A very happy 50th! what better way to celebrate thanwith a wonderfully relaxed guest with a huge love of his vocation. I selfishly look forward to the next 50 shows, bring it on!
On a visit to East Ruston I smelled a fantastic rose called Rose de molinard. The great man himself told me where to source one which now holds pride of place outside my bedroom window. Next favourite is probably Rosarie de l'hay the scent of which greets me from a distance as I come home from work and never gets diseased.
Very interesting video, thank you. I'm new to roses and have purchased probably far too many for my medium size garden. I bought all of them before doing any research so fingers crossed it all works out. I only have two ramblers, one is ghislaine de feligonde which will be trained against a standard fence on the driveway and then bobbie james which I want to ramble over a very large ugly garage and wall. All the rest are climbers - out the front I have warm welcome, lady of the lake, claire austin and mortimer sackler. Out the back I have the pilgrim, malvern hills, albrighton rambler and paul noel. I have a felicite perpetue to the side. I've also bought lots of old roses and rugosas such as hansa.

Thank you so much for this! Even more for the wishlist now 🙈 Alan will be chuffed to hear how you took the inspiration from his garden 💚
