Blitzway gave a damn with this set. Unpacking this thing was sheer Joy! I've never seen packaging this detailed; black velcro straps, plastic wrapping each and every single piece secured tightly.. Premium to the max! The display base for the lions alone is out of control. Quality!
Second set is on the menu, if I can swing it. Absolutely incredible work of art. Thank you for such a fun review 🙏🏿
As a child of the 80s I'm gobsmacked by this figure. Just amazing.
I'm not really into Voltron, but this set is utterly fantastic. So well done. That display stand with all the lions leaping is SO COOL. Blitzway, you have outdone yourselves with this! It seems worth every single penny.
That thing is absolutely crazy. I'm kind of shocked by the perfection of this. Just wow.
I like that the little figures are so detailed but also that they are all different molds instead of the same mold just painted differently.
Not ordering this set is taking every ounce of my willpower. This looks incredible. I hope someday there's a set of the Netflix reboot Voltron lions that's this nice, that design is *almost* as good as the original in my opinion.
I agree I love the Netflix design and the original they both are perfect for the time they were designed with the original being in the 80s with the blocky look and the new with a more anime look

Great review and congrats! IMHO I also believe this is the definitive Lion Force Voltron toy. Aside from the size and the great accessories, including the very well-done pilots, the stand/display base, the paint apps and materials used, the amazing articulation and the fact they got Voltrons crest right with the cross and the crown, the way this figure looks in Voltron mode just emits strength and awesomeness. I love the proportions of this robot. I am happy to say I too am an owner of one. I really had to scale back on just about everything to get it but I am glad I got it and frankly glad it was even released during these very tough economic times.
With that said I am sure you saw the upcoming Flame Toys Dino Megazord that will be released next year in September of 2023. That thing looks like a work of art. I already have it on pre-order and am starting to put some money aside for it. Thanks again for the review. BTW, we have been getting so many outstanding combining robots from the past I really wish someone gives us a modern, collector grade figure of Might Orbots. If they did that, my childhood dreams of owning a figure of that toy would finally come true. Keep up the great work!

Man this looks sick AF. Wonder if they'll do a repaint with white paint on the faces. This is the matchbox Voltron we imagined we had when we were kids.
This is the best representation of Voltron I've seen since the 80's when the original cartoon aired. I'm still hoping a live action adaptation will come out. Blitzway did a fantastic job with this and definitely shows it.

This does look incredible. Definitive as you said. But of the 80's one. I REALLY wish they would do this quality version of the Netflix Voltron. I just like the updated design, particularly the black lion's wings. What an amazing set!

I agree completely with EVERYTHING!! That u said about this figure. I had the original as a kid and loved it. Couldn't wait to get out of school and get home by 4:30 for the show to come on.
When you mounted the lions on the stand I just kept hearing the theme music in my head!

You're definitely right that had to be the best Voltron I have ever seen see I bought the original when I was little and the original was matchbox and he was articulated he was fully metal heavy as anything but this one even beats that so my hands off to the creator of this Voltron he's incredible

Can I say that this robot is your most impressive and mostly satisfying robot so far? This is out of every robot that you own.
The thing I'm most astounded by is the level of detail put into the tiny pilot figures, both in cockpit and stand-alone. They could have done either, or, or neither, and still made a top tier product, but they went the extra mile to not only sculpt and paint both, but to take the care needed to _get each character's proportions correct_.
I have never, in my life, seen that much effort put into that type of figure.
I might have to rethink the laptop I'm trying to save for.

This is a damn impressive set. There are a few things here and there that I could nitpick, but moment of that changes how impressive this is. When your video began I started thinking about how cool it would be if someone were to make a set that had cockpits and pilots that were an accurate scale. Then you show that these do in fact have that. I don't think any other set of lions has done that before. The fact that the pilot figures are painted is incredible. I think you're right that this is probably the best Voltron currently on the market.
I just spooged my pants. This was my favorite show and toy as a kid. I had the one toy bout half as tall as that one that was mostly plastic. I knew a kid who said he had Voltron toys and he brought out a bunch of cars and planes. I laughed and said ohhh you got the poor man Voltron. The shitty one the imitation. To us Voltron fans even in the 80s the lions were the true ONLY Voltron.
I wish they had optional Sven minis for the blue lion. Otherwise this is a fantastic set

I love him!!!! Oh God, how I love him! When I was little, I imagined myself as a Blue Lion pilot! I even dreamed about it!
Oh my God my God that thing is gorgeous. Yes the Chrome fantastic. The little miniature pilots OK it's OK the weapons very well done especially colored wise and they glisten. The extra movements great the icing on the cake is how the back legs disappear . God damn it I want it. And I already have 1 as well as the newer generation Volt
I could not agree more with your final opinion and statement. I am not a super fan of Voltron but I wanted him in my ultimate 80's robot collection and THIS is the best out there. I am really glad you got your review out, emgo. You really do very well with voicing and reviewing a figure and your reviews are very accurate to my tastes.
Now my dream would be to have this set and the Jin Bao Devastator both combined and battling each other...
I still have my Matty collector voltron and the 84 playmates Voltron. This blows them away!
this is what we called! well money spent! coz you didnt buy just because of the brand(which is most of the legit brand are expensive yet low quality), we buy because of the exact item or toys not by the famous brand! most of them are frankly speaking, we didnt satify on what we buy! like have issues, floppy paints & details. but this Voltron! eventhough i cant buy it but by the way it looks! THIS IS WHAT A TOY MUST HAVE!! calling all companies out there!! look at this work of art!! this is a Best example!!
I agree with you. This is the best and last one I'm buying too. I hope someone makes the pilots, at least, 6" figures as well.

