Every television purchased had the barcode scanned and subsequently the serial number which are both printed on the customer’s receipt. Verification that the device serial number matches what’s printed on the receipt literally takes seconds. You generally have 30-90 days, sometimes even up to a year, depending on manufacturer to return a defective television; No Questions Asked. As a current shopper and former employee, justifying yourself to any Walmart employee is absolutely unnecessary. Customer Service, which implies respect for any and every customer was a paramount and terminable offense if broken. Hopefully Walmart still honors their customers in this way even today

I explained to her what happened idk when I first started that we couldn't go out the garden center. I was embarrassed but you got cameras over every register. All they had to do is review the camera

I'm not suprised. I had the same ultimate ending that happened as them in a different situation. I was told they would find a reason for me to be gone and failed because I wasn't doing anything wrong. They just didn't like me because I was shy and didn't like cheating and 3 of the female cashiers didn't like that. Maybe others did not like I was shy but not sure. I thought I was in the clear because I was told not to chit chat with coworkers on the clock is not allowed the day I was hired. I actually ended up as roommates with 2 coworkers and was dating one of the cashiers for a while. Almost a year after being told they would find a reason for me to be gone they ended up making stuff up. I don't think what they made up would even pass in court. Some of my coworkers suggested I should take it to court, that they would help and tell the truth in court but I didn't have much money and some people would say it costs too much and they would have multiple lawyers. Now that I see people actually winning cases makes me think maybe i should have. They ultimately did me a favor and made me realize why you can't trust companies and businesses. I found out by friends that work at other companies that this stuff happens at other companies also so I've stuck at the same job for over 18 years now because I'm afraid to end up working for another company that treats people like this. People say to respect elders but why should I when they treat people like this. I think treating people how they deserve to be treated is a good idea

I had a recent experience of a Walmart in Spring, Tx stealing $100.53 from me though electronic payment system. And for 5 days the store refused to make restitution even though I presented undisputed facts! All verified by electronic record and security footage. Instead, they dismissed me, treated me with indignation. Restitution was ONLY made when I contacted corporate electronic payment system division. Where my claim was clearly proven by their own records which the local store had access too. If their is an attorney viewing my comments. Please provide reply with your contact information.

I don't like Walmart at all because they fired me over the phone on my birthday because I had to go a dentist appointment. It's been hard after that. I still don't have a good job. Just devastated

That's a lie Walmart does allow discrimination I was an employee of Walmart and another employee supervisor of me discriminated against me and nothing was done the guy was not even fired he was put in the cash counting accountant room with his mother to work they hit him away he not only did this to me he did this to my daughter-in-law so if you have any questions I'd be happy to answer them I wished I would have gone after Walmart myself and I wish I still could withhelp

This is Walmart's MO. Don't shop there! Also the SN of the TV is visible on the receipt. Literally all they had to do was match the SN on the TV to the one on the receipt. I worked there for years and was regularly discriminated against. Quitting Walmart is by far one of the best decisions of my life!

Walmart is shameful but I'm not surprised. They picked the wrong two that day. A pastor and an ex-police officer. But I can honestly say I've never had any issues returning anything to Walmart but maybe it's because my local Walmarts have a large number of minorities working there.
That is amazing to me that people actually shop for products on a receipt and do not pay for the items! They have the videos though. If man does not catch you God will! Just do not ever steal period!
People cry and milk the situation for the cameras but in reality I’ll bet they are super happy. It’s pretty much a guaranteed payday. I mean hell, for 500k-5 million I’d think it was worth the embarrassment
I had a recent experience of a Walmart in Spring, Tx stealing $100.53 from me though electronic payment system. And for 5 days the store refused to make restitution even though I presented undisputed facts! All verified by electronic record and security footage. Instead, they dismissed me, treated me with indignation. Restitution was ONLY made when I contacted corporate electronic payment system division. Where my claim was clearly proven by their own records which the local store had access too. If their is an attorney viewing my comments. Please provide reply with your contact information.
