As an Estonian(very big sauna culture) who speaks a bit of Russian, I can say that this is incredibly accurate, the Russian is correct but more importantly the Saunaing is correct.
I must admit this is fairly accurate depiction of Banya. Bonding in banya is a very important aspect of Russian cuture. Russian culture is a mix of pagan and christianity so a lot of olde pagan rites such as divination seance, disease ward rites or bestoving of magical powers would take place there. There also lot of spirits living in there, Bannik- guardian of banya itself and his wife Banniha or Obderiha- cranky lady who would offten mess with people but patronizes pregnant women, little mischievous imps Anchutki and many more. Basically every piece of the banya equipment has its own signature spirit whom would punish people for misconduct in banya and has to be pleased in order to visit it safely.
The ironic thing is that in reality there is nothing gay about it and you can get hurt if you tell one of the men or women who go to the bathhouse about it, lol.
