Church was, different people coming to get me as a kid & take me to different buildings. Long story, short, I learned who Jesus was for sure on, 3/23/1977, baptized in the blood in Rolla, MO. 🙏🏻🕊

I spent my life till I was 38 avoiding religion as much as I could but won’t go into why here. But in 1979 I was volunteering on a kibbutz in Israel and one afternoon while sitting beside the river that ran through the property the words ‘God exists’ went through my mind. No more, no less. Then 6 years later (once I was back home in NZ) God led me, through a set of circumstances, to a small Presbyterian church where I finally asked Jesus into my life. I will never ceased to be amazed at how God works all things for our good.

You hit it out of the ballpark today. Good to know I have company with Augustus. I’ve learned to do what James speaks of in James 5:16, that is, confession because it’s one of Gods provisions for overcoming sin and finding healing or singleness of will. Help for the divided will, which is hellacious, I know this very well. And God did, in fact, heal me from a divided will but it took time, intention and a heavy dose of grace.

Have been religious since college but moved from relationship after I graduated via encouragement of two friends I was working with.
As a child I realized I was happiest in church, praising God. I loved the feeling of singing and being surrounded by folks who love God & me. And I'm encouraged to live in my child-like faith! Because I need to, or have to act like an adult way too much elsewhere.

I always known deep inside that there is something bigger than me out there. I knew about God most of my life. But it wasn't till my 30s that I came to have a relationship with JESUS!! My life has never been the same. I have grown, matured, and faced heavy battles. In all I learned more and more how great is our GOD!!!

I became a follower of Jesus through the people God placed in my life, for which I am eternally grateful. In my story, I have taken time to mark time to see His hand in leading me to Him. He continues to meet me where I am; today waking to start small changes in my routine to change unhealthy habits that He has stirred my soul to change. And…your message addresses my heart and will right where I am today. You can’t make this stuff up. He is a God of tremendous generosity and wonder as He shows up in ways that makes my heart smile. Now, it’s my turn to show up for Him and those He brings into my life to serve. Thank you so much for showing up for us through this ministry. I don’t miss a message as you are people He continues to put in my life to draw me to Him. I’m so grateful for you! ❤️

As a small child, I remember knowing about Jesus. I would occasionally talk to Him, plead to Him, but when I was around 21 I started looking for a church and a bible study. It’s been a following journey ever since. 💕

Breaking habits to overcome desire is a tough thing. Are we willing to break them? If we are, do we do so willingly? Are we ready to put our willfulness to break habits on display? God gave us the will to shed desire and restlessness, but breaking habits remain a tough thing.
It is a challenge so many of us wrestle with - you are not alone - thank you for journeying with us. Blessings Bucky
good afternoon ☀️ Praise report! The gracious Lord revealed two “Ahas” this past few days. Let’s start with mom-she recognizes & accepts her cognitive loss with humbleness not with denial but with letting go… and 2nd is a reveal about me, “Do I want my daughters to treat me the way I treat mom at my weakness?”. I really heard them this time, oh mom, we get it but do you have to say it that way?!?
Oddly,reasoning doesn’t work, but if I use her words-the way she spoke to us when we were kids-then she’d stop or cooperate.
in the big scheme of life, it really doesn’t matter…your friend’s advice is correct…”just love my mom, just love on my mom.” 🙏🏻🥰💕🍃

I love this lesson today. I'm grateful for all your inspirational videos, but I am trying so hard to quit smoking. I've tried to turn it over to God. Obviously not willing to let it go. I'm asking my Lord to help me break the habit again. But now, I need to do my part. No follow-through, no results. I have to do my part. God will do His. 🙏❤️
Doing a lot of reading on church history, the reformation, etc. I know the Gutenberg Bible was printed in 1455. What form of the scriptures would Augustine have had access to?
