Former Winnipeger now living in Hawaii but still call Winnipeg home! This video puts me right back there, love it and miss it- YES , for real, I do miss it.
@@SublimeSun666 I did travel nursing back in the 90's and Hawaii was one of my assignments - loved it and now settled here, no more winters! But still visit Winnipeg every summer to see family and spend time at the cabin in Winnipeg Beach. Miss it everytime I go back and it's been over 25 years.
I only spend 2 years there(now living in Vancouver). It has been one of the most relaxing and memorable times in my 30 years of life. I spend 10 years in SK before that, but I really don't miss it at all. haha. Winnipeg has a special charm I guess. I really wish I can go back there and visit it again.
Thank you for posting this video. I recently moved out of the country for work and Winnipeg is where I grew up, so when I really miss it I will throw this video on my TV and just let it play in the background while I work.
Agreed, it's sad how alot of people hate this city. Sure Winnipeg has its issues but what these people fail to realize is that every city also has their issues like homelessness, drugs, murder etc... but I still love Winnipeg
It's got a lot more going on than most North American cities that aren't small but aren't big . You can be who you want t in the Peg . We don't have the psychotic politics of the U.S but do have plenty of crime . Just lower than comparable American cities, but high compared to a lot of European cities . A lot of people here have kept much of their own traditions here , for example there's 70,000 Filipinos here who have adapted like few others here camping picnicking and fishing . It is really far more diverse compared to similar American cities geniuses of Canada's immigration policies.
Hey Sunday driver! I follow your work since you started and I would like to say that your videos inspire me to maybe move to Winnipeg. I currently live in Vancouver but everything here is expensive. I hope you can keep up with the good work!
Thank you for your encouragement. I can't travel far because of Covid 19, so I'm taking a break from video production. I pray that my daily life will be normalized as soon as possible.
Winterpeg I lived 7 years in winnipeg coldest place on earth but the people's are super friendly and I became friendly too ,nice video when miss winnipeg I watch this video thanks you
Beautiful driving tour, the street views and sunset are amazing. Love Minnipeg, thanks for sharing. New friend here, liked and subscribed, see you around soon👍
Really enjoyed this on one level. I usually like to drive around the city like yourself but because of traffic etc. have to pay attention. It's nice to get to play "passenger" for a change lol. One thing I've found rather depressing, and have noticed it on my drives is the lack of people around. This video confirmed what I had noticed.
That might just be the best driving video that I've seen of my town Winnipeg. No crappy music ,no dumb chit chat, just a beautiful summer's evening looking especially enchanting from February 2021 year two of the virus. Oh also that's an excellent camera you're using.
Kinda fun going for the ride. Left driving bus there for several years to come home to Vancouver to drive. Love the coast, but I go to Winnipeg often for family visits. Has it's nice qualities.
Love your videos!! Could you tell us where/how do you mount the camera in your car? And how do you capture the outdoor sounds? Perfect angle, sounds captured very well and hardly any reflection!!
Winnipeg hands down. Steadier, stronger economy given current global & national outlook. More affordable & finally better culinary/ cultural / artistic scene.
It's a good thing you did this on a Sunday night when the city is quiet. Doing this on a Saturday in Winnipeg is a different story. DO NOT move to Winnipeg thinking THIS is our roads!!! The city is soooooo not like this 99% of the time.
Hi, I really liked the tour! I'm appliyng to UofM, but after reading some negative comments about Winnipeg I'm not sure about getting too excited. Could you please tell me if it's safe around the campus? And does it affect the overall student experience?
@@kweqwequgtweqfq4694 If you want to wake up and see real stuff check out Kensington in Philadelphia, or other real hoods in other major American cities like Baltimore etc . Winnipeg has issues but it is much safer than most American cities IE Guns are not nearly as prevalent here . Kenosha would not have happened here .
Ah my hometown. Only if it were safe to walk out there at that time. Though I'm a big guy, I only walk at night if I have to. Heh, some drunks tend to think of me as a 'challenge' or that I'll give a 'good fight'. "No! Just leave me alone I'm only trying to lose this fat belly!"
use to live there in the early/mid 2000's. I am sure it has changed a lot. It's probably better. I know we all wanna say nice things here, but the people have a real arrogance to them. they think they live in L.A.
Downtown Winnipeg is much worse now than it was in the early 2000's. It's mostly homeless, drunk, meth addicted aboriginals who are fresh off the reserves.

I like the blinking green turn arrows; good attention to, uhh... attention!
Known as the coldest city in Canada but the people are very nice and friendly.
We have "friendly Manitoba" on our license plates.