I never buy toys without delving DEEP into the IP, but damn. This Voltron was an insta buy. Got two and I don’t know squat about voltron. Imo This is a masterpiece of a toy let alone a masterpiece Voltron. He is absolutely the crown jewel of my collection. It’s sad that he outdoes the other toys I have actual nostalgia for. I guess it goes to show how well executed this toy is. Truly a triumph and a celebration for collecting

So being a 90's kid, seeing the way the green/red lions transformed, my mind jumped to mmpr the movie because it made me think of how the wolf zord's torso opened up for the front legs to tuck away for arm mode
Hoping for the Voltron vehicle in this line so it will be the ultimate display for us!

I remember the 1984 voltron toy, 4 of the lions were diecast, black lion was plastic, and it was a pain to keep voltron from falling apart. I remember the legs falling off a lot when you picked up voltron.
This was one of my most favorite toys growing up. shit I want it back tbh.
Damn, this is the only Voltron set I would display with the separate lions because that display is dope. Is this worth more than double the price of the Tamashii Nation set though? Def no.

I absolutely love this Voltron action figure. I just got one minor nitpick with it. I absolutely love the peloton of Voltron I’m a huge fan of pitch Lance, princess, Alora, Keath, and hunk. I wish blitz way would have made the peloton, removable and articulable other than that Voltron is an absolutely beautiful and well-made figure.
It really is the best Voltron set, by a long shot. The ThreeZero Voltron looks to be very similar, but a little smaller - and cheaper. I'll be interested to see how that stacks up against the Blitzway. I'm always hesitant to say "This will never be improved upon!" because of course there will be new Voltron sets released in the future that will be even more cartoon accurate. For example, some manufacturer will find ways of hiding the legs completely. That will happen. However, if I had this Voltron I would never need to own another. And honestly, the legs showing doesn't look bad, at all. It actually gives the figure some visual pop in the arms.

Not being a big Voltron fan but remembering watching this back in the day. (I'm 59) I did remember that the green lion pilot was Pidge !
There are two tabs on the top rear of the base that come out too. Not sure yet what goes on them. they are on either side of the Black Lion stand's slot.
I purchased this as well and I have to agree. This will bury any other voltron on the market. My green lion has a slight imperfection, but I'm still very happy with it.
I was a huge fan of voltron when I was a kid and I gotta say....this set is marvelous! I might get actually get this voltron!

An amazing set. I just can do that price tag. Most I spent was $500 on MP-44 Prime. I just can’t do $700 on this. But Christ is this a divine set.

So threezero voltron is more CARTOON accurate than SOC voltron.
SOC voltron is TOY Accurate.
Chest of both threezero voltron and SOC voltron is the same.

Imagine if Blitzway/5Pro Studio team were to make the two other most major depictions of Voltron in this quality? (To clarify, I’m talking about the versions of Voltron from the two reboot series “Voltron Force” by Nickelodeon and “Voltron: Legendary Defender” by Netflix.)
Looking at the voltron force voltron trying to make a black lion with accurate legs that match up to voltron and the lion would literally be impossible without swamping out pieces

Well, after watching this review, it's a great Holy Grail piece for a Voltron collector. I was waiting for your "And for Comparison!..." but since it's so big, guess you couldn't stand this Voltron next to your others you have. Do you have the old one too? Oh and ThreeZero is coming out with this exact one half the price. 😁 But I respect 🙏 💯 that you not gonna get that one. 700 is a lot to shell out and not sure how TH-camrs like you could get so many things. But cool non the less. Just me rambling...😄
3zero one is not the same lol.. has some of the same tricks but smaller by far and totally different paint. If you look at photos almost everything is different.
STILL waiting for the Voltron Force version in where ANY lion can form the body and head.

I have the SOC version. As cool as the Blitzway is, it’s price point is just too much. And the SOC isn’t cheap either. I’m glad folks are enjoying this though. But the SOC is no slouch and weighs a bunch too. But the Blitzway is amazing regardless.

This is the best I've seen Go Lions! Voltron done, but I still can't help but wonder how one of the Masterpiece quality Transformers companies would do with a Voltron. How seamless would the guys that did Cell (unofficial Unicron) do with this? -HERETICPRIME
