Monsang Naga Tribe Hoho Leaders at the
commemoration of NAGA PLEBISCITE DAY:
Monsang Naga Tribe Hoho Leaders led by the President, Sirti Upa Ruh (Monsang Tribe Union) participated the historic COMMEMORATION DAY OF THE NAGA PLEBISCITE DAY OF MAY 16, 1951 (A DAY of PRAYER and THANKSGIVING PROGRAMME) which was held on May 16, 2024 at NBCC Convention Centre, Kohima, Nagaland.
This historic event and commemoration DAY was organised by FNR (Forum for Naga Reconciliation) and supported by Naga Political Groups, Apex Civil Society Organisations and the Church Leaders. The Programme was chaired and moderated by Rev. Dr. Wati Aier, Convenor, FNR.
NG. MONO MONSANG (1914-2010):
Monsang Naga Prominent Leader in the person, (L) Ng. Mono Monsang, the First Naga MLA in Chandel (Tengnoupal), Manipur in the year 1948 (The Manipur State Gazette No. 56-E 4 dated, Imphal, Monday, August 23, 1948), and also the First Chairman, Autonomous District Council, Chandel District participated the historic Naga Plebiscite Day of May 16, 1951. He was one of the past Politicians and Naga Leaders, leading the Naga Peoples during his dynamic age. He was the President of Naga Integration Committee, Manipur (NICM) and also the Executive Committee Member of the Naga Integration Central Council (NICC), Kohima in the years past.
