I respect Luiz Ortiz but the fact of the matter is apart from two fights with Wilder, he has fought no one. Dillian Whyte has absolutely nothing to gain by fighting Ortiz whilst he is the number one challenger to the WBC. (That is what it boils down too, and two fights against a man constantly accused of cherry-picking is not an adequate reason to put your spot on the line esp as said man has put you on ice for two and a half years and counting.)I can see why he would go in with a Joseph Parker or Povetkin than Ortiz. Both have more credible opponents (resumes)as opposed to Ortiz. Let's also not forget how Ortiz and his team mysteriously passed up on an opportunity to fight AJ for $7m and instead fought DW for $1.5m. Stepping over dollars to pick up cents!!
