you use the bamboo stick to scoop the green tea powder into the bowl, add hot water and then use the whisk on the left to quickly mix the tea into a froth.
@@FunAtDisney No, I think that's a mate and a bombilla. It's to drink mate, an herbal drink made from yerba mate leaves.
Always enjoy a Tim solo visit to the parks. The 🐐 of Disney vlogging.
This looks awesome, with a bit of the old Epcot feeling, remembering Walt's vision, and the amazing futuristic look and feels!
I know Tim was looking for outdoor seating but I think because they're using reusable dishes that maybe they don't want you to be taking them outside. Also I get a kick outta Tim's hunting for USBs

I love Tim’s excitement when finding a usb plug 🔌! Great video. Thanks for sharing.

RIP Electric Umbrella. Connections looks really gorgeous! Also love Tim's passion for USB plugs
Another great video guys. I just wanted Tim to know that pomegranate molasses doesn't contain molasses. It's just cooked down pomegranate juice until it becomes thick like molasses. Real Grenadine syrup is made with pomegranate molasses.
I'm looking forward to seeing Jackson's first up-close interactions with characters since he was a tiny baby.
Based on other times he's been around characters, it kinda seems like he may be a bit nervous at first.
jeann i love how you edit these. you have gotten SO good at what you do. i love how you had tim's commentary over his bites of food. it makes it flow really nicely!
I thought the same
This makes my old nostalgic Epcot heart very happy. This is a win!!! ❤
I love all the details you provide when something new is happening at Disney. It makes you stand you from the rest of the vloggers. You're the best!
My husband designed the menu boards and light fixtures. I think they turned out great!
I laughed so hard when Tim said “Call me Mr Epcot, I have some ideas”. Lol
Me too!!!!!
Very impressive restaurant! Nobody describes food better!🍕thanks for taking me along😇

I'm so excited hugs are back! I got my very very very first hug from Mickey on Saturday in Magic Kingdom!!!!

Exactly this. Hi fellow Vlaming 😁
Les gaufres de liège c’est vraiment quelque chose ❤️

Jenn must crack up during editing with your fancy buns

The way Tim was so excited to see the water bottle filler.😂
Spent the whole video jamming to the Creations Music Loop. That playlist is 🔥!
Wow that place is huge! I love all the coffee and tea sets 😍
Give Tim a medal for eating inside, such a brave little soldier
.
The lighting and video quality looked so nice in this vid 😄Thank you for showing us all the pretty details!
You know when everything is good in the world when Tim finds USB plugs!!!!!!!!!
Personally, I hated the outside seating of the Electric Umbrella. It was hot and the air did not flow in that spot. Plus, you had to listen to the speaker give bird sounds to help prevent the other birds from going into the eating area.
That hidden Mickey looked like a hidden Minnie! The shapes between the ears reminded me of her bow ❤️
I bet Jenn would love that dessert cause it’s reminiscent of a strawberry shortcake!
So glad to see that Connections is a major upgrade to what Electric Umbrella used to be. Oh my the connection cafe is massive, it’s on my list , I’d like to have information about the coffee and tea pots as well.
If you ever come to Hershey Park in PA, You absolutely have to hit the Chocolatier! FANTASTIC food!
Tim your so impressed on the cafe ..
This place looks so good, and I love the vibes
You're the nicest guy Tim. Always upbeat and explains everything out Love watching!!
Looks amazing... cheers Tim

burger looks good! Our best quick serve burger is Geyser Point! Hands down best!
2:56 love the USB ports and plugs 🔌 under the seats
Awww. When Tim said “Mousegear” I got sad. 😢
Great job 👏 👍 👌 🙌 thank you
Beautiful mural, the displays and designs are all very well done and feel like EPCOT. I will miss Electric Umbrella but I understand why it had to go. It's a good change.
Beautiful day, beautiful view. 👍
Wow, looks good. Thanks Tim. So miss Disney
Leave it to Tim to find all the USB ports!!🤣 I love it!!! Thank you❤️
Liege waffles are the best. The pearl sugar melts inside so it’s like syrup inside the waffle. Got one in Belgium 40 years ago and it wasn’t till 2 years ago I found out when I went back to Belgium. I brought back a bag of the sugar to make them.
Amazing art on the cafe walls .
The lights look like the whisk from the traditional Japanese matcha set!!!!
The breezeway: "A lot of room for activities!" 😂 Love it!
The large hanging lamps in Connections Cafe resemble matcha tea whisks.
Starting a band called “fancy buns” now 😂⚰️👏🏼
"if you wanna make your bread look like wifi symbols." 😂

Is it wrong I said “monorail” out loud when it went passed at the end of the video??🤣
I found me in the video! Thank you Tim for the picture, made my day!
Cannot wait to try it out in May!
OMG! It’s beautiful!
It looks fine, but I’m partial to the 80’s-90’s look of electric umbrella. I’m not good with change lol
It looks like they have a chocolate tempering machine in the bakery 😏 , maybe some chocolate covered items coming soon ?
WOW LOOK AT THIS BROKEN USB PORT!
Well, you definitely made me want to try the food! Thanks for the video :D
"Mr. Epcot, call me, I have ideas.." Has me laughing so much and i dont know why😹
Thanks for the update! 🥳
Damn Tim! Good thing you're getting your steps in with all that food you're eating ha
Tim you are safe. The pandemic is no longer an issue.. Enjoy yourself.. Always enjoy all your videos for many years now....I adore Jackson.. So cute!! Thank you for all your Disney info..
I’ll tell Tim gets all excited about the USB plugs. Great video
Thanks for the information, I like it.
I would love to see a Tim’s bloopers video!! That would be fun
Love it! ☕️🥤🧋
Will be @ Disney in 11 days! Can’t wait to try this place. Thanks for a great review! 😎
Lots of reviews from this new option but I’m always going to watch Tim’s video and enjoy his review. Xx
You don’t have to explain that’s it’s okay to eat indoors anymore 🙏
When you asked “how do you make coffee”around 4:50 thats a mexican pot, we call it *olla* (pronounced like “oya”) thats the big one, the small one is a cup and is called *jarro* (pronounced “harro”). Thank you! I was curious about that one, too!
Thank you for responding! I was going through the feed to see if anyone beat me to it 😂! Tim & Jen would love cafe de olla! 😆
I was hoping you’d check out Connections!! Our next trip is in January 2023 & we’re definitely going to eat there. Thanks for the review 🙂
Great video. Will need to try the food on my next visit. Nice to see more water bottle refill areas. Love all the phone charging areas. My only question is, did the talking trash can from the Electric Umbrella make it back to this new quick service?

Love Love Love your tour!
Jen, great job editing!
i will always be jealous of all the food you get to try
Apart from the coffee pots, that displayed included mate gourds from Uruguay, Argentina, Paraguay, Brazil, and Chile.
All of the food looked amazing.
The French bistro burger was awesome.
I would have to save this massive 😃cafe is the highlight of the recent Videos.
UM THE SCIENCE EXPERIMENT IS ACTUALLY A TEA SET!
Wouldn't it be fun at Starbucks if you could actually order coffee made from beans grown in the different areas of the mural? I know that wouldn't be practical but it would be so much fun trying the different brews.
Love that you posted this at my lunch time so I can pretend I'm having lunch at Connections!!
Those are some fancy buns
I hope they keep that other smaller Starbucks stand. Is there some reason why they couldn’t/would and just have two stalls in the park?! The smaller one is a perfect fuelling-up location for those about to begin the anticlockwise trek around the world showcase…

Great review Tim 👏 👌 👍. Excited for our trip in June to check it out.
